When Paver looked up, he shuddered instantly, seeing many people here. Although they had human faces, in his vision, many were wrapped in indistinct, translucent tentacles. Some had even merged with these tentacles; the purple-red grotesque appendages extended from the spinal position and climbed up the back to the shoulders, finally winding around the neck, slightly squirming.

Paver is a native of Mark City, having seen all sorts of mythical creatures like Witch Demons, Vampires, Demons, Angels, Devils, Titans, etc. Yet today, upon seeing the eerie tentacles cast behind these people, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of soul trembling.
There must be something terrifying here!
