Spector Unit 6, the ten drones and the six Micro-fighters all targeted the engines at the rear of each of the heavy bombers before Adam and Aphrodite opened fire.
The combined energy bolts of multiple weapons firing at the engines of each heavy bomber quickly tore through the shields protecting them before they started impacting the engines themselves, quickly destroying them.
[Prestigious3horns (Vinox 2): They just ripped through the shields like they didn't even exist.]
As the engines began to explode, the force of the explosions caused the one which Spector Unit 6 had been attacking to enter an uncontrolled dive.
Meanwhile, the explosions from the two that had been attacked by the Micro-fighters and drones caused them to start heading towards one another.
[HackerSu (Trillion): Oh shit, are they going to collide?]
[Lizziethetruepower (Palaxia): There's no way. They should still have manoeuvring thrusters that allow them to slow their momentum and manoeuvre away from the other ship.]
As the chat was discussing the situation, they suddenly saw secondary explosions begin to take effect on each of the heavy bombers.
The explosions started near the now destroyed engines and began moving towards the front of each ship. Coincidentally, the explosions appeared to take place at the locations where the ship's manoeuvring thrusters were placed.
[Whitehorn (Darah 5): Oh shit, are those the manoeuvring thrusters exploding?]
[OfficialMuriel (Aqua Primus): How's that even possible?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): If the main engines and manoeuvring thrusters happened to be interconnected, an explosion in one could lead to explosions in the other if they're not cut off in time.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): What idiots would build a ship in that manner?]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The idiots who built those heavy bombers apparently.]
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Errr, the two heavy bombers aren't slowing down and are closing in on each other.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Oh, heck yeah, they're totally going to hit.]
[Lizziethetruepower (Palaxia): I can't believe this is actually going to happen.]
"Oh dear, how unfortunate," Aphrodite remarked in amusement as she watched the two heavy bombers closing in on one another.
"I'm going on ahead to support the Imperial Down; you head back to Spector and support Stacey and Rowena," Adam stated.
"Copy that," Aphrodite replied as she had the Micro-fighters perform a U-turn before heading back towards the Spector.
Adam had the drones return to Spector Unit 6 and reattach to it as he piloted it away from the heavy bombers towards the Imperial Down.
As he did so, the two heavy bombers that had been approaching each other finally impacted one another, causing even more explosions to start happening across the two heavy bombers.
As the explosions ran across the two heavy bombers, they began to impact the shields of the cruiser-class ship that they were beneath, causing them to shimmer.
Eventually, the two heavy bombers reached their limit as they both exploded, causing an even greater explosion to impact the lower shields of the cruiser-class ship, which barely managed to stay active.
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Damn it. I was hoping the explosion would cause the shields to collapse and then damage the ship.]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): So close, they barely managed to resist it.]
[SciFifanboy (Earth): The way the two ships collided was so Scifi.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): That was epic.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): Can't say I've ever seen that before.]

"What the fuck just happened?" The captain of the cruiser-class asked as the ship suddenly shook.
"Two of the heavy bombers that were using us to mask themselves have just collided and been destroyed. What we felt was the explosions hitting the shields, sir."
"How the fuck did that happen?" The captain cursed before asking, "What about the third heavy bomber?"
"The third has been disabled. It seems the mech and those unmanned fighters managed to defeat the mechs the lead ship sent out before attacking the heavy bombers."
"How's that even possible? We're talking about unmanned fighters here," The captain replied before asking. "Where are they now?"
"The mech is proceeding towards the Imperial Down while the unmanned fighters appear to be returning to their mother ship."
"Target that damn bug and shoot it down."
"We can't, sir; all available power is being diverted to charging the main cannon."
"Damn it," The captain cursed again before ordering. "Dispatch two mech groups to hunt down that lone mech. We will leave the unmanned fighters for the ships behind us to deal with."
"Sir."
"How long before we can fire again?"
"Less than one minute, sir."

