"Derrick! Oh, thank heavens, you're finally back!" Demmi opened the door and wrapped her arms tightly around Derek as soon as he stepped inside.
Derek, equally surprised, quickly embraced Demmi back and soothed her, saying, "I'm back, I'm back. I'm so sorry I worried you."
"Ahem!" Old Xu cleared his throat with a wry smile as he looked at Derek blocking the doorway.
Realizing her impulsiveness, Demmi looked at Derek with slight embarrassment, then giggled softly as she left his embrace and stepped aside, saying, "Uh... well, you all come in quickly."
Once inside, Old Xu and Derek, along with everyone else, settled on their seats.
Lei Tong was the first to speak up, "Captain, how did the mission go today? Was it smooth?"
Old Xu, knowing full well what Lei Tong meant by the "mission", nodded affirmatively, "It went quite well. Oh, by the way, Demmi, here's today's supply, take it."
