Doey and Katelynn stood inside a room near the pod-like elevators. Katelynn paced around the room before looking at the pod-like elevators, concerned. "Please come back to us... Big Brother... Big Sister..." she said, lowly.
Doey looked at Katelynn before approaching her and placing his hand on her shoulder, which made her look at him. "They'll be fine, Katie... both of them are really smart," he said. "They know how to handle themselves..."
Katelynn remained silent before looking down; the duo heard something open, which made them look forward. Soon after, the duo saw Michelle and Kevin step out of the pod-like elevator, which made Katelynn smile and sprint toward them. "You're back!" she shouted.
As Doey approached the trio, Katelynn hugged the couple while her tail was wagging. "I'm so glad both of you are alright," she said.
Kevin chuckled a bit and petted Katelynn's head. "Of course, we're alright," he said.
After Katelynn let go of the couple, Kevin lifted Michelle and placed her on his left shoulder while smiling. "When you've got two badasses like us working together, we get things done," he continued as he flexed his right arm.
Michelle giggled. "Very true..." she said before leaning toward Kevin and kissing his head.
After Kevin lifted Michelle off his shoulder and placed her on the ground, she looked at Katelynn and Doey. "Now then, let's go find the Doctor," she continued.
The duo nodded as the group left the room; as they turned left, Doey looked at the couple. "While you two were taking care of Cat-Bee, Katie and I managed to find other parts for the generator," he said.
Michelle hummed. "That's good..." she said before looking at Doey. "I just hope the others are managing without you and Kevin at Safe Haven."
Doey smiled as the group turned right. "Don't worry, Safe Haven is in good hands," he said. "I left DogDay in charge in case things get out of hand."
Soon after, the group entered a room with blue pipes filled with liquid nitrogen and a gray door. Katelynn looked around the room before crossing her arms, uncomfortable. "I don't like this room..." she said, lowly.
Doey approached the door. "Don't worry, we'll be in and out of this room quick," he said.
As Michelle followed the pipes, she spotted a large hole in a pipe near the door. When Doey was close to the door, Michelle noticed the liquid nitrogen started moving toward the pipe with the hole, which made her eyes widen and look at him. "Get away from the door; it's a liquid nitrogen trap!" she shouted.
Doey looked at the hole, shocked, as the liquid nitrogen got close to the hole before Matthew quickly split from Jack and grabbed his arm, which shocked him. Matthew turned to Kevin. "Kevin, catch!" he shouted before throwing Jack toward him.
As Kevin caught Jack, the liquid nitrogen shot out of the hole toward Matthew, which made him yell before he froze. The group looked at Matthew with widened eyes. "Matthew!!" they shouted.
Dark teal dough tears pricked Jack's eyes as he struggled to get out of Kevin's arms. "No, Matthew!" he shouted.
Kevin tightened his grip around Jack. "Don't be an idiot; if you touch him, you'll freeze too," he said.
Michelle looked up and saw a yellow turn handle before aiming at it and pulling the left trigger. The blue hand shot forward and grabbed the turn handle before turning it, which stopped the liquid nitrogen.
Soon after, Matthew thawed out before collapsing to his knees and wrapping his arms around himself, shivering. "Damn it, it hurts..." he said, lowly.
Jack got out of Kevin's hold before sprinting toward Matthew, which made the others follow him. "Matthew!" he shouted.
As Jack held his hand out to Matthew, he looked at him. "Don't touch me..." he said, which made him stop. "I don't want you to get cold either..."
Kevin growled, and his body bubbled a bit. "That fucker..." he said. "He makes it impossible for us to get around here... traps like this are everywhere!"
Dark teal dough tears fell from Jack's eyes. "It's the cold that hurts us..." he said, lowly, before wrapping his arms around himself and trembling. "He already knows that..."
Matthew looked at the duo. "H-Hey, it's OK, you two..." he said, lowly. "It'll all be OK..."
Michelle stared at the trio before approaching Matthew and pulling on her jacket sleeves, which covered her hands. When Michelle was close to Matthew, she placed her covered hands on his arm before rubbing them, which surprised him.
Matthew looked at Michelle as she rubbed his shoulder with her covered hands. "This might not be much, but I hope it helps," she said.
Matthew stared at Michelle before chuckling a bit and looking at Kevin. "You found a great woman to be with," he said.
