The night grew deeper as Yang Cheng led Jiang Yu to the most luxurious five-star hotel in Linzhou.
The receptionist saw them and a hint of ambiguity flickered in her eyes, but her professionalism prevented her from asking questions as she swiftly handled the check-in procedures.
"Sir, your room card. I hope you have a pleasant stay."
Yang Cheng took the room card and led Jiang Yu into the elevator.
Once the door closed, the small space contained only the two of them, and Jiang Yu could clearly hear her own heartbeat.
The elevator reached the top floor, and Yang Cheng swiped open the room door, leading Jiang Yu inside.
It was a presidential suite, opulently decorated, with soft lighting and a magnificent floor-to-ceiling window overlooking Linzhou's nightscape, making it impossible for one to tear their eyes away.
"So beautiful!"
Jiang Yu walked to the window, marveling at the night scene outside, with awe reflected in her beautiful eyes.