[Multiple mechs launching from the cruiser-class that you just passed.] Spector announced just before energy beams started flying past Spector Unit 6.
Adam had Spector Unit 6 rotate in the air and start flying backwards while returning fire and absorbing any attacks that would hit him.
[[NDS Level: 13%]]
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Look at him go. It's crazy how he's flying as quickly backwards as forwards.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): The advantages of an antigravity drive in space. It allows ships and mechs to manoeuvre in any direction at the same speed since there is no need for thrusters and no drag resistance.]
"The fuck? That things equipped with an antigravity drive?"
"That's so unfair, why can't I have a mech fitted with an antigravity drive?"
"Do well in this battle and you might get one as a reward."
"That's great and all, but why the fuck do our attacks keep getting absorbed?" One of the mech pilots cursed.
"No fucking idea," Another cursed before asking," Why didn't the capital ship warn us about this since their mechs already faced this bastard?"
"Fuck if I know, let's just switch to missiles," Another pilot replied before firing off two missiles from the missile rack on his mech's shoulder.
"Easy for you to say, I didn't outfit my mech with missiles."
Of the eight mechs which had just been dispatched, four of them launched missiles while the others continued to try their luck with there energy based weapons.
[HackerSu (Trillion): Ohhh, they're using missiles now.]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): I guess they finally figured out that their energy weapons are useless.]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Damn it, I want him to face pirates again. At least with the pirates, we can listen into there conversations.]
"Deploy drones," Adam instructed before the drones once again detached from Spector Unit 6 and flew off to intercept the incoming missiles, where they quickly opened fire on them and destroyed them before heading towards the incoming mechs.
As the enemy mechs noticed the incoming drones, they quickly shifted their focus to the drones and began trying to shoot them down with there enegy weapons.
As the enemy mechs and drones flew around while exchanging fire, Adam took the chance to continue heading towards the Imperial Down.
"Fuck, the bastard is getting away."
"Well, go deal with it. I kinda have my hands full right now."
"I would if I could dickhead. What the fuck are these things? There even more manoeuvrable than the unmanned fighters from before."
"There, drones, dumbass. You're a mech pilot and you're telling me that you don't know about drones?"
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Ohhhh, check it out, the drones are starting to gain the advantage over the mechs.]
[Lizziethetruepower (Palaxia): Well, they do outnumber them 10 to 8…. Make that 10 to 7.]
As the chat had been talking, three of the drones had teamed up to simultaneously attack one of the enemy mechs from three separate directions. The pilot of the mech was barely able to evade the attacks of two of them, but the third managed to pierce right through the chest area of the mech, where the cockpit was located, killing the pilot instantly.
Suddenly, the stream feed switched to the perspective of the Micro-fighters, which were just about to reach the medium-class ship they had disabled earlier.
"I guess I get to finish you off after all," Aphrodite said happily as she had the micro-fighters attack as soon as they entered weapons range.
The medium ship's engines and weapons had been destroyed, meaning that it was unable to fight back and was only able to move because of it's manouvering thrusters. This made it a prime target for the six micro-fighters, which quickly tore through what little shields it had managed to recover before tearing through the medium-class ship's hull.
The medium-class ship lasted barely three seconds before the assault was too much for it to handle and it blew up.
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): It was just a sitting duck.]
[Superherofangirl (Earth): Hoooo, check out the fireworks.]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): I would love to see fireworks in space.]
The micro-fighters flew past the still exploding ships and chased after the other five medium-class ships.
"Glad you could finally join us," Rowena remarked sarcastically before turning to Stacey and asking, "Shall we join the fun now that she's back?"
"Sounds good," Stacey replied.
"Ok," Rowena said before having Spector turn towards the oncoming enemy vessels.
"Deploying repeaters," Stacey reported just before three compartments on the front of Spector opened up to reveal triple laser repeaters and two compartments on the back, which revealed the ballistic repeaters.
