Chapter 369: Demon-Slaying, A Final Gift!
However, against the black flames formed by Yi Mo energy, the Black Thunder Chains showed no signs of being corroded. Instead, they tightened further.
With a thought, Lin Fan forcefully pulled on the chains, yanking the dark creature away from the dried corpse's body.
"Prison of Space!"
Forming a hand seal, Lin Fan summoned spatial energy and created a Spatial Prison, sealing the dark creature within it.
ROAR!
The dark creature howled furiously, struggling violently against the black thunder chains and the spatial restraints.
But its efforts were in vain.
Lin Fan formed more seals, and one after another, mysterious sigils bathed in warm white light appeared, each falling upon the vital points of the creature's body. The gentle radiance radiated like sunlight, purging the dark demonic aura.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The moment the white light touched its body, a series of explosions burst forth across the creature's surface. The corrupted Yi Mo energy was blasted away chunk by chunk, dimming and dissipating.
ROAR! ROAR!
With the continuous bombardment, the once-fierce dark creature grew visibly weaker. A flicker of fear even passed through its pitch-black eyes.
But Lin Fan had no intention of showing mercy.
Behind him, waves of crimson fire roared to life, forming a blazing sun that hovered above his head.
"Go."
With a cold glint in his eyes, Lin Fan sent the flaming sun hurtling toward the creature.
The moment it flew forth, the space inside the Burning Heaven Cauldron trembled violently, on the verge of collapse.
In a blink, the massive flaming sun descended into the dark creature's terrified gaze, erupting with flames that swallowed it whole.
BOOM! BOOM!
A sea of fire engulfed the entire space inside the cauldron, warping the very air.
The dark creature rolled and twisted in agony within the inferno, its face contorted in unspeakable pain.
"Aaargh! Despicable human! You deserve to die!"
In just a few seconds, half of its body had been incinerated by the furious flames, and the destruction was still spreading.
Its roar echoed with fury… and fear.
Desperately, it tried to ram through the Spatial Prison, attempting to flee back into the demonic corpse's body.
But Lin Fan would not let it.
With a flick of his hands, he reinforced the Spatial Prison and coldly declared, "This world was never yours to take. So—perish."
WHOOSH! WHOOSH! WHOOSH!
Silver blades of space energy rained down like a storm, slicing into the dark creature from all directions.
"Aaargh—!"
A shrill scream pierced the air as the creature was shredded into countless pieces.
Yet it still wasn't dead. The severed fragments tried to reform.
But the fire sea surged again, the flames blazing more fiercely than ever—burning every last fragment into nothingness.
The dark creature… had been completely annihilated.
At the side, Lin Dong watched the entire purification unfold, letting out a long sigh of relief. He retrieved the three divine artifacts and turned toward the half-floating corpse.
The magical runes covering the figure had vanished completely, and his once-black eyes now shone a brilliant silver—filled with the power of thunder.
A powerful energy wave slowly emanated from his body—undeniably at the level of a Death Profound Realm Perfection expert.
The ancient expert had finally regained his consciousness.
Soft silver light now enveloped the corpse. The demonic aura was gone, and within his eyes, true emotion returned.
"Thank you."
The silver light figure's expression was stiff, his eyes blank for a moment. Then joy flooded his face.
Trembling with emotion, he stood and solemnly bowed to Lin Fan and Lin Dong.
Lin Fan and Lin Dong exchanged a glance and smiled.
"No need for such courtesy, Senior. The Yi Mo are the enemies of all humanity. You've already paid a heavy price. Are you fully recovered now?" Lin Fan asked.
"The demonic marks have been erased, and the last trace of my soul—sealed for over a millennium—has been freed. But I won't last long. I'll soon fade away," the silver figure said.
"You'll vanish? But the corruption is gone!" Lin Dong asked in surprise.
"Hehe, my current consciousness is only a fragmented soul..." the silver figure replied with a carefree smile.
He briefly explained his condition and then shared everything he knew about the Reincarnation Temple and the true function of the three Silver Tower Keys with Lin Fan and Lin Dong.
Finally, he warned them, "Whether you obtain the Thunder Ancestral Symbol depends on your own fate. But… keep the matter of the Ancestral Symbols secret. If not, you'll bring disaster upon yourselves."
Lin Dong nodded seriously. "I will remember your advice."
"Hehe… I have nothing left to offer in return. All I can give you is this broken body."
Smiling, the silver figure's body began to emit a dazzling thunder glow.
An immense surge of energy erupted.
Amid that glow, a Heart of Thunder nearly ten feet wide gradually took form—far more powerful than any Lin Fan or Lin Dong had seen before.
Buzz… Buzz…
Low thunder rumbled through the cauldron. The silver light spread in waves like ripples, magnificent and radiant.
"Please accept… my final gift. Thank you… for releasing me…"
With those final words and a gentle laugh, the silver figure faded entirely—disappearing into the thunderlight.
What remained in his place was a Heart of Thunder, pulsing with devastating power.
"Farewell, Senior."
Lin Fan and Lin Dong gave a slight bow and whispered their farewell.
"No wonder this Heart of Thunder feels so powerful… it was formed from the soul of a Death Profound Realm Perfection expert," Lin Dong murmured in awe.
"Absorb it," Lin Fan said softly.
He already had the Desolate Physique and the abilities of the Primordial Ancestral Symbol. His constitution was incredibly strong. In contrast, this Heart of Thunder would be far more beneficial to Lin Dong.
