Early in the morning,
I took the bath first and was going to get ready. Cause after having breakfast, we will leave for flight.
I was fanning my hair with a hair dryer, and suddenly looked behind's scenario from the mirror. He was searching for something. "You are done! I thought you would wash your hair today with shampoo. Isn't it your weekly routine?" I asked him cause I saw his sticky notes on the refrigerator.
"No, yes. I mean, I haven't taken a bath. I will go now." Saying it, he was taking a tablet. I again looked back. "Can I ask what it is for?" After swallowed it, he looks at me. "NO, it's for my pain on head's back. I have a prescription." He explained to me that way, he knew why.
As he was going to take a bath, I stopped him with a question, "If your head is injured, then how would you wash your hair? Wouldn't it hurt?" "Y-yes. It would. I won't wash my hair." He answered me but didn't turn his face. I turned the hair dryer off and stood up. "I can wash your hair and promise it won't hurt. I will do it carefully." "No. It's okay-" "It's NOT okay. You haven't washed it since our wedding. I saw you itching your sculps more than necessary. I know you're having irritations with your unwashed hair. It's okay, I can help you."
He was looking at me with his all intricate and grotesque sides. Freezed on his position. I was waiting for the answer, but he didn't open his mouth to speak. "Shall I?" I again ask. I am still unfamiliar with his sudden-paused-with-no-reaction feedback. He still hasn't opened his mouth. I passed him and went to the bathroom to turn the faucet off.
Maybe after a few seconds, he moved. When I turned back I saw him. "It's okay. I can wash it on my own." "No, let me. I will just wash your hair and leave. Get on the bathtub, and I will wait outside." I told him I know he won't say a word furthur.
After knocking on the door, I entered and sat up on the rim. I don't know that he takes bubble bath. However, I dipped my finger on the water to check whether it was hot or not. As I felt the warmth, I took the shampoo from the rim. I was applying shampoo on his hair, carefully and smoothly. Making sure he doesn't get any sore.
"Can I ask something?" I asked him while massaging his hair. "Hm." He answered. "How did you get the hurt?" I asked and saw him opening his eyes. "Don't open your eyes, otherwise, it will burn if it enters." I alerted him as he closed his eyes. "Ahm! I was searching for something. Ah- my pen under the table, and when I was about to get up, I didn't look the edge as it collided with the back of my head." He told me.
I didn't say a word. I faced it many times, what he explained. I never had to visit doctors and even get medicines. Like, what does he think? I still do not get it.
I washed his hair gently and rinsed it with water. I even applied conditioner and rinsed again. I know it better that he would never tell me if I hurt him. But I was so careful that he couldn't even get a tiny pull on his hair. I stripped every part of his hair to make sure it all cleaned well.
"Done. And finish your bath soon cause it's been a while, you're soaked. You will get cold. You can take a shower instead, your wish. I will wait outside. If you need something, tell me." I left quickly after washing his hair. I again found his unnamed reaction. But I ignored. I was happy with it that he would be relieved from disturbing itching.
After getting ready, I was waiting for him to finish his touch-up. I was again looking at him from some inches away. But this time, I wasn't melting with his beauty, I was observing his carefulness with his hair. And yes, I got something.
"What did the doctor say further about your pain? Will it take long?" I asked to get the full confirmation. "Yes, I mean no. It won't. Don't worry." He told me while wearing his overcoat. I smiled when he looked at me. "Make sure you prepare a strong lie next time." I told him.
