I had transmigrated.
Such a concept seemed fantastic and otherworldly, and yet I was not even surprised. After all, I felt that my dreams had never been just simple dreams.
'It's real. This world is real.'
I had thought, at the time.
I awoke as Daphne Frost and had left my past life behind, except for the regret that had plagued me in my last moments.
She had become a character of the novel she wrote, or better yet, a person from her dreams.
Daphne Frost was the younger sister of the female lead, Ayza Frost. Her role in the future was relatively short.
Being younger than the main cast by a year, she was able to participate as their peer through her talent and hard work. Her whole character was all about catching up with Ayza.
Similar profession, same battle style preference, same love interest, but different talents.
And now Daphne was possessed by me, the Author, the one that had dreamed the most about this world, the released and the unreleased.
I had transmigrated right at the day she was supposed to awaken, and it had been a year ever since.

I had been working hard ever since. With my knowledge of the future, I had the potential of changing the future as well as setting up a perfect life for myself.
But could I really move on? From him, that is?
I could. I had to.
With the dangers that were about to befall the world and my new life, it was not a good prospect to cling to my past life's regrets.
I would never feel the same about someone like I had with him, but I cannot hold myself back because of my feelings.
I have started drafting some plans to deal with the biggest obstacles the main cast dealt with.
And now, the time for the first move was starting to arrive.
Most of the main cast was made up of characters of high standing.
Ayza Frost.
Alice Embers.
Arthur Pendragon.
Leonel Morgana.
And Alicia Real.
These five names were the biggest characters and the names that would occupy the biggest positions in the future thanks to their leading roles against the Demon's Descent.
Besides these characters, there were others that were close to the political side of this world.
Marcus Blade is the heir of the Blade family and my novel's Potential Man.
Elliot Thunderstruck.
Emilia Morgana.
Hector Stone.
And others.
My plan consisted of making a meaningful connection to all these people. Meaningful enough to influence their paths, to change them into better versions of themselves.
Naturally, I'm not naive enough to think that I can just waltz into their lives and change them against their will, nor was I planning to. For now, forming a connection with them was the goal, from there, I could deal with their issues one by one so that they could grow.
How would I do that?
It was all thanks to a bet I made with my new mother, the head of the Frost Family. The bet was simple: if I could rank up to G+ rank until the end of the year, she would grant one of my requests.
I was pretty confident in doing it and was able to bait her into it, thanks to the fact that I was a small child, and with that request I would host a great ball for my new birthday, right at the start of the year.
In this great ball, every big family would have to attend, allowing me to interact with each of the members of the main cast.
The only thing that remained to do was actually ranking up.
There were two methods to ranking up to a minor rank like G+.
First, reach F- or F in all stats, Charisma not included.
Second, force my limits to expand and my body to adapt.
The first was the harder but safer path, while the second was the riskier but easier path.
So I decided to mash them up together. Firstly, I would reach G+ in all stats, minimizing the risks of forcefully ranking up. For Magic, I was actually planning to reach F Rank, as well.
Then I would request some magical herbs to create a healing bath that would repair any damage to my body that I wasn't able to prevent. Gathering these herbs was no problem, such a request was not going through my new mother's eyes. I could just ask a servant, and in order to not anger me, they would definitely find a way.
Only then would I attempt to rank up through the second method.
But, first things first, I have to deal with the most troublesome stat yet, Strength.
I have never enjoyed working out, and the sensation of actively sweating always threw me off. Not only that, if I was going to work out, my new sister was bound to join in.
Thinking back, Marcus always enjoyed working out.
Before I could think more, I slapped both of my cheeks, leaving them slightly reddened.
I started walking towards a specific room that had been crafted by the Morgana family. It was full of runic arrangements, littering the room from ground to ceiling, their faintly pulsing light illuminating the room.
It was a magecraft-enhanced room.
What was Magecraft?
Well, it was a workaround the limits of professions that allowed a person to use abilities outside their profession's reach. The Morgana family was full of people whose profession was directly related to magecraft.
With it they created mages that could use magecraft to become versatile fighters that could hardly be defeated, except for brute force, of course. That was how versatile they were.
Most of the main cast in the future would come to learn it due to its uses, and the majority of them were taught by Leonel Morgana, the young heir of the Morgana Family.
I entered the empty room and sent a wave of mana through the ground and the walls, activating the rune array.
Slowly, at a gradual pace, I felt my own weight increase several times.
1.2 times heavier.
1.3 times heavier.
1.5 times heavier.
2 times heavier.
2.5 times heavier.
3 times heavier.
I stopped the flow of mana and moved my body at slight intervals and with minimum force, careful to not make any sudden movements.
As I finally got comfortable in my new weight, I started training.
Most of the workout was a mixture of Marcus' workout and the demented obligatory workout required of a member of the Frost Family.
And so it was a mixture of the workout made for fun and created for mundane humans and a workout meant to force the members of the family to strengthen their bodies as to not fall behind and created for awakened humans whose strength, even at G- Rank was several times stronger than a mundane human of the same age.
This mixture was great for independent training like this. It wasn't overly incapacitating, but it was not relaxed enough to not produce results.
I have been going through this training routine, besides the one forced upon me by the family, for about a month, and results have already been shown.
They weren't overly noticeable, but if one looked carefully, the results were there. If my estimate is right, I should be able to reach G Rank in Strength by the next week. And considering the increase in the effect of this room, I would take about one to two other months to reach G+ Rank.
Since my current progress was going according to plan, I was pretty confident in achieving my goal.
Working out like this also delivered great progress to my other stats, mainly, Stamina and Vitality, from training day in and day out as well as enduring the increasing weight of my own body.
As I continued my workout, at some point the door suddenly opened.
From there a white-haired head peeked in.
'Ayza.'
My older sister and the female lead of the novel I once wrote.
Sighing slightly, I smiled and turned towards her.
"Is there something wrong, Big Sis?"
'I can't believe I got used to calling her Big Sis.'
"..."
She was silent for a moment and then entered the room. Feeling the effect of the magecraft, she moved her body for a moment.
"3 times heavier. You have improved a lot, Daphne."
With those words being said, she suddenly also started training alongside me.
According to my visions and what I wrote in the novel, Ayza was a very cold person until she met the protagonist, that is.

Author's Note: POV change! We finally take a look on what happened to the MC's girlfriend after the prologue. She is now Daphne Frost the original novel's losing heroine.
