"I can't believe she went and did it," Adam said with a sigh as he stared around at all the phoenixes that had been observing them and were now cheering Tephe as she hovered above the city.
"Hehe, it's your turn next," Revi whispered after giggling.
"Even if I were so inclined, do you really think your people could take another shock on this scale?" Adam asked.
"Hmm, you might be right, let's save your big reveal for another day, darling," Revi replied before adding in a playful tone, "Perhaps our wedding day."
Adam rolled his eyes before turning to look at Narven, who was still staring up at Tephe in shock and asked, "You still want to compete?"
"What are you talking about, of course he…" Kalre replied only for Denog to cut him off as he said, "Doesn't."
"What are you talking about, Denog?" Kalre asked angrily and he turned to him.
"Use your head, idiot," Denog began. "White Dragon Tephe is the same white dragon that helped save the entire Phoenix race. She is practically worshipped by them, with only the Tree of Beginning, the Black Knight and Empress Revi herself being loved and revered. You want Narven to battle her in front of their entire race? His reputation in the Ashes Galaxy will be ruined."
"Hmm, it seems at least one of your followers can use their brain, Narven," Revi remarked.
"My brother's right, you idiot," Deirlo added before glaring at Kalre and saying, "But if you are so adamant about someone fighting her, why don't you do it? After all, you don't have a reputation to ruin."

"Narven?" Kalre asked as he turned to him with a frown.
"Denog is correct. I would be foolish to battle White Dragon Tephe. I'm not looking to turn the Phoenix race against me," Narven said with a sigh.
"That's all well and good, but I promised my citizens a fight between dragons and you agreed that I could even broadcast it Galaxy-wide," Revi stated with a frown before adding, "If you back out now, we won't have a fight and I will be forced to explain to everyone that the reason is that you got cold paws."
"Cold paws?" Adam asked in confusion.
"Well, dragons do have paws," Revi replied with a wink.
"Oh, I see what you did there," Adam said with a smirk.
"Pretty good, right?" Revi asked proudly.

"Hey, what's taking so long?" Tephe suddenly asked from above as her voice came out louder and more guttural than normal since she was in her true form.
"SORRY, TEPHE, BUT WE'VE GOT A BIT OF AN ISSUE HERE AS NARVEN NO LONGER WANTS TO FIGHT YOU," Revi shouted as she looked up at Tephe, who was staring down at the group.

"Doesn't want to fight?" Tephe asked in surprise before adding in a boastful tone, "Well, I can't blame him, I am amazing after all and even have my own statue."

"You're loving this, aren't you?" Adam asked with a sigh as he saw Narven's brow twitching.
"I don't know what you mean," Revi replied innocently before turning back to Narven and asking, "So how are you going to fix this?"

Narven's brow continued to twitch while he bit the inside of his jaw until finally he sighed in defeat and turned to Kalre while ordering, "Go fight her."
"What?" Kalre asked in surprise.
"Throwing your useless subordinate under the paw, huh?" Deirlo asked with a smirk.
"Sister," Denog said with a sigh.
Narven ignored the comment and frowned at Kalre while saying, "This is partially your fault for not keeping your mouth shut earlier, now get ready to fight her."
"Aww, come on, Narven, do I have to?" Kalre complained, though everyone could see that he was glancing nervously up at Tephe every so often.
"Weren't you the one who was teaching us all how age equals power a short while ago?" Deirlo asked with a smirk.
"That was you and you know it, you stupid bitch," Kalre retorted angrily.
"Was it?" Deirlo asked in a perplexed tone before adding, "I distinctly remember you talking about it, though."
"Yes, it fucking was," Kalre raged.
[1000yearsofdeath (Earth): Even dragons squabble like children, who knew? Kekeke.]
"Enough," Narven said to silence the pair's squabbling before he continued, "If you do this and beat her, you can have your pick of any girl next time we visit Dragons Lust."
"Seriously? Any girl?" Kalre asked in excitement.
"Ugh, men," Deirlo said in disgust.
"I know, right?" Revi agreed before adding, "Only men offer the opposite sex as a reward."

"Seriously?" Adam asked while raising an eyebrow at Revi.
"Sorry, sweetie," Revi said apologetically while resting a hand on Adam's chest before adding, "I didn't mean you, you would never let another man touch us."
"Revi, stop taking advantage of my not being there to flirt with Adam," Tephe called from above the city while glaring at them.

"Well, I guess it was going to come out sooner or later," Adam said with a sigh as every single phoenix that was surrounding them turned their gaze upon him."
"I guess they want to get a good look at their future prince consort," Revi teased.
"Prince Consort?" Narven asked in surprise.
"Is your relationship that serious?" Deirlo asked as she continued to appraise Adam.
"Perhaps," Revi replied while winking before looking at Kalre in disgust and asking, "So are you going to fight or not?"
"What's with that look of disgust?" Kalre asked in a hurt tone.
"Just answer the question," Revi commanded as if she were issuing an imperial decree.
"Of course," Kalre replied before looking at the combat armour that was still to be equipped and while pointing, he asked, "Is that for me to equip?"
"What on Fenix Nest gave you that idea?" Revi asked with a frown.
"Well, she equipped one," Kalre replied while pointing up at Tephe.
Revi stared at Kalre as if she was trying to decide whether he was serious or not before turning to Deirlo and asking, "He's surely not that stupid, right?"
"I'm afraid he is," Deirlo said with a sigh.
"HEY!" Kalre complained.
"And you hang out with this idiot?" Revi asked, ignoring Kalre.
"Not normally, I just tagged along in the hope of meeting the divas," Deirlo answered.

"The combat armour is mine, not yours," Adam explained.
"What?" Kalre asked before adding, "Then where's mine?"

Revi stared at Kalre as if he were stupid for a moment before turning to Deirlo and asking, "How old is this idiot?"
"Why would I know that?" Deirlo asked in return.
"Fair point, you did say you didn't hang out with him," Revi replied before looking at Narven and Denog.
"He's eight hundred and two," Denog answered.
"You're two hundred and ninety-five years older than Tephe, so what would you need armour for?" Revi asked before adding, "By your own words, age equals power and since you're older, you should also be more powerful."
Adam wrapped his arm around Revi's shoulder while saying, "Basically, what she's saying is you're not getting any armour, so stop complaining so we can get this thing started."
The surrounding phoenixes all broke out into murmurs of discussion as they saw a beautiful smile of happiness form on their empress's face as she took Adam's hand after he wrapped his arm around Revi's shoulder.
