Chapter 452 - Chapter 452: The Gorosei's War Council

Holy Land Mary Geoise, the Chamber of Power. The Gorosei sat on three long sofas, their attention fixed on the five den den mushi placed on the table before them. Four of the snails projected different live broadcast screens. The war erupting at Marine Headquarters had captured the world's attention, and the Gorosei, holding the highest authority in the World Government, were no exception.

As Celestial Dragons of the privileged class, they didn't need to rely on the Marine's public broadcast like ordinary civilians. They had dispatched CP0 agents as battlefield reporters, using den den mushi near the execution platform for live broadcasts and commentary. This allowed the five of them in Mary Geoise to monitor the battlefield with precision.

Incidentally, this setup also enabled them to supervise the Marine high command, keeping tabs on Sengoku and others. If necessary, they could issue urgent orders through CP0 for the Marines to execute.

Issac Baron V. Nasujuro leaned his saber against himself and turned to the others. "What do you think the outcome of this war will be?"

Topman Warcury Saint stroked his upward-curled white mustache, deep in thought. "There's a high probability both sides will suffer heavy losses," he mused.

In his view, with Sephiroth, Kong, the Shichibukai, and three hundred Pacifista as reinforcements, the Marine's combat power was roughly on par with—or perhaps slightly weaker than—the combined forces of the three Four Emperors crews. The Gorosei didn't dare to hope for a decisive Marine victory, but a mutually destructive outcome seemed plausible.

As Kong ordered the Marine's public broadcast to be cut off, three of the four screens in front of the Gorosei went dark, leaving only the den den mushi held by CP0 agent Stussy. Still, this was enough for them to grasp the general situation on the battlefield.

Shepherd Ten Peter smiled as Akainu emerged from the ground, delivering a chest-piercing blow to Whitebeard. "Akainu did well," he praised. "Heavy injury through a sneak attack. If they keep wearing Whitebeard down and eventually kill him, the scales of war should tip in the Marine's favor."

Topman Warcury Saint stroked his long white beard, muttering, "Though the process seems rather despicable and shameless..."

A moment later, a shout echoed from the live broadcast screen. "Ace!!! Sabo and I are here to save you!" The Gorosei focused their gaze, watching as Luffy and his companions charged directly toward the execution platform.

Jaygarcia Saturn Saint gripped his cane with both hands, frowning at the projected screen. "Straw Hat has also come," he said, his tone uneasy. "And the Revolutionary Army's Chief of Staff, Sabo... Why is the Revolutionary Army getting involved? The Marine finally gained some advantage, and now things might get tricky."

Issac Baron V. Nasujuro gently stroked his chin, his tone growing serious. Jaygarcia Saturn Saint watched the scene of Luffy and Kong exchanging blows and deliberated aloud, "How about we have CP0 kill Straw Hat?"

"With CP0's strength, they probably can't defeat Straw Hat outright—he's defeated two Shichibukai, after all."

"Then let them launch a sneak attack and assassination. They are agents, not warriors, so they don't necessarily need to fight head-on. If we don't act soon, Straw Hat might very well make Nika reappear."

"For eight hundred years, the Nika Fruit has evaded us, passing through generation after generation of hosts without awakening. Straw Hat might not be able to awaken it either. Are we being overly worried?"

After careful deliberation, the Gorosei decided to target Luffy and issued orders to CP0. Moments later, relief washed over their faces as they watched two CP0 agents successfully ambush the straw-hatted pirate. Yet their satisfaction was short-lived—their agents' heads were blown clean off by Garp.

Topman Warcury Saint clenched his hands, his voice dripping with disdain. "That Garp dares kill CP0 agents on the battlefield? He must have a death wish!" Shepherd Ten Peter sneered in agreement. "He thinks his title as Marine Hero gives him free rein? After this war, we'll deal with him."

"Publicly betraying the World Government is unforgivable," another member chimed in. The others nodded in unison, their eyes fixed on the live broadcast showing Garp weeping bitterly. Just as they were about to pronounce his death sentence, a thunderous heartbeat echoed from the projection screen.

Drums of Liberation! ×5

The Gorosei's pupils contracted, shock and bewilderment twisting their expressions. "Nika!" ×5

"Nika has finally appeared," one murmured. "The gears of destiny are turning again," another added. "Now Straw Hat poses a greater threat than any Emperor!"

BururuBururuBururu~

The den den mushi on the table rang sharply. Topman Warcury Saint picked up the receiver, his tone cautious. "Im is preparing to use that now... But the outcome between the Marines and the Pirates remains undecided. We still have a chance to erase Nika." He paused, then added, "Im demands absolute certainty—no failures, no oversights." Silence hung heavy in the room.

At Marineford, Red-Haired Shanks' voice boomed from the execution platform, cutting through the chaos. "Everyone, give me some face... Let's end this war here." Sengoku's expression darkened, his voice low. "Red Hair... you!" The battle still raged below.

Though the fighting at the execution platform had ceased, the vast Marineford battlefield remained a blood-soaked frenzy. Sengoku hesitated, his gaze shifting to Kong for guidance. Kong sighed, his tone resigned. "Red-Haired Shanks, your plea means nothing. You don't speak for the Whitebeard Pirates, the Big Mom Pirates, or the remnants of the Beasts Pirates."

The arrival of the Red Hair Pirates had turned the tide against the Marines. If Shanks chose to exploit their weakness, the Marine elite could be annihilated here and now.

"I have no interest in fighting the Marines," Shanks said casually, his eyes drifting to Whitebeard, surrounded in Oris Plaza. "I've rescued Ace. Whitebeard, what's your next move?"