Kevin blushed, and his body stopped bubbling, before looking away and crossing his arms. "Even though you're right, you don't have to say it out loud..." he said, lowly.
After Michelle pulled her hands from Matthew, she looked at the group as her hands came out of her sleeves. "As much as I hate to say it, you guys should head back to Safe Haven with Matthew," she said.
The group was shocked. "Are you serious?" Jack asked.
Michelle nodded before looking at Matthew as he shivered. "Medic probably has better equipment or methods to help Matthew warm up," she said.
Kevin looked at Michelle. "While that may be true, you can't be out there by yourself," he said. "At least let me come with you."
Michelle looked at Kevin. "But what happens if you reach your limit and turn into a puddle?" she asked. "Last I checked, I haven't seen a single bucket in this place, and even that probably wouldn't be enough either."
Kevin growled a bit before looking away. "Damn it... as much as I hate to admit it, you're right..." he said before looking at Michelle. "But still, I don't want what happened back then happen right now... especially if you're going out there alone."
Katelynn stared at the group before looking down. Big Sister being out there alone? she thought before realizing something and looking at her hands. Wait a minute, that's not true at all. Big Sister has me too...
Soon after, Katelynn clenched her fists before looking at the group, determined. "She won't be out here alone," she said, which made them look at her. "I'm coming with her."
The group was shocked as Kevin looked at Katelynn. "Hang on, this place is—" he was interrupted when she looked at him. "I'm well aware it's dangerous, Big Brother."
Katelynn looked at Michelle. "But I'm not like Suzy anymore; I know that I must keep Big Sister safe," she continued. "Plus..."
Katelynn's body bubbled a bit, and her fingertips turned into sharp claws. "I want payback for what that bastard did to Big Sister and me," she said.
The group flinched, which made Katelynn deadpan them. "Oh, come on; Big Brother and Big Sister always curse even back at Playcare," she continued.
Kevin stared at Katelynn before snorting and chuckling, which made Michelle look at him. "Kevin?" she asked.
Kevin approached Katelynn as she looked at him. "If you still plan on making me leave, I'll—" she stopped midsentence when he placed his hand on her head, which surprised her.
Kevin smiled and petted Katelynn's head. "Alright... you can go with Misha," he said.
Katelynn looked at Kevin. "Big Brother..." she said, lowly.
Kevin lay his forehead against Katelynn's and closed his eyes. "Just be careful," he said.
Katelynn stared at Kevin before closing her eyes and nodding. "Right," she said.
After Kevin pulled away, he approached Michelle and kneeled. "You be careful out there, too," he said.
Michelle smiled and nodded before the couple kissed. Jack stared at the couple as they separated before looking down; he glanced at Katelynn before approaching her. "Uh... Katie..." he said, lowly.
Katelynn looked at Jack. "You'll come back to us safely, right?" he asked.
Katelynn stared at Jack before smiling a bit and kneeling before him. "Of course we will; we've got people waiting for us... especially loved ones," she said before kissing his cheek, which made him blush.
After Katelynn pulled away, Jack was in a daze. "Oh wow..." he said, lowly, which made her giggle.
Kevin stared at the duo before sighing and looking down. "I didn't think it would come this early..." he said, lowly.
Michelle giggled a bit and petted Kevin's head. "There, there," she said, while Matthew looked at the group with a slightly weak chuckle.
Katelynn stood properly and looked at Michelle. "Big Sister," she said, which made her look at her. "Time to go."
Michelle nodded before looking at Kevin. "Get those two back safely, OK..." she said.
Kevin nodded as Michelle and Katelynn approached the door; she placed her hand on it and pushed it opened before they left the room. Kevin stood up and stared at the door as it closed. "Be careful..." he said, lowly.
Kevin turned his head to the dazed Jack. "C'mon, Jack; time to head back to Safe Haven," he continued.
Jack flinched a bit before shaking his head. "Right," he said before approaching Kevin.
When Jack was close to Kevin, they fused into Doey before looking at Matthew. "C'mon, Matthew; let's get you back home," he said.
As Doey helped Matthew get on his feet, he looked at him. "Hang on, you shouldn't—" he was interrupted when he looked at him. "It's fine; you're not as cold as before."
Matthew remained silent and looked down as Doey wrapped his arm around his shoulder before the duo approached the door. Get that Omni-Hand for us, Misha, he thought as he pushed it open before they left the room.
