In Safe Haven, Doey sat in the generator room, staring at the beaded bracelets in his right hand. How long has it been since she left this place? Jack asked in his head.
If I had to estimate, probably a few hours... Matthew said in Doey's head.
Doey sighed as he carefully rubbed the pink beads between his fingers. It's alright, Kevin... Misha will come back to us with Katie, I'm certain, Matthew said in his head.
Doey remained silent and looked down. "Doey!" a male voice shouted, which surprised him.
When Doey looked at the opening, he saw DogDay looking down and trying to catch his breath at the opening. Doey stood up and looked at DogDay. "What happened?" he asked.
DogDay looked at Doey. "It's Misha; she's back," he said.
Doey's eyes widened. "She also has—" DogDay was interrupted when Kevin split from him while holding the beaded bracelets before sprinting toward the opening, which made him quickly step to the side and look at him. "Kevin, wait!"
Kevin sprinted toward the infirmary hallway until he was out of sight; Doey approached DogDay. "What else happened? Is Suzy OK?" he asked.
DogDay looked at Doey. "Suzy is fine, but..." he said, lowly.
In the infirmary near the giant wormhole, a large group, including Hoppy Hopscotch, CraftyCorn, Bobby BearHug with Medic on her right shoulder, and PickyPiggy, surrounded Michelle's group. Kissy Missy approached Huggy Wuggy. "Huggy," she said.
Huggy Wuggy looked at Kissy Missy. "Kissy..." he said, lowly.
Huggy Wuggy looked at the burn marks on Kissy Missy's face and held his right arm out before hesitating. Before Huggy Wuggy pulled his hand away, Kissy Missy held it in her right hand before placing it against her right cheek, purring.
Huggy Wuggy stared at Kissy Missy before smiling and laying his head against hers, purring. Mommy Long Legs grinned at the couple. "Well, aren't you two adorable..." she said teasingly.
Huggy Wuggy flinched and glared at Mommy Long Legs, growling, which made her giggle while Kissy Missy looked away blushing.
Hoppy Hopscotch sternly looked at Michelle and pointed at Yarnaby and Pianosaurus. "Is there a particular reason why you brought those two back here?" she asked.
CraftyCorn stared at Yarnaby and Pianosaurus, trembling. "Huggy and Mommy make sense because they've been with you from the start, but those two..." she said. "One followed the Doctor while the other was a banished resident because they killed Hazel..."
Yarnaby looked at the smaller Smiling Critters on the right, which terrified them before hiding behind Hoppy Hopscotch. Pianosaurus looked at the smaller Smiling Critters on the left, which terrified them before hiding behind PickyPiggy and Bobby BearHug.
Michelle raised her hands. "I know what this looks like, but I swear these two are good now," she said.
PickyPiggy looked at Michelle. "While we all know that you're an honest person, taking your word for these two isn't gonna change their minds," she said.
Katelynn was worried while CatNap glared at PickyPiggy. "What is that supposed to mean? Angel's intentions are always for a good reason," he said.
Bobby BearHug sternly looked at CatNap. "As Picky said, the others aren't gonna take her word; it's their actions that'll work," she said.
Michelle looked at PickyPiggy. "Their actions, huh..." she said before turning to Yarnaby. "Yarnaby, sit."
Yarnaby sat on the ground, which surprised the smaller toys. "Now stand on two," Michelle continued.
Yarnaby stood on his back legs, which amazed the smaller toys. "Lay down," Michelle said.
Yarnaby lay on the ground, which made the smaller toys clap their hands; Michelle petted his head. "Good boy," she said, which made him purr.
Michelle turned to Pianosaurus and held her hand out. "Hand," she continued.
Pianosaurus looked at Michelle before placing his hand in it, which shocked the smaller toys. "Shake," she said.
The duo shook hands before Michelle pulled her hand away from Pianosaurus's hand and stepped back. "Now do a backflip," she continued.
The larger group backed away as Pianosaurus did a backflip before landing on his feet, which made the smaller toys clap their hands again. Michelle approached Pianosaurus and petted his head, which made him make hum-like noises, which made her smile.
