Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: Anywhere Door

Thursday — 6:00 AM

Sakurai Saki's eyes opened to an unfamiliar ceiling.

This is not my room.

He turned his head.

Messy golden hair. Cute face, slack with sleep. Sports jacket. Drool at the corner of her mouth.

Gabriel.

Why am I in Gabriel's room?

Why are we sharing a bed?

His mind processed.

Today's superpower: Anywhere Door.

Effect: Opens portal to any location.

Side effect: Random teleportation every six hours.

Like Doraemon's gadget, but with cooldown instead of instant activation.

No range limit, though.

He shifted away from her. Activated the ability.

Countdown: one minute.

"Mmm~"

Gabriel's arm snaked around him, pulling him back. Her leg hooked over his body.

Bear hug. Trapped.

"Gabriel." Soft voice.

Can't use ability like this.

Only had this power once before. Not proficient.

"Hoo~" She nuzzled against him. Breathing steady. Deep asleep.

Saki considered.

"Game event starting." Calm voice. "New version. You haven't played it."

"En~?"

Eyes cracked open. Blurry. Focused on his face.

She kissed him.

Chu~

A cute, automatic, half-asleep kiss.

Saki patted her cheek. Soft. Warm.

She thinks she's dreaming.

Bold in dreams.

"Ugh It hurts" Complaint. Pout-adjacent.

"Awake now?"

Gabriel stared.

Processed.

Her face reddened at visible speed. She vanished under the blanket.

"Gabriel?! How—why—when—"

"Superpower side effect."

"Oh." A pause. She emerged with forced casualness. "I thought you were going to keep me. Got my hopes up for nothing."

If not for the visible embarrassment, I might believe her.

"Six AM. Sleep more?" Saki stood, preparing to leave.

"Daily quests reset." Gabriel squatted before her computer, already logged in.

Saki surveyed the room.

Disgusting. Cockroaches would feel at home.

"School today."

"Mm!" Enthusiastic nod.

"Maiten High penalizes absences. Risk of repeating year."

"Mm!" Another nod.

"Heaven might recall you."

"No."

"Then why gaming at six AM?"

"I spent money on gacha..." Gabriel's voice trailed off. She turned slowly, realization dawning.

Saki's lips curved. He moved, crouching before her. Then—

Pounce.

She was pinned beneath him, hands braced on either side of her face.

"You spent money?" His voice was dangerous. "Last time, when demons appeared, you were unusually eager. There was a reward, yes?"

Face pinch.

"When will you repay what you owe?"

Tens of thousands. Not small change.

Gabriel turned her head dramatically, the captured female knight accepting her fate.

"Guh. No money. Only my life remains. Take it!"

The demon bounty. Paid to her.

New game event. Limited outfits. Gacha.

She "accidentally overspent."

Again.

Now it seems, Saki observed, she's contemplating selling herself to settle the debt.

"Since you offered." His voice was cooperative. Almost helpful. "Proceed."

Gabriel's fingers found her jacket zipper. Pulled down—slightly, tentatively. She looked up at him, still pinning her, expression shifting to theatrical resolve.

"Be gentle." A pause. "It would be even better if you could compensate me afterward."

Is this selling herself, or scamming?

Angel scam. That's the term.

Normally, Saki would release her now. Gentlemanly forgiveness. The expected outcome.

Not today.

Lesson required.

"Don't worry." His hand covered hers on the zipper. "I'll pay."

Gabriel's bravado evaporated.

He's actually—

His hand is—

This is—

"Gabriel!" Panic crept into her voice. "I was JOKING!"

She clutched her chest. He didn't release.

"Don't do this! PLEASE!"

"Really! Let me GO! I've always considered you a FRIEND!"

"This is a CRIME! Don't—"

Saki studied her expression.

Genuine fear. Not performance.

"One time. Debt cleared. Fair deal."

"…I'll pay you back." Small voice. Defeated.

"Really?"

"Really!" Tears threatened.

Guilt. Sudden and sharp.

He released her.

Gabriel collapsed to the floor, broken.

Almost lost her chastity.

Never making jokes like that again.

She glanced at him. His eyes earlier—briefly, just briefly—had held something predatory.

He considered it.

For a few seconds, he actually considered it.

(She was wrong. Saki had no interest. Gabriel's figure rivaled Kaguya's—flat enough that men's clothes required no binding. The predatory look was purely theatrical.)

Saki returned home, leaving Gabriel to recover.

Anywhere Door. Long-duration opening. Follows moving targets.

Example: set destination to someone's head. Knock anytime, anywhere, regardless of movement.

Practical.

Also considered lewd applications.

For a few seconds.

Didn't implement.

Kissing through space? Strange concept.

What did you think I meant?

Satisfied the ability functioned as previously, he prepared for school.

School Gate

Saki dismounted his bicycle.

Iino Miko stood at the entrance—paler than usual, movements heavy.

"Good morning Sakurai-senpai"

" Miko. Unwell?"

"…I'm fine." The words required visible effort. "Nothing serious."

Good student syndrome. Won't take absence.

"Infirmary available if needed." Concern colored his voice.

"Thank you, Sakurai-senpai."

He nodded and walked past.

Stopped.

Turned.

Watched her for a moment.

Hope she's okay.
