After listening to Bob's explanation, Peter had only one thought: A teleportation beacon—how could such a good thing be left in the hands of Hydra?! It definitely belonged in the hands of the Avengers!
There might even be a complete database of Hydra's records here, which would allow the Avengers to discover all of Hydra's bases at once and wipe them out in one fell swoop.
Furthermore, as long as other locations sent coordinates to the teleportation point, combined with the Norn Stones, people could be teleported back to headquarters from anywhere. Meanwhile, the headquarters could use the Norn Stones' teleportation capabilities to send personnel to any location. Was this Hydra's teleportation system? No, it wasn't; this was the Avengers' future rapid-response mechanism!
As for the matter of the High Evolutionary, now that he knew the High Evolutionary was collaborating with Hydra, things were much easier. Given the recent events involving Nova, they had already been in contact with the Guardians of the Galaxy. All they had to do was tell the Guardians about the High Evolutionary, and they would definitely help. Rocket surely couldn't stand that bastard. Bringing the Guardians in to fight the High Evolutionary would be equivalent to cutting off one of Hydra's heads, making the enemy weaker and weaker.
Peter's eyes gleamed with excitement at these thoughts. He couldn't help but look at Bob and ask, "We plan to enter that Hydra base in the mountain. We need you to take us in."
"Take you in?!"
Bob was struck with terror upon hearing this. "Th-that's impossible! If I take you in, I'm a dead man for sure! Unlike you guys, you're superheroes—"
"Cough, cough, let me interrupt for a second."
Deadpool squatted down, looking at Bob who was sitting on the ground. He took out a small knife and began twiddling it in front of Bob. "You need to understand something. They are superheroes, but I'm not. I'm just a mercenary. Believe me, if you don't agree, you'll be dead very soon."
Bob looked nervously at Peter, while Kitty whispered, "We won't actually let Deadpool kill him, right?"
"Of course not, but we still need to infiltrate the Hydra base. It's fine to let Deadpool scare him a bit. Besides, we can't protect him every second; there's no way to predict when Deadpool might strike. After all, he's Deadpool."
Hearing this, Bob actually wet himself in fear. Fortunately, the Hydra combat suit had an internal circulation system that would quickly filter and convert it into drinking water, so it wouldn't be exposed. He immediately began nodding his head frantically like a chicken pecking at grain. "Okay, okay, I get it! I'll just take you in!"
Peter then looked at the primitive tribespeople. After years of interaction with Hydra, these primitives already understood that firearms were "divine weapons." However, just as they completely failed to comprehend the existence of the severed head, they also couldn't understand this wall-crawling Spider-Man, and began to bow down and worship Peter.
Looking at this group of primitives, Peter scratched his head. But he soon had no time to worry about them because he heard the sounds of battle and Ka-Zar's war cry. Realizing what was happening, he sprang up and began swinging through the dense jungle on his webbing, rushing toward the battlefield. Deadpool looked back and forth between Bob, Peter, and finally Kitty. "Alright, kiddo, keep a close eye on him. This is a major contribution!"
Kitty blinked, then looked at Bob. Bob sat on the ground looking quite innocent. He wanted to do something, but the problem was that his legs were a bit weak.
So, who—or rather, what—was Ka-Zar fighting at this moment?
The answer was a zombie Tyrannosaurus Rex over three meters tall, and a mumble-mouthed severed head (the second generation) latched onto the T-Rex's neck.
"Dat's it, bite 'im! Bite 'im hard!"
The head biting the zombie T-Rex's neck was directing it to ambush Ka-Zar. However, as the foremost warrior of the primitive jungle, Ka-Zar dodged nimbly through the dense forest; there was no chance of him being hit.
It wasn't until a laser beam struck the zombie T-Rex squarely in the body, punching a large hole through its abdomen and causing it to collapse, that Ka-Zar finally got a chance to rest. Then, Peter snagged the zombie T-Rex's head with a web line and yanked it off with a forceful pull, bringing the battle to a close.
He looked quite perplexed as he used a web to snag the severed head and toss it onto a nearby tree, then looked at Ka-Zar. "What's going on? How did he come back to life?"
"I was following your instructions and burning these cursed corpses, but then there was a flash of white light, and a complete cursed person appeared. He tried to lunged at me, but a T-Rex smashed his body to pieces. Then his head landed on the T-Rex and bit it hard—and then it ended up like this."
Peter looked at the severed head in disbelief. "And what's your story?"
"Hey! Spider-Man over there, let me have a bite."
Peter realized something, so he repeated the same threat he had made to the previous head. Subsequently, this second head recounted a story that was exactly the same: he came from the shattered Earth-2149. Except for the thing that smashed his body being different, every detail was identical.
Peter couldn't help but frown. At that moment, the sprinting Deadpool finally arrived. "My god, why can't I swing on webs or fly? This makes me feel like Batman."
"First, you're not as rich as Batman. Second, you're not as handsome as Batman. Third, your gear isn't as cool as Batman's."
"My god, Spidey, you're really breaking my heart—"
Deadpool struck a heartbroken pose, kneeling on both knees as if he were about to perform a scene of utter despair. However, as soon as he knelt, he saw the severed head hanging in the tree. He shuffled on his knees until he was directly under the head and asked in total bewilderment, "What is going on here?"
"—I'm not entirely sure. I need you to do me a favor, Wade."
Upon hearing this, Deadpool somehow leaped and "refreshed" behind Peter, patting his chest reassuringly. "Don't worry, brother, just leave it to me. What do you want me to do?"
"Kill it."
"You got it!"
"Wait—" Before the severed head could say anything, the second generation was shot dead by Deadpool. Deadpool then blew the smoke from the barrel of his gun. "Anything else?"
"Dispose of the zombie remains, and wait a moment."
Wait for what?
Wait for the next severed head to arrive.
Sure enough, accompanied by a flash of white light, a zombie Deadpool charged out. But before he could say a word, he was smashed to bits by a passing, enraged Triceratops, leaving only a head staring at them.
Ka-Zar was stunned. "Is this... is this truly a miracle? Or a curse?"
Peter looked at the severed head and directly webbed its mouth shut. "No, it's an invitation. That white light just now was light released from the Beyond-Realm. I saw it at the moment Kang created the Cosmic Cube."
In other words, the person sending the severed heads came from the Beyond-Realm.
The identity of that person was now obvious. It was the Beyonder who had collected the fragments of Earth-2149.
And this was an invitation to the Secret Wars.
