The second the local Outer God pressure finished withdrawing from the rise, Lucian turned his focus out and along the trail.
Infinity, once opened, did not take kindly to half-measures. He could feel the remaining manifestations and deeper anchors spread through the wider field like knots in a net, every one still tied to the force that had tried to grind Team Zero into the stone. Cael's hologram flickered at the edge of his vision.
"Lucian-"
"I know."
He moved.
There was no dramatic flight path for the others to follow, no charge across the sky. Lucian simply crossed distance as a solved problem. The first Outer God node he reached tried to expand into a defensive continuum. He erased it. Absolute denial, infinite force, no struggle long enough to become a fight. The second and third went the same way, incomplete forms collapsing into nothing under a power that had stopped seeing them as valid opposition.
