Chapter 449: The Thirteenth Series Episode (End)

The results, as expected, didn't disappoint. The moment Zhou Ning touched down, he demonstrated overwhelming dominance befitting the protagonist. No one knew why he didn't use the same special ability that defeated the King of Ravidus—players guessed it was on cooldown or had restrictions—but even without it, his raw combat power was astonishing.

From earlier light brain tags, players had already seen the level and combat stats of the pirates—every one a high-tier transcendent above level 70, eleven in total. Under optimal conditions, a group like this could potentially storm and take an entire island.

But Zhou Ning, clad in a black trench coat, appeared completely unfazed. Facing the barrage of flintlock bullets and lethal attacks, he moved through them like flowing water—countless shots grazing his silhouette before ripping into walls behind him.

At that moment, the light brain snapped to an extreme close-up. Wayne Sturwell's signature execution music surged once more.

Players watched him evade a coordinated strike from multiple pirates with dazzling footwork, causing one man's summoned fire wyrm to strike another instead, erupting into chaos. The light brain tagged one of the pirates with a name, level, and HP bar.

[Skinny Bill (Lv. 71 Transcendent Meteorologist): HP 16964/16964]

In the close-up, Zhou Ning leaned right, spun on his heel, pivoted—dark red moonlight flickering over his black coat as he stalked like a phantom through the storm of blades. With an unreadable expression, he leveled his gun at Skinny Bill and pulled the trigger.

The light brain held on that moment for an intentional brief pause—so that when the bullet spiraled out of the muzzle, the impact hit that much harder.

Everyone held their breath.

BANG!

The body flew backwards like it was hit by a battering ram. Blood mist exploded from the forehead.

One shot. Nearly 17,000 HP evaporated instantly. A massive, gory crater punched straight through his skull. He toppled backwards, stone dead.

"Holy shit!"

"Goosebumps!"

"That shot is three Gascols in one!"

The chat detonated. Players hammered the message feed, screaming their excitement.

It wasn't that they were inexperienced—just that this was the first time Wayne Sturwell had ever dealt such catastrophic damage using a firearm. The Class Advancement dungeon boss Priest Gascol, who walled most players, had just over 5,000 HP. And now, a pirate who looked like an elite threat had his full bar erased in one bullet. The spectacle was unreal.

Sensing the protagonist's lethal strength, the pirates doubled down in fury—hurling flaming spears, snapping off shots from their flintlocks, launching binding spells in an attempt to pin him down.

Amid the disorienting storm of abilities, players saw Zhou Ning respond as if he could read every attack before it landed—calm, precise, shifting direction with micro-steps, slides, strafes, even aerial redirects. The light brain helpfully marked spell ranges—31 yards—and Zhou Ning constantly danced just outside that threshold.

Most players could now clearly read the lessons in his fights—this was pure PvP textbook content. Warrior duels, caster spacing, ability baiting. But only top-tier competitive players caught the real detail: Zhou Ning wasn't just dodging—he was herding them, funneling all eleven pirates into a single cluster.

And then he stopped retreating.

The opening arrived. Zhou Ning launched forward—crossing into striking range. At the same time, an overwhelming, physical aura exploded outward from him.

"HERE IT IS! Conqueror's Haki!"

"NUCLEAR LOCK-ON DETECTED!"

Chat erupted like wildfire. Since Episode 3, this move had become Wayne Sturwell's hallmark—the moment when victory was assured.

This time, the aura was even stronger. A tree split and crashed to the ground. Shockwaves burst outward. Debris hammered into walls. Two pirates dropped instantly, blown unconscious. Others staggered, stunned.

And then—

A massive black dragon descended from the heavens, crashing into the earth with cataclysmic force.

Spikes of stone detonated outward as the ground ruptured, launching the tightly clustered pirates into the air.

At the same moment, two enormous wings of blazing light unfolded behind the protagonist as he unleashed a mid-air bullet hell.

The light brain continued tracking enemy HP bars. Players watched in real time as the pirates' health melted in rhythmic chunks under Ebony and Ivory's thunderous cadence. Then—almost insultingly—he triggered Revenge for burst follow-up, kicking off Moonstep into an aerial spin, raining spiraling rounds threaded with flame and ripple energy.

Next came Seventh Wing—feathers drifting outward across the sky.

The visual overload was unreal. Pure adrenaline.

Zhou Ning landed lightly, bent down, picked up his hat, dusted it off, and set it back on his head.

One pirate grazed a falling feather.

Chain explosions ignited.

HP bars collapsed in sequence.

Bodies dropped.

The music cut to silence.

Maximum style. Maximum impact.

Every player watching just stared, brains blank, screaming 666.

This was insanity.

Only minutes earlier, the demigod Angus Motley had needed everything he had to hold seven or eight of these monsters to a stalemate.

And Wayne Sturwell just deleted eleven of them, in under two minutes.

Episode 13 approached its finale.

The view cut back to the street. Waves of werewolves charged forward—but barricades of stone and earth were already in place. Machine gun emplacements and heavy cannons opened fire. Above, an airship hovered, raining strafing fire as artillery thundered below, tearing through the lycanthrope horde.

Brutal. Bloody. A reminder that the age had changed.

The later battle against Seras barely involved the protagonist, but still dazzled viewers. Despite his superior strength, Seras was immobilized by Angus Motley's demigod form, trapped under layered weather phenomena and binding decrees, ultimately dying blood-drenched beneath a combined assault of mortals and one demigod. Players left deeply impressed by the terrifying authority of decree powers.

A final epilogue scene played—deep in the northern jungle of Teldron Island, at a hidden ritual altar, a hooded middle-aged woman received a divine revelation. Her lips curled slowly into a smile.

The screen faded to black.

Episode 13 — End.

Zhou Ning leaned back after watching.

Overall conclusion: Not bad.

Yes, the light brain had exposed a lot, but not the core pieces that mattered. His popularity had declined slightly after two weeks at sea—this episode not only revived it, but multiplied it beyond before.

If he remembered correctly, a massive influx of new players would arrive after the first Pro League tournament. The new abilities showcased in the episode would likely draw huge numbers into the Gunner class—specifically into the roaming gunslinger path. More importantly, it would pull countless players toward developing in Nathaniell.

And, of course—

The content-heavy episode detonated across the Apocalypse Forum.
