Chapter 363: Chaotic Bloodshed, The Heart of Thunder Appears!

Under the force of the counterattack, Mu Lingshan's delicate expression changed slightly. Her petite figure was sent flying backward before landing unsteadily against a giant tree in the distance.

"So powerful!"

Lin Dong's eyes turned grim at the sight.

"Don't act rashly!" Lin Fan hadn't expected Mu Lingshan to strike so quickly. Seeing Lin Dong preparing to take action, he raised a hand to stop him, then called out to Mu Lingshan, "Lingshan, come back."

"Okay," Mu Lingshan responded obediently and flickered back to Lin Fan and Lin Dong's side.

After restraining the two, Lin Fan turned to the red-robed man, whom he suspected to be Mo Luo, and said, "Since you claim you're not our enemy, may I ask what business you have here?"

"Hehe, I don't really have any business with you," the red-robed figure said lazily, stretching his arms and giving Lin Fan a deep, meaningful look. "I just revealed myself because I was a little surprised by some of your abilities."

"There are very few people in this world who can erase Yi Mo energy. And even fewer who can do it while still only at the Life Profound Realm Perfection level…"

"So, you're familiar with Yi Mo energy too? Have you fought them before?" Lin Fan raised an eyebrow and asked casually.

"Heh, sharp kid. Yeah, I've fought them before. Those things are seriously annoying," the red-robed man chuckled eerily.

"In that case, since you have no further business, we'll take our leave," Lin Fan said, eyes flickering slightly.

Although Lin Fan suspected the man was Mo Luo, master of the Flame God Temple, there was nothing to be gained from further interaction right now.

The red-robed man clapped his hands and stood up. He looked at Lin Fan, then at Lin Dong, his gaze deepening.

"You two brothers… have some interesting things about you. Even I can't see through them clearly. But I'm sure we'll be seeing each other again soon. Until then…"

As his voice faded, the red-robed man's body turned into a blazing column of fire.

When the flames dispersed, he had vanished completely.

"That guy's really strong," Mu Lingshan said in awe, gazing in the direction he disappeared.

"Yeah. No doubt about that," Lin Dong nodded, his expression serious.

"No need to worry about him. Let's keep moving," Lin Fan said, shaking his head slightly.

With that, he took the lead, turning into a stream of light that shot deeper into the temple.

Lin Dong and Mu Lingshan immediately followed.

As they moved through the temple, they saw many other treasure hunters as well.

These people swarmed the ruins like locusts, breaking into the crumbling halls in search of anything of value.

Although much of the temple had been destroyed, it was once a place of grandeur. Even after so long, many treasures still remained.

But these treasures inevitably sparked bloody conflict.

As Lin Fan's group advanced, they witnessed at least ten different battles along the way—chaos erupting everywhere.

Aside from fighting among treasure hunters, there were still threats within the temple—more withered corpses like those from earlier.

These creatures were both prey and predator, hunting and being hunted by the treasure seekers.

Lin Fan and his companions didn't actively hunt the corpses. They only struck if one blocked their path.

To Lin Fan, a few Death Cores weren't worth the trouble. Their top priority now was finding the Thunder Ancestral Symbol.

As they pushed deeper, the surrounding structures grew more dense, though they were equally filled with the aura of decay.

Even so, one could faintly sense the scale of the ancient war that once ravaged this place.

Their true enemy back then… was the terrifying race of Yi Mo.

The Yi Mo were the common enemy of the entire world—wherever they went, nothing survived.

"Big Brother Lin Fan, Big Brother Lin Dong—something's going on up ahead!" Mu Lingshan suddenly called out, curiosity flickering in her big eyes.

Lin Fan nodded slightly. "Let's take a look. Stay alert."

He had already sensed it when she did—a strange energy fluctuation ahead, accompanied by faint rumbling thunder.

Lin Dong and Mu Lingshan nodded and moved carefully alongside Lin Fan toward the source of the thunder.

Whoosh!

Their figures turned into streaks of light, shooting through the air. About ten minutes later, they slowed as a strange scene came into view.

Before them stood a massive mountain, towering tens of thousands of feet high. Like a giant, it loomed across the land—time had not diminished its majesty.

RUMBLE!

At the mountain's edge, a massive silver waterfall thundered down, its roar shaking the heavens.

Upon closer inspection, they realized the waterfall wasn't made of water—it was thick, molten silver thunder magma, crackling with electric energy.

At the mountain's base was a vast Thunder Lake, stretching tens of thousands of feet across—so wide that its far end could not be seen.

"This ancient sect had terrifying resources…" Lin Dong muttered in awe.

The trio cautiously approached the mountain and stopped just before the Thunder Lake. Countless arcs of lightning flashed across its surface, and beneath the thunder magma, bolts of lightning swam like hidden beasts.

"This lake is filled with immense thunder energy. I'd wager it was once used for cultivation by the sect's disciples," Lin Dong said, lightly touching the surface.

Immediately, fine threads of thunder power wrapped around his fingers and penetrated his hand, refining his flesh.

Lin Fan nodded. "Most likely."

"Big Brother Lin Fan, Big Brother Lin Dong—look! What's that?!" Mu Lingshan suddenly cried out in surprise.

Following her gaze, Lin Fan and Lin Dong saw ripples spreading across a section of the lake. A vortex slowly began to form.

As the vortex took shape, a glowing sphere of thunder about the size of a human head rose from its center.

Within the glowing orb, a silver heart could be seen, pulsing slowly. With each beat, low thunder rumbled through the air.

"That's… the Heart of Thunder!" Lin Dong exclaimed, eyes wide with shock and excitement.

"No wonder this is the Reincarnation Temple…"

Lin Dong's eyes burned with desire. Knowing the benefits of the Heart of Thunder, he could no longer hold himself back. With a burst of speed, he dashed forward, hand reaching toward the treasure.

BOOM!

Just then, the sharp sound of something slicing through the air suddenly rang out, aimed directly at Lin Dong's forehead.
