While each group went on their way, Shurry sent a wolf with each team to ensure no accidents happened. This action didn't go unnoticed by the gods. Though the supporters who remained behind for their significantly more relaxed training, didn't notice it at all while they were focused on cleaning up after lunch.
Freya, sipped her drink and let her lips curl into a sensational grin. "I saw that, Fenrir." She said, elaborating on it no further. "What's next?"
"You're going to draw lots." Shurry answered with a curt swiftness.
"Draw lots?"
"Yes, one of you will go to the 67th floor and summon a revulsion monster. They will conquer this monster on their own." Shurry explained.
"Wait just a minute. You really think our children can handle that?" Loki asked.
"Nope. Not your children, Loki. They'll die in this fight. Provided they remain so stuck." Shurry answered. "But it's not for them. At least it isn't for them to handle, rather my wolves will kill it." He said.
"Why do this then?" Hestia asked.
""Interesting…"" Takemikazuchi, and Freya said in unison, instinctually understanding the situation.
"Oh, Take, can you tell me?" Hestia asked, amplifying her cute factor.
"It's simple really. Shurry's breaking down their preconceptions of power. He's been doing it this whole way."
"Then what about that creature up on the 58th floor?" Hestia asked again.
"If you mean Balrog… he's a unique one. He can spawn at different levels of power depending on how long one waits to someone him. The last time he was summoned was probably about 16 or even 17 years ago. Yet, even so, they can't hope to defeat the monsters on the floors beneath us without actually trying. It's why I had Bell go to the deepest floor. And sent the wolves just to end any issues the others can't handle."
"Just how strong are your wolves?" Loki sneered.
"Individually, they are stronger than all of this timeline's strongest living members." Shurry answered. "I've shown Hestia, Takemikazuchi, and Miach the war we fought against that damn dragon… You were definitely impatient, sending Zeus and Hera familias after it like that."
Shurry stretched and yawned, getting a move on he made his way over to the gaggle of supporters each expecting some training.
"It seems we're not going to get an actual answer yet." Freya smiled.
"Don't be upset with my son. He has his reasons for withholding that information." Hathor said, clearly attempting to claim Shurry as her very own.
"Don't be like that you damn pyramid lover." Loki said with a low cackle. "If he's your child then after he leaves, I'll take my frustration out on you." She grinned, and then suddenly felt a horrible feeling of permadeath appear behind her.
Loki began sweating, profusely… She turned slowly, tensing up further with each and every degree, making the next harder than the last. She did this until the picture of horror filled her view, Shurry didn't appear as the tall muscular man… Oh no, he appeared as the incarnation of her end, the end…
Shurry flashed a grin, staring right into Loki's eyes. "Say, that, one, more, time." He spoke in a tone so heavy the dungeon safe zone started creating many things in efforts to appease the horrible power, to no avail…
Loki gulped as she stared into pupils dilated with a secret delight as if he was hoping she would give him a reason. "I… I won't do that, I'll even control my familia so they don't attack at all. I swear on my palace in heaven, and Odin himself!" She managed to speak out of her trembling lips.
Shurry read Loki's emotions for a moment and then, instantly the horrible feeling he emitted retracted as if nothing had happened at all, and he laughed. "That's good, very good. Though you shouldn't be talking about that, know it all, like that." He said with a big smile. "Though, it is true that you did just make a terrible threat and I'm not the type to just let that slide. So, Hestia, in the future, if Hathor familia is ever attacked by a force her familia can not handle, consider them your enemy as well. And mother, I'll do what I can to have them grow stronger."
"Yeah, yeah, I got it. She helped us with Freya and her shenanigans." Hestia agreed, albeit a little reluctantly.
"Get a little more energetic about it and I'll let you have your rations back." Shurry said with a small smile.
Hestia stood up and posed proudly, with a hand on her hip. "Not a problem at all! With my precious Bell, we'll make sure our familias prosper." She declared with a giant smile.
The gods all gave a few laughs at the suddenness of the situation.
"You'll also have Leon and Malik to help." Baldr mentioned with a calm smile.
"Oh, wow, thank you! That'll help a lot." Hathor smirked. "I'll give you a little discount at some of my familia's businesses." She said.
"Incidentally. There's something I'd like to try, Hathor." Baldr said, continuing to smile.
"Oh? Is your Malik wanting to find a woman? Need someone to play match maker?" Hathor giggled, having full information of Shurry's timeline.
"Uh, yeah… Actually, that would be great. Your Dark Sand Girl, Nernatti, has shown some interest, and while he denies it, he's been interested for a while now." Baldr confirmed.
"Pfft, seeing those two together would be wonderful." Hathor smiled. "I'll have to throw a big party."
Shurry went back to helping the supporters training, thankful that some things were inevitable now that he'd intervened.
A few hours went by, and the supporters were exhausted, and giving a break before they'd have to prepare for what would be a dinner rush.
"Alright…" Shurry stretched. "Time to go, so which god wants to see this particular view?" He asked with a grin. Seeing all hands going up, he chuckled. "Then let's go."
The sight that befell the current generation of the canon timeline was nothing short of horrifying. A monster so strong they really couldn't hope to beat it. And then… Shurry's wolves ate it like a snack. The recognition of their weakness, combined with their new resolve sparked something in all of their souls. Not as strong as Bell's spark, but something incredible nonetheless.
