Chapter : 20 : Unknown Magical Affinity :
Location : Kingdom Of Valerion Valerion Academy : Academy Training Ground's :
" Why do we have to stand here today ? "

Under the scorching heat of the sun the students standing in the ground where complaining one after another .
Just in the morning they got the instructions to gather in the Academy Training ground and wait for their teachers to make an announcement .
Although no one understood what this was about but still it's been 30 minutes and there was no sign of any teacher coming .
This left them extremely agitated and helpless .
After all it would have been far better to stay within the classrooms were there was air conditioning crystals then in this scorching heat .

The main difference here is that instead of being powered by electricity the technology is powered or made of magical crystals .
Just like the lighting in the rooms which are not light bulbs but magical crystals the rest of the technology also use various kinds of magical crystals .
For example ice and air crystals for air conditioning and where as a special kind of projection crystal for TV , movie theatres , etc .
The development of Technology in this world is quite uneven and developed according to the needs of the specific situation .
Moreover the presence of supernatural elements like magic and individuals who can out run and single handedly destroy an entire army makes the situation even more different .
So in a sense this world is a blend between a medieval and a modern magical society where magic and science has mixsy together to make an entirely new system .
" Cian ! you look quite happy today . Did something happen . "
At the back of the row both Cian and Liora stood side by side .
Liora's question made Cian look at her with a happy smile .
It's been a few days since he return to the academy and a lot of things had happened .
And among those things two events made him very happy .
One of them was that after a few days of returning to the academy Cian made a journey to the adventurer's guild of the city to sell the items he had collected from the forest adventure .
At first you wanted to go there the very next day however the classes to the time and he had to postpone it for another day.
However when he went to sell the items in actually had a lot of them
This included the magical beast core of the tiger beast and medicinal plants he found from the forest .
Moreover there were various other parts of the magical beast and other hunts to sell .
He even sold some materials and treasures found from the cave of the magical beast that were useless to him .
And not only that when he went to the adventurer's guild he found that there was actually a special bounty authorised by the kingdom to hunt down that magical tiger beast .
And since he was the one to do it Cian got that reward as well .
In fact when Cian presented all those things to the beautiful clerk sitting at the front row of the adventurer's guild she was too shocked to say anything.
In fact this character was actually a small side character named sister Rose from the story .
Her job was to only help the hero party to collect and sell their hunts in the guild and except for that she only had a limited appearance .
Her character was designed like and older sister who cared about the hero as a younger brother , going as far as to often scold him for taking much unnecessary risks or getting injured .
And true to her nature she continuously asked Cian about everything that happened .
Her shout even got the attention of many other adventurors sitting in the nearby tables who looked at him with shock.
At first Cian was a little irritated by all these intensive questions but afterwards felt that it was actually normal .
After all considering his age it was quite normal to ask such questions and have doubts .
So it was quite natural for her to ask such questions .
At the end however Cian openly decided to show his identity as a student of Valerion Academy .
This seem to calm the situation a little .
And although she was still a little more sceptical but it was still only a little .
But after that what Cian didn't expect was her to go on a full rampage mode lectureing him about the dangers of doing such things .
And while this may have been a little irritating at first Cian actually listen to her all the way through .
It was because in her voice and actions he could see a genuine worry.
It felt like an elder sister scolding the younger mischievous brother who had done something dangerous and risky.
And to be honest being scolded like that not because they hated you....
But because they cared about you felt....

At least that's how Cian felt .
After that incident was over he returned with his wallet full and happy .
In total from all the treasures he had acquired in the cave and the money he got from the bounty and selling the other items he was now a little rich man .
And now he could comfortably take care of his needs in the capital and would not have to rely on his family's support .
In fact he was going to send some of the money back to the family so that it can be used for the betterment of their area .
Cian was not like one of those main character's who only viewed their relations in the new world as burden or with cold neutrality .

His mother on the other hand was also a very deeply caring person who worked work as a teacher in the nearby orphanages .
But despite all their works and duties they never failed to show up to care for him and always presented themselves as much as they can .
Yes! they were not always successful and they made mistakes .
But they tried their best .
So how could Cian after all this ever think of such people as nothing .
For someone who lacked the love of a family in his previous life this was a treasure that was more important to him than the gold .
What was the meaning of having power if you don't have the happiness to live with it .

Note : The affinity provided by the system will give the host natural synchronisation with the host as it is one of his natural magical affilities but whether or not the host can master it will depend totally on his efforts.

Looking at the message in front Cian couldn't help but think again and again that he was living in a dream world .
Finally after all this time he got what he wanted .
Liora was in love with him .
He was not only excited for the reward he would get for this change but more importantly he was excited for his future relations with Liora .
And although she had yet to confess her feeling or reply to his confessions from that day the fact that the system gave him this notification was already prove that in her heart she had already made the decision .
And now it was only a matter of speaking it out loud .
And this was a feeling of euphoria that couldn't be described in words .
And as for the reward it was truly worthy for a tier 3 change .
Getting an extra magical affinity that he was not born with was almost a miracle.
Especially when according to the system this new affinity will be totally synchronise with his natural abilities without any side effects which is even more astonishing .
Indeed there are indeed some ways by which you can get extra magical affinity's that you are not born with .
But most of the time this process is quite risky and even if successful it has a lot of side effects.
But now Cian had gained the same power from the system without needing to worry about side effects .
So obviously he was happy .
Although Cian did not know what unknown magical affinity he will get he still hope that it will be a good one .
Moreover any extra strength boot was welcomed .
" Well ! Looking at your beautiful face the first thing in the morning always cheers me up . "
" Oh ! Would you stop teasing me already . "
" What ? Teasing you ? I would never . I am just telling the truth from the bottom of my heart . "
Looking at Cian's half serious expression , Liora felt that this boy was really shameless saying such things early in the morning in the Academy grounds .
But still it managed make her blush a little .

Just then sounds of footsteps started to arrive in the area .
The group consisted of Professor Frost and a few other teachers .
But among those teachers there was a girl of their age .
The girl walked with the grace of a trained warrior whose beauty was so good that it was even comparable to girl's like Liora and Elera .
This instantly made her the centre of attraction of the crowd .
However when everyone else was attracted by her beauty or her presence , Cian on the other hand had an entirely different expression on his face .
" Here she comes !!!! The second heroine of the story . "