Michelle looked at the larger Smiling Critters. "I get why you're worried about these two being here because of all the awful things they did," she said. "But I can assure you that they listen to me now. All I ask is that you give them a chance."
The larger Smiling Critters stared at Michelle before Bobby BearHug crossed her arms. "I'm still reluctant about this situation, but... we can talk to Doey and see what he thinks about it," she said.
Michelle smiled at Bobby BearHug. "Thank you," she said.
Hoppy Hopscotch looked at Katelynn and pointed at her. "By the way, who is this?" she asked.
Katelynn flinched a bit and looked down while pressing her fingers together. "Uh... well, I..." she said lowly.
When Kevin entered the infirmary, he looked down and tried to catch his breath. When Kevin looked forward, he saw the group.
Kevin approached the group and gently pushed a few of the toys out of the way. "Hey! Give her some space! She just got back from—" he stopped midsentence when he saw Katelynn standing next to Michelle, which made his eyes widen.
When Katelynn looked forward, she spotted Kevin staring at her before facing him. "Hello, Kevin..." she said, lowly, which made the larger group's eyes widen.
Kevin stared at Katelynn and slowly approached her. "Katie... is that really you?" he asked.
When Kevin stood before Katelynn, he examined her. "You look... different..." he said. "You're thinner than when I last saw you..."
Katelynn looked away and crossed her arms. "And your bright eyes and smile... it's gone..." Kevin continued. "What happened to you?"
Katelynn stepped back a bit. "I did... a lot of horrible things..." she said. "When the Doctor was trying to turn Big Sister into a toy... I lost it and became a monster..."
Michelle frowned a bit as black slime tears pricked Katelynn's eyes. "I destroyed a lot of the mechanical bodies... and nearly attacked Big Sister's group..." she continued. "I'm a horrible person..."
Kevin looked at Katelynn, shocked. "That's not true in the slightest," he said.
Katelynn trembled and gripped her arms. "I'm not the same person you once knew..." she said, lowly.
Kevin stared at Katelynn before his face became stoic. "If that's the case, can you do me a favor?" he asked.
Katelynn looked at Kevin, surprised. "Hold your hand out," he said.
Katelynn stared at Kevin before holding her right hand out. Kevin held his right hand over Katelynn's hand and opened it, which dropped the beaded bracelets into it and made her eyes widen. "Could you toss those away for me?" he asked.
As Kevin turned away from Katelynn and walked forward, she stared at the beaded bracelets in her hand.
Katelynn remembered putting red beads in the plastic lace while Kevin tied the plastic lace on the pink one together before carefully clenching them in her hand and looking down. "How dare you..." she said, lowly.
Kevin stopped walking. "You want me to get rid of them..." Katelynn continued.
Katelynn's body started bubbling. "I've made these so that you, me, and Big Sister would have matching bracelets... and you ask me to get rid of them," she said.
Katelynn menacingly glared at Kevin as she brought the beaded bracelets close to her chest. "I'd rather destroy those stupid robots again than destroy something precious to me!!" she shouted.
Kevin remained silent before turning his head to Katelynn. "That's something my sister would say," he said.
Katelynn stared at Kevin, shocked, and her body stopped bubbling. "What?" she asked.
Kevin turned to Katelynn and pointed at her. "And that's something you said... therefore, you are my sister," he said.
Katelynn stared at Kevin with black slime tears pricking her eyes as he approached her. "And I don't want to hear any more of that stuff coming out of your mouth," he continued. "Whether it was something good or downright awful, I don't care... you'll always be my little sister..."
Black slime tears fell from Katelynn's eyes before she tackled Kevin into a hug. "I missed you so much, Big Brother..." she said, lowly, as she cried.
Kevin smiled a bit with dark teal dough tears pricking his eyes before wrapping his arms around Katelynn. "I missed you too, Katie..." he said, lowly.
The smaller toys watched the siblings, cheering, while the larger toys were happy; Michelle smiled at them with tears pricking her eyes before wiping them away.
When Michelle turned her head to the left, she saw Doey approach her with Poppy riding on his shoulder. "Welcome back, Michelle," Poppy said, smiling.
Michelle smiled at the duo. "Good to be back," she said.
