UK:GSW Chapter 450 – Uchiha Madara: Life Is Good Now, I'm Very Satisfied

For the Hyuga clan, the existence of Otsutsuki Hamura had always felt more like legend and myth. After all, they truly didn't know who their ancestor was— they even regarded the Sage of the Six Paths as nothing more than a mythical figure, not someone who actually existed.

Now, the Sage of the Six Paths' younger brother had jumped out in front of them, proving that the Sage was real, and then telling the Hyuga clan: "The Sage of the Six Paths' younger brother is your ancestor." Surprised? Unexpected?

Uh… to be honest, the Hyuga clan's first reaction was that this guy was just a total idiot—some random conman with an unbelievably bad lie. Who would believe that?

Suspicion and doubt—those were the only responses from the Hyuga who heard about this.

It wasn't until the new clan head, Hyuga Hiashi, brought the "ancestor" to the Hyuga estate and had him use his overwhelming power to make every Hyuga kneel, that they were forced to accept the fact: their ancestor was the Sage of the Six Paths' younger brother. And somehow, this ancestor who had been dead for centuries had found a way to live a second life.

Frankly speaking, the absurdity of it all made the Hyuga feel as if the world itself was an illusion—utterly unreal.

But no matter how unacceptable it was, this was reality. And reality had to be accepted. So in a very short time, the Hyuga clan had been forced to accept that a branch of people with the surname Otsutsuki existed, undergo internal reforms, and then witness their millennia-old ancestor "return from the grave" to show divine power before them.

It all felt less like the real world and more like the sort of over-the-top plot twist in a genjutsu-based game.

Just like in the currently popular genjutsu blockbuster The Last Ninja, where the protagonist finds a way to call forth the souls of the dead, follows clues from NPCs, goes through a series of incidents, engages in battles of wits and direct conflict with antagonists, and eventually descends into the underworld. There, they encounter the souls of many ancestors—including legendary shinobi from across history and founders of great clans—and, with their aid, accomplish a key mission and defeat the arc's villain.

This wasn't even a main quest in the game—it was just a side quest. But thanks to the superb writing, background music, and composition, it made players feel like they were watching an unforgettable movie.

That's why the Hyuga felt their current experience was like playing a game—because it was simply too fantastical.

Even in a world like the shinobi world, where the extraordinary is common and strange powers abound, having an ancestor from a thousand years ago return from the dead was still outrageous.

And so, in this bizarre situation, the Hyuga clan began cooperating with the moon's Otsutsuki in research alongside Orochimaru's group.

Thanks to the clan's recent reforms, Hiashi gave his people much greater freedom. Those with other interests could pursue them rather than being forced into roles assigned by the clan.

In the past, all Hyuga work was assigned by the clan. Even shinobi missions commissioned by the village were first given to the Hyuga clan, who then sent people to complete them. The clan truly controlled everything.

It looked similar to the Uchiha clan, but the Uchiha had been actively restricted by the village and forced into the Konoha Military Police Force, whereas the Hyuga had no such restrictions.

In fact, the village's departments were all open to the Hyuga—yet the Hyuga's own internal rules and the Caged Bird Jutsu bound them, leaving them as emotionless tools. The rebellion of the branch house following Hiashi made it clear that many didn't actually want this life.

Now, with all restrictions gone, the large Hyuga clan naturally had members with all sorts of interests. Quite a few were interested in research and learning. These people seized the chance, joining the research group to learn under top scientific minds like Orochimaru.

Uchiha Kei did not disappoint these ambitious Hyuga. He decisively supported them, providing special learning scrolls.

These scrolls, unlike Konoha's standard ones, directly connected to a learning space within the genjutsu world. In essence, the scroll was a medium—allowing limited use of the learning space without fully entering the genjutsu world. This was one of Kei's optimization measures to protect the secrecy of the genjutsu world while maximizing its educational value.

The results were excellent. Everyone who used the scroll praised it, and Konoha quickly gained trained personnel this way.

Of course, the main reason was Kei's greatly enhanced power after awakening the Rinnegan.

Without the Rinnegan's support, Kei couldn't have created so many innovations.

It all proved one thing—hard work couldn't match the effects of having a cheat.

In the past, Kei had been extremely motivated, training at Might Guy levels to improve himself—only to injure himself without much progress. After gaining the system, even though it wasn't a direct combat system but one for making games in the modern world, his power skyrocketed beyond all his years of training.

A bit ironic to think about.

Still, Kei wasn't the type to dwell on negativity. He accepted that his talent was lacking and leaned into his "cheat," using it to achieve great results. That was enough for him. And he wouldn't stop—so long as he moved forward, the road would keep stretching ahead.

While Kei supported them, the moon's Otsutsuki technicians also began to show their value.

The moon's Otsutsuki had always retained enough technical personnel to meet their own needs and held a tradition of valuing knowledge and wisdom. Their tech experts could immediately contribute to the Tenseigan research—unlike the Hyuga, who needed training first.

What surprised Konoha's leadership most was that the moon's Otsutsuki also had a top-tier scientific genius. While lacking some foundational knowledge compared to Orochimaru's group now, they weren't far off from Orochimaru's team in the past. With systematic training, they could sit at the same table as the top minds.

After confirming this genius was trustworthy, they were granted access to the learning space in the genjutsu world for full, unrestricted top-tier education.

Of course, that was as far as it went. Access to the genjutsu world's other resources required contributions and further proof of trustworthiness.

Latecomers couldn't enjoy the same benefits as the founding group—it wouldn't be fair. Unless you were an existence like Senju Hashirama or Otsutsuki Hamura, you could forget it.

Even Hamura and Hashirama only had such privileges because, as heroic spirits, Kei could fully control them. Madara, on the other hand, though treated with respect, had no chance of slipping into the inner circle to enjoy core resources.

Speaking of Madara—lately, he'd been living quite comfortably. Thanks to Kei, he no longer had to stay hidden underground; he could openly live in the sunlight, with his own luxurious residence.

Now, if he wanted to meet Muzi, they could simply arrange it without elaborate cover stories or contrived meetings.

Madara's happiness was that simple.

Recently, he wasn't only playing The Last Ninja—he'd also been playing Shinobi World War. That game's map-making event was reaching its final stage, with voting now open in the genjutsu network.

The map he made with "Muzi," despite complications from the involvement of "Uzumaki Kenshin," was successfully completed and uploaded, sparking a strong reaction.

Madara had incorporated his own insights, past battlefield experiences, and unique locations into the map. He also took suitable suggestions from Kenshin and used the map editor's flexibility to add traps, mechanisms, items, and other elements—creating a highly detailed, varied, and replayable map that could even serve as a war training tool.

It was a perfect showcase of Madara's Warring States–era mastery, blending his lifetime of knowledge into a game for all shinobi with access to the genjutsu network.

He was clearly confident—proud, even.

The map received widespread praise and caught the eye of those with strategic vision, who quickly downloaded it for study. Ninja villages and other forces organized teams to practice in the game, using it to learn the warfare concepts embedded within.

Though it reflected the wisdom of the Warring States period, Madara was someone whose perspective and intellect stood above all others—far beyond even the Senju brothers in many respects.

Notably, Hashirama had also contributed ideas to the map, though disguised under the "Muzi" persona. Muzi's naturally clumsy, earnest demeanor kept Madara from suspecting anything—and in fact, he found Muzi's efforts to think things through endearing, amusing, and genuine.

A fixed stereotype, really.
