Tamataya was less of a city and was more of a fortress. It had high and sturdy walls and a very strict security.
But the carriage that Sakura and the others had saved, it belonged to an influential family of this city. So with that influence, Weiss and her group were able to get an entry without any serious security checks.
Even though the city looked very rigid from the outside, it was actually vibrant and lively inside. There were a lot of sweet thing which were being sold in the street shops and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
The reason why this city was so well guarded was because of a neighbouring nation. This nation in question was extremely small, consisting of only a single city. But they had a powerful army with more than 10 knights so they were considered to be quite strong.
This nation was a dukedom which had a very bad relationship with the family ruling this city. So both sides had conflicts quite often. And that was why this city was build like a fortress.
