Chapter 213 - Ch 213: Serafall

While I was still sorting my thoughts—planning how I would explain everything to Rias before arranging a proper meeting with Serafall—fate, as usual, decided it wouldn't wait for my convenience.

Just as I was about to leave the Sitri household and return to the Gremory estate, the atmosphere around me shifted.

It wasn't dramatic. No explosion of magic, no overwhelming pressure.

Just… presence.

A familiar, absurdly vibrant presence.

When I turned around, there she was.

Serafall Leviathan.

She stood in the middle of the corridor as if she had always been there, hands on her hips, chest proudly pushed forward, and—of course—wearing her usual magical girl outfit. Sparkles might as well have been floating around her. The contrast between her attire and the dignified elegance of the Sitri household was so extreme that it almost hurt my eyes.

The reaction from the servants was immediate.

Maids and butlers who had been escorting me froze for half a second, then bowed deeply.

"Please excuse us," one of them said quickly.

Without another word, they vanished—far too efficiently for this to be coincidence.

…So this was planned.

Leaving me alone with the most unpredictable Maou in existence.

Serafall grinned brightly. "Hi there~!"

"…Good afternoon, Serafall-sama," I said, straightening instinctively.

She waved off my formality with a laugh and skipped closer, leaning forward slightly, her eyes gleaming with unmistakable curiosity.

"So~ Issei-kun," she said in a singsong voice, "did So-chan tell you that she loves you?"

The question hit me head-on.

Direct. No warning. No room to dodge.

I paused for half a second—then nodded.

"Yes."

It wasn't a lie. Maybe she hadn't said the words outright, but actions mattered more than phrasing. Being willing to bind her future to me, to stand against expectations and tradition—that wasn't something done lightly. Especially not by someone like Sona.

Serafall's eyes widened.

Then—

She puffed out her chest proudly.

"Hah! I knew it!" she declared. "Of course she does!"

She clasped her hands together, practically vibrating with excitement.

"I was the one who gave her that courage, you know?" she continued, grinning smugly. "After all~ big sisters exist to push their little sisters forward when they're being too serious!"

I blinked. "…You did?"

"Yep!" She nodded enthusiastically. "I heard you two talked back at the hospital after Rias-chan won against So-chan. And when I heard that, I thought—ah! This is it!"

She leaned closer, lowering her voice conspiratorially.

"You see, Issei-kun, So-chan is kind of like you."

"…Like me?"

I know that, but still, do girls really fall for something this easily without doing anything? Like for Rias, I helped her with Riser and stuff. For Akeno, I helped her with her past trauma. For Asia, I saved her from a fallen angel. In that logic, I have done nothing noteworthy for Sona to like me.

"Mhm!" She tapped her cheek thoughtfully. "Serious, stubborn, carrying big dreams, and always trying to shoulder everything by herself. And when someone like that develops a crush…" She smiled knowingly. "They don't realize it until it's already too deep."

Not going to lie, I am happy to hear that.

"So," Serafall continued, straightening again, "I just helped turn that crush into love. A little push here, a little encouragement there~"

She crossed her arms, chin lifted high.

"Aren't I the greatest future sister-in-law ever?"

…She looked genuinely smug saying that.

I didn't know whether to laugh, be nervous, or brace myself for whatever came next.

"…You're very involved," I said carefully.

"Of course I am!" she replied instantly. "So-chan is precious to me. And if she decided on you…" Her eyes sharpened for just a moment—still playful, but unmistakably serious beneath the sparkle. "Then I need to see what kind of man you are."

The pressure wasn't oppressive, but it was real.

I met her gaze without flinching. "I understand."

Serafall studied me for a long moment.

Then—just like that—the seriousness vanished.

"Alright!" she clapped her hands. "For now, you pass!"

I almost stumbled.

"For now?"

She winked. "This isn't over, Issei-kun. But don't worry—if you keep being honest, things will work out. And there's something I want you to do before I fully accept you."

She turned on her heel, cape fluttering dramatically. And took something in her hand and extended her hand towards it.

"Consider this as the bride."

Oh, is it some kind of artifact or something powerful?

Serafall put what was in her fist in my hand.

It was soft. Feels like cloth.

I just looked at what she placed in hand and became silent.

"What is this?" I said clearly in disbelief.

I thought it was some kind artifact instead It was—

"Oh, it's So-chan's panties. You snuff it, if you want. It smells like her. If you want, I also have printed panties she wears. I thought you liked the bold one." She said it with a smile.

I just stood there with my jaw open. I didn't even know what kind of reply I needed to give to this kind of pervert. Should I just say thank you? Or should I just throw it in her face? Oh, bad idea. She might nuke me.

I didn't know if she considered my silence as joy because,

"Oh, do you want mine also?" she said, putting a pink panty on my hand, and it had a slight warmth to it. Did she just give me the underwear she is currently wearing?

"Oh, and one more thing," she added over her shoulder. "You should probably tell Rias-chan soon. Secrets tend to explode when you least expect them."

She is worried about that.

With that ominous but cheerful warning, Serafall skipped away, humming a magical girl tune, leaving me standing there alone, with no voice coming from my mouth. Like, what am I supposed to say or do with these two undies?
