"I attended an international seminar. Did you know your blood type is quite rare?" Director Xing asked, "It's what's commonly called 'panda blood.'"
This concept has only spread domestically in the past few years. Initially, Director Xing wasn't aware either, but at this seminar, he heard a colleague share a case about a pregnant woman who lost her life and her child's because of her panda blood type. It left Director Xing in shock.
Suddenly, he remembered when Wang Yuan was in labor, it was difficult to find the right blood. Luckily, Wang Yuan's brother had the same blood type, and by donating his blood, she got through that critical time.
This is why Director Xing sought out Wang Yuan immediately after returning.
"You should get your blood tested to see if you're RH negative," Doctor Xing suggested, "If you are, then we'll investigate from that angle and see if there are any children with the same blood type around your age."
This would greatly narrow down the search.
