And indeed, Asher wasn't. Just because someone possessed some immobilization ability or skill didn't mean they could lock anyone down in one location. Asher had simply moved through pure physical strength, as his physical strength and speed surpassed whatever this woman's Shadow could suppress.
He clenched his fist, crushing her wrist, the sound of bone breaking tearing through the sound of the ongoing battle. As Asher moved to finish her, the woman moved, her fingers releasing their grip over the dagger as it fell downward. She caught it with her other hand, then severed off her own hand a couple of inches away from the wrist.
Blood splattered as she blurred backwards, her figure coming to a stop. She came to a stop, her blood dripping to the ground, yet she wore no expression of pain. The Shadow wrapped around Asher vanished and appeared beside her in one piece.
