As that happened, Elise felt as if the world had went blank. All sounds disappeared from around her and her heart almost jumped out of the chest.
Somewhere in her heart, Elise had believed that her being with her dear mistress forever was fate. There was no way this was not going to happen.
But now, it turned out that everything that she was thinking, it was nothing but her own delusion. She was no one special.
Her great mistress would become an undying and unaging being while she would turn old and useless. Then she would disappear from her life.
Her memories might remain in her mistress's mind forever or she might discard them as something useless or unnecessary in the future.
Whatever the case was, nothing new was ever going to come out of this. She would turn into a stagnant useless piece of data.
That would be her end. This was an ending that she wanted to avoid no matter what. But it looked like she would not be able to avoid it.
