Chapter 770 - Chapter 770: The Man From Hell, Supaidaman!

A certain TRN universe, its exact cosmic frequency yet unconfirmed, served as the stronghold for the Wasp-Queen—or at least, the Wasp-Queen of this specific universe.

The Earth of this universe had already been conquered by the Sisterhood of Wasps. It was hard to say whether it was a stroke of fortune or not, but aside from the Sisterhood of Wasps, this universe possessed no superpowered individuals or advanced technology whatsoever. On one hand, this allowed them to run rampant and conquer the entire world; on the other hand, it severely restricted the development of the Sisterhood of Wasps.

Only the Wasps born from a Spider Totem possessed sufficiently formidable power, yet this universe had no way of giving birth to a Spider Totem on its own. Precisely because of this, by leveraging the power of Shathra, the Wasp-Queen began a wide-scale sensory search for forces across other universes capable of creating Spider Totems. This was the root cause behind everything that had occurred previously.

As for how the Sorcerers Supreme of the various universes had died, it could only be said that most of them were completely unaware of the Wasp-Queen's terrifying infection capabilities. Many universes' Stranges, or rather other Sorcerers Supreme, were killed upon their very first encounter. The magical spiders they kept subsequently became the Wasp-Queen's spoils of war, brought back to the Earth of this universe to first bestow various Spider Totem powers upon the locals before rapidly converting them.

Furthermore, thanks to the presence of Shathra's temple here, the conversions they completed within this realm could evade the detection of the Web of Destiny.

But things were different now.

"This is bad! Great Mother!"

A Wasp grunt ran in a panic before the Wasp-Queen, who had just returned to Shathra's temple. At this very moment, she still harbored lingering fears regarding the Ogre universe. Even though she had fled rapidly, a vast number of her children had been eaten completely clean by that group of damn ogres, which had truly delivered quite a multiverse-tier shock to the Wasp-Queen.

Now, facing her child who had run over, she did her best to calm her mind. "What happened, my child? Please do not be so agitated. The great Shathra has bestowed a unique soul upon each and every one of us, do not worry."

"A colossal robot descended from the sky and is smashing its way down!"

A question mark slowly materialized over the Wasp-Queen's forehead. Then, a massive force pierced through the earth, instantly tearing the entire ground apart.

"The combat capability of your Sword Vigor is a bit too outrageous."

Standing beside Takuya Yamashiro, Peter couldn't help but marvel. "Then why don't you just summon Leopardon directly when you fight and hack the enemy to death on the spot?"

"Doing that would be far too boring. It would make me look like a mere launcher for the Sword Vigor, completely failing to showcase the fact that I am actually Spider-Man," Takuya Yamashiro spoke with his arms crossed, pointing toward the ground. "Just like right now."

Down on the ground, the Wasp grunts were scattering and fleeing for their lives. Estimating the enemy numbers, Miguel sighed with feeling. "As expected, we overestimated the enemy's combat strength before. Their act of killing a large number of Sorcerers Supreme misled us. You were right, Spider-Man, the enemy's comprehensive strength isn't that formidable. On the contrary, they are still in their developmental phase; neither the quantity nor the quality of the enemies is worth mentioning."

In his heart, Miguel silently appended another line: In front of Leopardon, that is.

He had no idea where the Peter Parker of Earth-616 had managed to dig up such a powerhouse of a teammate, who had practically finished the job the moment he charged out. After completing its descent, Leopardon drew its Sword Vigor and began looking around. Meanwhile, Cindy, who had been standing to the side, clutched her head and collapsed to the ground. Peter hurriedly supported her.

"I'm fine... I felt many Spider-Men, no, many Spider Totems dying."

Peter let out a sigh. This was precisely the reason why he had been reluctant to bring Cindy along in the first place. The opposing faction specifically targeted the magical side of the Spider Totems, so for Cindy, who represented the Bride totem of the magical side, the collateral damage was likely the most severe.

"Though saying this might be a bit of a buzzkill, with her around, we can monitor the enemy's movements," Miguel said as he signaled Takuya Yamashiro to open the hatch. "Alright, let's move out. She will be very safe here."

Takuya Yamashiro waited for them all to leave, and only closed the hatch after a short while. "Strange, why wasn't the door closed?"

The two Spider-Men leaped through the air, pouncing toward that incredibly ancient temple. For some reason, the temple, which bore a strong ancient Egyptian architectural style, was constructed entirely from dark blue stone bricks that verged on black. The entire temple had now been carved with a massive opening by Leopardon. Next, accompanied by a powerful magical halo, countless Wasps converged together, transforming into a giant-sized Wasp monster.

The monster charged directly toward Leopardon, who was roughly of similar proportions.

"I often dream of scenes similar to this," Peter couldn't help but complain as he glided. "A giant robot fighting a monster, except the monster usually doesn't look quite so much like a Kamen Rider."

"Come to the year 2099. As long as you can afford it, the corporations can customize a robot belonging to you, along with an exclusive large monster that guarantees you win the fight," Miguel said as he landed on the ground. "That monster might just be some young fellow who was born without a job, parents, or a way to go to school, unwanted by any corporation, who turned himself into that thing for a sum of money. It's best if he doesn't have a girlfriend either, because once you beat him to death, there's no need to pay him the money anymore."

"..."

Peter could guess why Miguel, living in a cyberpunk universe, was always so cynical, but managing to be cynical to this extent was truly quite rare. "I suspect you spread this kind of propaganda in the headquarters every day, calling upon everyone to go and smash the year 2099 to pieces. Has anyone responded?"

"No, none, because I worry about the occurrence of a Web event. At least thirty percent of the people in that wretched place deserve to die, but at least another thirty percent do not. They know nothing at all, and I'm just complaining. Alright, looks like our enemies are here."

An infuriated Wasp-Queen led a horde of grunts before the two Spider-Men, unleashing her roar. "How dare you desecrate the sacred ground of Lord Shathra?! How did you wretched Spider Totems manage to find this place?! This area should have been shielded from magical prophecies and perception!"

"This is the downside of not studying. She doesn't even know she has a tracker inside her body," Peter muttered, then looked over at Miguel. "Watch out for the stingers on her lower body. I have the symbiote for protection, but you don't. If you get pricked, it's over."

"Rest assured, Spider-Man. I have no interest... in such a voluptuous lady."
