Chapter 398: One by One They Appear, The Gathering of Powerhouses!

Lin Fan cast a calm gaze at the black figure in the sky whose demonic wings shimmered with golden runes. In just a glance, he could determine that the being was a General-Rank Yi Mo.

In terms of human cultivation, a General-Rank Yi Mo was equivalent to a Samsara Stage expert.

And soon after the appearance of this first General-Rank Yi Mo, two more of the same level followed behind him.

BOOM!

As the three demonic figures descended, a tide of dark energy surged out, blotting out the sky. In that instant, even the scorching sun lost its brilliance, casting the city into an ominous twilight.

Three General-Rank Yi Mo—three Samsara Realm-level demons—standing side by side.

This kind of line-up was terrifying even in the vast Devil Chaos Sea.

In fact, even Flame God Temple, with all its influence, only had two Samsara-level experts—and one of them was Mo Luo.

Sensing the immense pressure radiating from the three demonic generals, the entire city fell into a frenzy. Countless cultivators stood frozen, their eyes dull with disbelief.

"It's over… something huge is about to happen!"

Whispers of dread passed through the crowd. Many exchanged glances and found only terror mirrored back.

They had never seen such powerful beings appear so brazenly. Most Samsara experts were reclusive legends—yet now, three had appeared at once.

"Three General-Rank Yi Mo… seems you think quite highly of my Flame God Temple," a calm voice echoed from the heavens.

All eyes turned toward the voice—and saw a towering figure rise slowly from the Flame God Temple's main hall.

At his brow, a burning flame rune shimmered. His presence radiated terrifying heat like a surging storm.

It was Mo Luo.

But he wasn't finished.

His gaze swept from the generals to the massive black rift still crackling in the sky. He spoke again, his tone cold:

"There's also a King-Rank Yi Mo hiding in that rift, isn't there? Why not show yourself already? I'm curious—which Yi Mo King are you?"

Most of the spectators in the city were confused. Terms like "Yi Mo King" were alien to them.

But among them were a few seasoned veterans—elders from ancient clans, old monsters in seclusion—whose expressions shifted drastically.

Their pupils trembled as they stared at the black rift, faces pale and full of dread.

Lin Dong, Tang Xinlian, and the others stood on edge. Their knowledge of the Yi Mo made them all the more anxious.

They knew just how dangerous a King-Rank Yi Mo could be.

Above, the three demonic generals let out sinister chuckles.

"As expected of the wielder of the Flame Ancestral Symbol," one said.

Even they, despite their power, didn't dare take Mo Luo lightly.

They had suffered too many losses in ancient times at the hands of Ancestral Symbol wielders.

Mo Luo's crimson eyes narrowed. Slowly, he lifted his hand.

BOOM!

In an instant, dozens of aura explosions erupted from Flame God Temple. Countless figures shot into the sky, their brilliance lighting up the heavens.

Each figure was a high-ranking elder or elite of the temple.

The crowd below watched in stunned silence. These were names known across the Devil Chaos Sea—now all appearing at once.

Flame God Temple had gone all out.

The three demonic generals looked slightly surprised but didn't retreat.

They had come prepared.

"Show yourself," Mo Luo called again, eyes locked on the rift.

A laugh, cold and sinister, echoed from within.

"Heh… you Ancestral Symbol wielders are always so troublesome."

Suddenly, the black rift spewed out dense, sticky black miasma like a flood. As it touched the surrounding space, sharp hissing sounds rang out.

The world's natural energy evaporated in its presence.

It was rejection—the world itself resisting the miasma.

A terrifying aura surged from the rift. The cultivators below dropped to their knees, unable to withstand the pressure. Some trembled uncontrollably.

The air felt too thick to breathe.

Gulp...

The miasma churned, forming a massive black throne in the sky.

And then—

A man in purple robes appeared, seated on it.

His face looked human, but his wings were monstrous, golden and bone-spiked. Purple-gold veins glowed faintly across his wings, emitting a pressure that bent space itself.

His eyes were purple, emotionless and cold, like a grim reaper's gaze.

"I am Tianming. You may call me… King Tianming."

He spoke softly, but his voice echoed like thunder.

"These three are my demon generals. We came in response to Lord Mo Luo's gracious invitation," he said mockingly.

Mo Luo's gaze remained steady.

"You knew it was a trap and still came. You must be confident."

"The Thunder Ancestral Symbol is too tempting," Tianming replied.

"Even if it's a fake, the Flame Ancestral Symbol certainly isn't."

His gaze fell upon Mo Luo.

"Since you're here, I'll take your Flame Ancestral Symbol as well. Such a divine relic shouldn't remain in your hands."

Mo Luo's pupils shrank.

"Then try."

Their exchange ignited the battlefield.

At Tianming's order, the three demonic generals launched their attacks—one toward Lin Fan, another toward Lin Dong, and the third toward Tang Xinlian.

Mo Luo and Tianming remained locked in place, neither yet making a move.

But just as the generals charged, a beam of brilliant green light shot through the sky.

"ROOOAR!"

A clear dragon's roar followed. A colossal green dragon's claw pierced through the air, slamming one of the demonic generals away.

He was blasted ten thousand meters, crashing through dozens of buildings—turning them to dust.

The city gasped.

And then, descending in the wake of the claw, was a tall figure in flowing green robes.

His appearance was elegant. His black hair danced in the wind, his aura refined and detached, like a being from a higher realm.

He landed silently beside Lin Dong.

And every eye turned to him in awe.
