Chapter 286: There Is a Thing Called a Scene-Storing Stone
"Yes, Master!"
Huang Xi spoke softly. She raised her hand, and countless runes appeared upon her palm—dense as raindrops—each one carrying the aura of utter annihilation.
Chi! Chi! Chi!
One rune after another shot out, each as massive as a sun. Divine radiance swirled around them, formed entirely of the purest sword energy. In the air, they manifested terrifying power.
The force they unleashed was enough to destroy heaven and earth. The firmament was pierced through, and even the sun in the sky dimmed in comparison.
The runes surged like a vast ocean. Among them, sword energy fell like descending stars—like a crimson sun crashing down.
Boom!!
Xiao Yuhe, who had already slipped into the void, was instantly forced out.
Then, millions of lights descended upon him, completely drowning the area where he stood. Centered on him, thousands of miles of mountain ranges exploded at once—reduced to powder in an instant.
Xiao Yuhe, the remaining Divine Palace Realm cultivators, and the Otherworldly Demons—all were engulfed together. None even had time to scream before turning into dust.
"Master, how do you wish to deal with him?"
With a casual wave, Huang Xi grabbed a faint, illusory remnant soul from the shattered stone debris—that remnant soul was all that was left of Xiao Yuhe, now weakened nearly to nothing.
Her previous strike had nearly shattered his Sacred Weapon as well.
The ancient bell that once carried the aura of suppressing all ages was now broken and covered in countless cracks—horrifying to look at.
It seemed as though even a light touch would cause it to collapse completely.
"Li Xun, you've brought great trouble upon yourself. Up to this point, everything still had room for negotiation. But now that so many powerhouses from various factions have died, they will never let you go!"
"Especially my Xiao Clan. With a Quasi-Emperor presiding, even if they must scour the heavens and earth, they will personally come to kill you!"
Xiao Yuhe remained defiant.
Even with his soul weak to the extreme, his voice was cold and firm.
By now, he fully understood—there was no escaping.
With Li Xun's temperament, he would never let him go. The Spirit Clan Saint had been killed moments earlier; why would Li Xun hesitate before killing a Xiao Clan Saint?
Rather than beg and lose the dignity of a Saint, it was better to remain unyielding and maintain the face of the Xiao Clan.
"If I recall correctly, messages can't be transmitted out of the Abyssal Demons' Burial."
Li Xun glanced at Xiao Yuhe, speaking with an unreadable tone.
"Hm?"
Xiao Yuhe's heart tightened. A bad premonition rose within him.
"What do you mean by that?"
The Abyssal Demons' Burial was a strange place. The laws of heaven and earth here were warped and resembled those of the Otherworldly Demon realm.
It heavily suppressed a cultivator's spiritual sense.
In this place, even extending one's spiritual sense outward was incredibly difficult—much less transmitting information outside.
He dared to strike the Golden Crow Clan members and the Sea God Palace forces because he knew that no messages could leave this place. Even if he killed them all, no one on the outside would know.
Once he left, he could simply claim that Li Xun had slaughtered those people.
After all, the Xiao Clan bore no grudges against the Golden Crow Clan or the Sea God Palace.
But Li Xun… had deep enmity with them.
Who would those factions believe? The answer was obvious.
But now, Li Xun's casual remark made unease grow in Xiao Yuhe's heart.
A dreadful premonition stretched out from the depths of Xiao Yuhe's soul, spreading through his entire body like icy water.
"You seem to have forgotten that there's something in this world called a Scene-Storing Stone."
Li Xun smiled faintly.
A milky-white stone appeared in his hand. It wasn't large—only the size of a baby's fist—but its presence alone plunged Xiao Yuhe into despair.
A Scene-Storing Stone, as the name suggested, could record the scene of everything that happened.
Thinking back on his actions just moments ago, Xiao Yuhe felt a chill crawl up his spine. If Li Xun were to release this recording, then the fact that he attacked the Golden Crow Clan, the Great Chu Dynasty, and the others… would be irrefutable.
At that point, whether those factions chose to treat Li Xun as their enemy or the Xiao Clan as their enemy… No one could say for sure.
"What a despicable tactic!"
Xiao Yuhe growled coldly.
"You intend to deal with me. Why shouldn't I prepare a few precautions of my own?"
Li Xun chuckled.
Originally, he had brought the Scene-Storing Stone only to record the interior of the Abyssal Demons' Burial.
After all, he had entered this place intending to locate the Otherworldly Demons' nest. With the stone, he could map out a safe route.
But to his surprise, something he prepared casually had turned out to be incredibly useful.
"You forget—those Sea God Palace experts were killed by the Saint King behind you. It had nothing to do with me!"
Xiao Yuhe stared at Li Xun hatefully.
"Too bad,"
Li Xun replied, shaking his head.
"No one outside will ever see that scene."
After speaking, he looked toward Huang Xi and said calmly:
"Kill him."
"Yes, Master."
Huang Xi nodded.
She extended a finger.
Boom.
Xiao Yuhe's head exploded, and his already-fragile soul was annihilated.
The Xiao Clan's Saint perished completely—gone without a trace.
With everything handled, Li Xun turned toward the four surviving Otherworldly Demons nearby. During the earlier battle, they had died who-knew-how-many times from the shockwaves alone.
Yet each time, they revived.
Of the original five demons, one had perished completely.
But the remaining four were still alive and looked almost unscathed.
It was as if their bodies being shattered repeatedly was nothing more than a mild inconvenience.
"No wonder you Otherworldly Demons are feared. This ability is truly enviable," Li Xun praised.
But the four demons shivered uncontrollably.
To their ears, his words held no admiration—only bone-deep malice.
They coveted spirit stones and the lives of the beings of this world.
But the beings of this world… coveted their Blood Essence Stones just as much.
"Li Xun, what do you want?" one of the demons asked. From his conversation earlier, they had already learned Li Xun's name.
"Nothing much," Li Xun replied casually.
"I only want to know where your cross-world passage is located."
The moment he finished, the demon growled in refusal:
"Impossible! Even if you kill us, you will never learn where our cross-world passage lies!"
