"Ohh! That was so impressive, dear Damien!" Aphrodite clapped as she watched the shadows handle the war.
Damien ignored her and turned to Loki. "See? Now they will know. Next time, crossing us means death, not a light tap on the palm. Orario is the strongest city in the world. They should know that."
Loki crossed her arms. "Well, I suppose you are right. But did you not go too far? You apprehended a god."
"And you said gods know only one language...that of violence." Damien's voice was calm. "I showed them violence and leniency. I could have killed him, but I did not. I respected the rules of Ouranos without letting our city look weak."
Loki studied him for a moment, then nodded approvingly. "Mhmm... you really are getting the hang of this. I like it." She grabbed his arm. "Now, come! Let us continue back to the party!"
She pulled him toward the gathering. Freya stood apart, watching but not joining.
Loki handed Damien a drink. "Here, drink this."
Damien took it and shrugged the entire thing. "Mm. Actually tastes good."
Loki's eyes widened. "Wow... you really drank it all? That is crazy. Mortals usually pass out when they drink Ambrosia, especially an amount like this."
Damien's expression flattened. "You knew that, and you asked me to drink it anyway?"
"Obviously!" Loki grinned. "You said you liked my mischievous side, so bear with it!"
"Unbelievable."
He turned to look at the crowd. Most of the women had stopped their activities....no more kissing, hugging, or touching. Each one held her drink and watched him with sideways glances.
"Sheesh." Damien shook his head. "Look at them. I am not going to kill them."
"Yes, but you just showed a bunch of horny goddesses that you do not care about the status of a god." Loki leaned closer, whispering. "Some will get horny seeing that." She winked. "Like me!"
Her expression grew more serious.
"But some will be afraid. Thinking of you as too dangerous. Too powerful. In need of control." She paused. "Those are the bad ones. Gods who cannot handle seeing someone rise above their rules, their control. That is why I am pushing you to control and dominate them all. If a peaceful way was possible, I would be the first to recommend it. But gods hold too much pride. Too much..." She searched for the word. "How do I say it accurately? Too many assholes."
Freya approached them, drink in hand. "She is right, you know. You need to make a statement. A strong one. In front of them all. One that would make them know that in this city, not a god is at the top, but a mortal."
Loki gestured at her. "Those assholes I talked about... she is one of them."
Damien looked at Freya. "I disagree. I think Freya here is eager to be one of the good ones. Is that not right?"
"I am not going to say it, you know," Freya replied.
"Yeah, you will. You said it when we were alone."
"I have my pride to uphold."
"Your pride or me?"
Freya was silent for a moment. She narrowed her eyes, then turned to Loki.
"I have taken Damien here as my master."
Loki's jaw dropped. "What the fuck..." She spun to Damien. "Did you find a way to hypnotize her? Or... wait, was it blackmail? Did you figure out something she cares about? Oh! Did you threaten to kill her? That is a good one!"
"None of that." Damien smiled. "Just offered her a nice deal. Is that not right, darling?"
Freya lifted her chin. "I have taken Damien as my master willingly. I have liked him since day one....when you tried to steal him from me!"
Loki snorted. "Oh! You mean when you TRIED to beat him into submission with your Level Three child!"
"I admit the method was too much. But Master here understands." Freya's voice softened. "He knows that I am now... one of his."
Loki stared at them both. "I thought I would never live to see the day. Incredible. Truly."
Damien placed his hands on his hips. "Hestia. Freya. You, Loki. I plan on inviting Hephaestus too. I know many other gods who will be eager to join. As soon as we do that, we are talking about the greatest alliance in the history of Orario. Other gods will soon be begging to join.....or boycotting it, which will be fun but useless."
Loki raised an eyebrow. "You really think so? Do you not think the Guild will be threatened by this?"
"Not really. I do not." Damien shook his head. "The Guild is Ouranos. And Ouranos and I see eye to eye. We both want to destroy this dungeon and see it to its end. Ouranos has made it clear himself....he has always wanted you and Loki to unite anyway. I do not think he gives a shit about the politics around Orario. All he cares about is that dungeon."
He looked between them.
"And I know you two must know something about it. Something you are keeping from me. Which I understand." He paused. "But I do not think destroying the dungeon is a bad idea... no?"
Loki grinned. "It is always a good idea to fuck that dungeon over."
Freya nodded. "The dungeon is the enemy."
"Good." Damien crossed his arms. "So how do we do it? Ease people into it? Or force it?"
Loki's eyes lit up. "I actually have a brilliant idea."
Freya sighed. "Oh, gods."
"What?"
"Denatus is close." Loki's voice was eager. "We can announce it then. We also announce your new level and nickname." She grinned. "I have a good one for you."
Damien raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"I already found a good name for Damien." Freya stepped forward. "I will choose it."
Loki's eyes narrowed. "Oh? What will that be?"
Freya leaned on Damien's shoulder. "He is my Odr."
Loki groaned. "Ugh... that again?"
Damien looked between them. "What does Odr mean?"
"From a mortal translation? My destined one." Freya's voice was soft. "One who will stand by my side forever. No fake love. No allure. No magic. He loves me for me."
Damien considered this. "I like that. But I am not having the entire city call me 'Destined One.' You keep that name exclusive to you. Call me Odr if you like."
Freya's face lit up. "Oh! How sweet!" She shot Loki a smug look. "See? You do not have a special name with Damien as I do."
Loki snorted. "Huh. Sure I do. He is my B.D.D."
Damien blinked. "Your what?"
"My Big Dick Damien."
Damien smacked her in the head instantly. "I see why you get beaten up by Ais!"
"Aww! You do not like my B.D.D?" Loki rubbed her head. "I will find a better one!"
"Don't." Damien turned toward the door. "Now let us get the fuck out of here. I do not like their eyes."
The goddesses around the room were still watching. Still staring. Still waiting.
Freya grinned. "Why should we? I own Aphrodite. You own me. So you own this place." She stepped closer. "If anything, let us start with them. All the goddesses here are not strong. Most of them are sex and beauty goddesses. Let us control them first."
Damien looked at her. "And how do you suggest we do that?"
Freya's smile widened. "Let us put on a show. A good one. Make them watch as you dominate me....the ultimate goddess of love, sex, and beauty. And soon, they will know who to follow at the next Denatus."
"Sorry, but I am not into exhibitionism."
Loki grabbed his arm. "No, that is not a bad idea. Especially if you are fucking two of the strongest goddesses in Orario."
Freya placed her hand on his chest. "Odr, darling, you are planning on becoming the King of Gods. Doing that means you have to show all the gods that you do not care about them as if they are nothing but your playthings. This will cement that idea in their minds and spread some nice rumors around. That Damien Ardent is not just a normal mortal."
Loki joined in, pressing against his other side. "It is what I told you before. Show them who you are."
Damien looked at both of them. He sighed.
"I feel like I have two nymphos trying to eat me."
He looked around the room. At the goddesses watching. At the opportunity before him.
"But why am I intrigued?"
He grinned.
Loki's eyes sparkled. "Because deep down... you want to taste the two strongest goddesses."
Freya leaned closer. "I will even have Aphrodite join in if you desire it so, my Odr."
Damien ran a hand through his hair.
"Ugh... fine."
