Lin Li had been seated for quite a while, looked around, and regrettably discovered that the living room didn't have the banner he asked Yangliang to give to Xue Jian.
He was a bit disappointed not to see it treated like a precious treasure on display.
Could it be that he isn't a treasure in Xue Jian's heart, and Xue Jian doesn't love him enough to care about his possessions?
At that moment, Xue Jian's wife looked particularly at Lin Li and Bai Bufan, with a slight smile before speaking:
"Lin Li and Bufan, help yourselves, eat more. Although your Teacher Xue said he didn't want you to come, he was actually quite welcoming and immediately started preparing this table full of food for you both upon learning you were coming."
Just as Lin Li and Bai Bufan settled on the sofa, they noticed something was amiss before they could even say thank you.
The two exchanged glances and nodded.
