Pedro Langley came out after his shower and saw Nora Scott video chatting with Flora Loughton.
In front of Flora, Nora behaved quite properly, even sitting more upright than usual.
"We're not going back for the New Year, Mom wants us to go over for New Year's Eve." After hanging up the call, Nora passed the news on to Pedro.
Pedro warmed a glass of milk for her, "Mm." Then he added, "Before you married into our family, we never celebrated New Year's Eve."
"Really?"
Raising her eyebrows, Nora took a sip of milk, quite surprised.
But upon thinking it over, last New Year's Eve, Pedro was still out on blind dates, then unexpectedly bumped into her to celebrate the New Year's Eve together, from beginning to end, Pedro didn't contact his family.
Pedro casually revealed, "A hundred excuses for mother-in-law wanting to see the heavenly daughter-in-law."
Nora laughed out loud.
Chatting about the New Year with Pedro, Nora slowly finished her glass of milk.
