"Someone's been here."
Pedro Langley scanned the surroundings warily.
His voice was so low that only Nora Scott could hear it clearly.
Nora looked up.
At first glance, she couldn't spot anything out of the ordinary. Her instantaneous memory was decent; before leaving, she'd specifically taken a look around the tent. Everything was exactly where it had been, with no visible sign of being disturbed.
Pedro Langley patted Nora's shoulder, then walked over to their suitcases and picked up a small strand of wire from the ground.
He pinched it between his fingers, lifted it toward Nora, and let her take a look.
Nora's brows knit slightly.
Then, after briefly meeting Pedro Langley's eyes, she put down the clothes in her hand and slipped quietly out of the tent.
She waited just outside.
Pedro Langley followed her out as well.