Whitebeard laughed heartily, his voice echoing across the battlefield. "Gurara la la! Red Hair brat, I'll grant you that. This war ends here." He knew his time was running out; his life force ebbed with every passing moment. Continuing the fight would only lead to more deaths among his crew.

Shanks turned his attention to Big Mom Charlotte Linlin, his tone calm but firm.

"Big Mom, what are your intentions?"

"Mamamamama!" Big Mom cackled, her laughter laced with malice. "Red-Haired Shanks, you're quite the tyrant! Forcing me to choose, are you?" Her voice dripped with hostility.

"Big Mom, I..." Shanks began, but his words trailed off.

Boom boom boom-! In an instant, the sky changed color, dark clouds covered the firmament, lightning flashed and thunder roared, and darkness enveloped the entire world. A huge black shadow passed through the clouds, causing many people on the battlefield to look up and gaze at the sky.

Red-Haired Shanks, Rayleigh, Sengoku, and others whose Observation Haki was strong enough to foresee the future, their pupils suddenly contracted, and their faces showed expressions of despair, as if they had directly seen something terrifying. Pretty?! Damn Imu!...... Sephiroth looked up at the sky.

By foreseeing the future using Observation Haki, he directly saw the apocalyptic catastrophe that was about to descend upon the entire Marineford island. Knowing the original plot, he could tell with his toes that Imu was likely unable to play anymore, and was preparing to use an ancient weapon to completely erase the entire Marineford, including the island and its inhabitants!

Soon, a large area of dazzling green light shone down from the dark clouds, instantly enveloping the entire Marineford island, so blinding that people could barely open their eyes and could not look directly at it. Suddenly, the green light abruptly turned scarlet, as if signaling the arrival of the apocalyptic catastrophe. Boom -! Boom -! Boom -!

Beams of red light suddenly shot down from the clouds, penetrating the ground and reaching deep underground, and began to converge rapidly in a certain direction. Wherever the light beams passed, all buildings were reduced to dust, and some unlucky individuals caught in the beams had their bodies instantly turned to ash.

Immediately after, a massive energy sphere with a diameter of tens of kilometers, emitting scorching heat, pierced through the rolling black clouds with lightning speed, dragging a scarlet light column through the air, and carrying the terrifying power of destruction, suddenly smashed down from the sky, targeting... Marineford!

Seeing this scene, many people showed expressions of despair, filled with fear and terror. They completely did not understand why such an apocalyptic catastrophe, like a natural disaster, would occur, leaving them nowhere to escape. However... Just at this moment.

Sephiroth, wearing a white cloak of justice, tightly gripped his butcher knife in his right hand, and suddenly leaped up from Oris Plaza, actively meeting the gigantic energy sphere that covered the sky. The size difference between the two was too vast, giving people the feeling that it was as ridiculous as a tiny ant charging at a massive elephant. The next moment. "Secret Sword: Swallow Return!"

Sephiroth roared, an invisible sound wave spread out, echoing through the heavens and earth, and the butcher knife in his hand continuously swung three scarlet sword energy slashes, each a thousand meters long, towards the sky, and rapidly flew back in reverse.

Immediately, the three sword energy slashes, each over a thousand meters long, connected together, forming a massive spatial gate, emitting a "Crack-!" sound, revealing the light green world within the gate. Hundredfold Amplification!

As Sephiroth activated his Amplify-Amplify Fruit ability, the massive spatial gate, over a thousand meters long, suddenly expanded a hundredfold, becoming a sky-swallowing giant gate over a hundred kilometers long. Swoosh-!

Under the astonished and joyful gazes of countless people, the sky-covering energy sphere was directly swallowed by the spatial gate, disappearing from the sky above Marineford island, as if it had never appeared....... The Gorosei seemed to sense something and collectively looked up towards the window. Crack-!

A massive spatial gate, tearing through the firmament, suddenly opened from the sky, revealing the light green world within the gate. The next moment. Dazzling red light suddenly enveloped the entire Holy Land Mary Geoise.

A colossal energy sphere—tens of kilometers wide, radiating unstoppable destructive force—plummeted from the heavens. It struck the Red Line dead center, obliterating Holy Land Mary Geoise in an instant.

Issac Baron V. Nasujuro's face twisted in horror.

Shepherd Ten Peter gaped, frozen.

Topman Warcury Saint stood motionless.

Marcus Mars Saint's jaw dropped.

Jaygarcia Saturn Saint recoiled as if struck.

Inside Mary Geoise, the so-called gods of the world—the Celestial Dragons—stared blankly at the cataclysm unfolding before them. Their expressions shifted from arrogance to sheer disbelief, then to raw terror.

Some collapsed where they stood, their bodies betraying them in fear. Others soiled themselves, too paralyzed to move. The ground quaked violently as the sphere made impact.

Boom—!

The energy sphere didn't just crush the Red Line—it compressed everything in its path downward with relentless force. Stone, steel, flesh—all were flattened, melted, or vaporized instantly.

From a distance, the sight was apocalyptic. The sphere's sheer mass and searing heat liquefied the earth beneath it, driving everything deeper into the planet's core.

Mary Geoise vanished in a flash. The Celestial Dragons, their opulent palaces, their entire world—gone. Even Fish-Man Island, buried ten thousand meters underwater, was dragged into the abyss, crushed into nothingness.

All that remained was a gaping chasm where the Red Line once stood. Seawater roared into the void, but the pit was bottomless. The ocean itself couldn't fill it.

The impact tore a hole dozens of kilometers wide through the Red Line, creating a vast new strait. Air currents shifted violently, altering the Grand Line's climate forever. The Calm Belts—once impassable barriers—simply ceased to exist.

The East Blue and South Blue became unobstructed, and the West Blue and North Blue were also the same.
