Her voice slipped for a moment, and she almost blurted it out in a low shout.
Everyone in the big screening room heard it.
But they all pretended not to, and not a single person turned to look.
Aiden Sheldon tugged at the corner of his mouth and could only say, "Back when I didn't really understand her, I did think there was something wrong with her."
Especially with Ruby Sheldon fanning the flames...
Thinking back on it now, Aiden still felt a bit ashamed.
"...So you understand her now? But you two aren't close. Where did this 'understanding' come from?" Ruby fell silent for a moment, then asked, not without sharpness.
