"It seems like they've gone down!"
The noise outside was clearly heard by Old Xu and Lei Tong, but to prevent any deception by the other side, the two men did not take further action.
"Let's wait a bit longer!" To be safe, Old Xu signaled Lei Tong not to move.
They continued like this for over 5 minutes, until they could no longer hear the voices of Hu Chao's group downstairs, and only then did Old Xu finally relax.
Judging by the time, Hu Chao must either go in or retreat, and either way, they would inevitably face zombie attacks.
Combining this with the screams heard earlier, Old Xu felt that the 5-minute wait was enough.
Although he couldn't guarantee 100% that all the zombies had wiped out Hu Chao's gang, he was at least certain that the latter was no longer a threat to harass or attack them.
One had to admit, Old Xu's judgment was indeed very accurate.
Now that Hu Chao's threat was lifted, the next step was to consider their own way out.
