Chapter 124 - Chapter 124: King of Men

Renji hurtled through the air, carried by the fierce winds, tumbling and swaying as he rapidly approached the Typhoon Devil—until he reached the nearest tall building beside it: the original hundred-meter office tower.

Struggling to control his body, he managed to maintain a stance that allowed him to exert force. Once again, he drove the Clothesline Pole in his hand deep into the hard wall of the adjacent building, suspending himself in midair.

The Typhoon Devil noticed his presence, opened its mouth, and exhaled.

"You're here! Man!"

"Yes! I'm here! Can we talk? Is your goal the same as Reze's? Do you also want to take me away?!"

"That's right!"

Renji recalled the Future Devil he had encountered before. Both the Future Devil and the Typhoon Devil were Devils, so perhaps…

He ventured, "If I give you my seed, will you let me go? Leave right now?!"

The Typhoon Devil was stunned for a moment, then a hint of surprise crossed its face. It pressed eagerly, "Eh?! Really?! How much can you give?!"

"I'll give you five large bottles to start—thousands of milliliters, guaranteed! And if you promise to leave now, I'll even sign a contract with you! Every week from now on, I'll continuously provide you with a substantial amount of seed! You can come take it directly, or take it from my body—either way! But if you take it from my body, you have to transform into human form first! Otherwise, it won't come out!"

The Typhoon Devil was overjoyed and was about to respond when loud bangs echoed and a series of violent explosions erupted in the air.

Reze landed steadily on the wall behind Renji, clinging to it as she exhaled black smoke. Her gaze fixed on the Typhoon Devil ahead.

"So, Renji's offer? Are you going to let him go, Typhoon Devil?"

[Ding~ Detected Reze's murderous emotional state. System rewards 20 points.]

Sweat drops nearly a meter in size streamed down the Typhoon Devil's enormous baby face. It trembled.

"I…! The reason I exist…! Everything I do is for Reze-sama!"

Renji glanced back at Reze, anxiety rising. He shouted at the Typhoon Devil.

"Hey! Didn't we just agree?! Don't you want my seed?!"

"Of course I do! But more than that, I value my own little life!"

With that, the Typhoon Devil opened its mouth wide and began to inhale sharply. Renji's body was flipped over by the suction; he could only grip the Clothesline Pole tightly, his head facing Reze, his feet pointing directly at the Typhoon Devil.

Reze extended an arm toward him. A tiny spark shot from between her fingers and instantly pulverized the section of wall where the Clothesline Pole was embedded.

Losing his support, Renji was now truly helpless. His whole body flew straight toward the Typhoon Devil's gaping maw.

"—BEAM!!!—"

A shark fin erupted from another wall of the tall building, layers of chains wrapped around it.

The fin streaked beneath Reze, shot to the edge of the building, and leaped high into the air, pouncing directly on Renji as he spun helplessly.

"W-What?!"

Beam extended her hands, gripping Renji's armor tightly, lifting him high. Then, aiming carefully, she plunged with a splash into a massive, shattered building fragment suspended in the air below.

"Renji-sama, Renji-sama! I'm back! I've already hidden that Angel Devil!"

Beam set Renji down, leaned halfway out of the water, and waved her clenched fists excitedly.

"Good! You did well! Now transform back—transform into a shark!"

"Yes!!"

Beam responded and shifted. Sharp teeth grew in her mouth, interlocking, as she instantly reverted to her original Devil form.

A massive, several-meter-long alien shark!

Three round eyes lined each side of her head, neatly arranged from large to small.

Immediately after, four long, thick pectoral fins—like spider legs—extended with a wet squelch, splattering mucus as they embedded themselves into the wall below.

Renji grabbed the chains wrapped around Beam's head and tossed them into the air, wrapping both ends tightly around his arms. The middle of the chain looped cleverly into the shark's mouth.

He sat on her back, gripping the chains tightly with both hands, and pulled hard!

Beam was yanked upward, her entire body leaping high like an untamed wild horse.

"I've wanted to do this for a long time! Beam! This way, we don't have to worry about the wind!"

[Ding~ Detected Shark Fiend's excited emotional state. System rewards 20 points.]

"Amazing! Truly amazing, amazing! As expected of Renji-sama! To think of such a method!"

"Let's go!!!"

"Yes, Renji-sama!!!"

Renji, pulling the Shark Fiend behind him, began maneuvering between the floating fragments of the shattered building, rapidly closing in on Reze's position.

The Shark Fiend's ability perfectly countered the Typhoon Devil's power—she was completely unaffected by the strong winds while in the water.

Reze tensed her body, facing the two charging toward her.

[Ding~ Detected Reze's angry emotional state. System rewards 20 points.]

"Renji! I'll make you regret not coming with me!"

"Did you hear that, Beam?! You can't let me regret it!!!"

"Yes! Renji is the strongest! Renji is the most handsome! Renji is the King of Men!!!"

Sparks glittered at Reze's feet. She leaped backward, gliding through the air, then charged fiercely toward Renji. She spread her arms, and waves of scorching heat radiated from her body.

A blinding flash obscured everyone's vision. In an instant, a series of earth-shattering explosions erupted, one after another. The hundred-meter office building swayed precariously under the immense force.

But Reze's fierce attacks all missed. Renji tightened his grip on the chains, and Beam leaped across the building's surface, perfectly evading every blast.

"Renji! You're like a cockroach! Can you stop scuttling around?!"

Reze roared in frustration.

"If I don't scuttle around, should I just stand there and let you blow me up?! That would hurt!"

Renji shouted back while moving.

"Reze-sama! I'll lend you a hand!"

The Typhoon Devil lumbered closer with heavy steps. Each footfall shook the ground violently. The already teetering office building began to contact the swirling winds around its body.

With a bone-chilling roar, the building's steel beams fractured instantly. Bricks and tiles rained down. Shattered glass sprayed everywhere.

The entire structure was mercilessly churned and crushed by the gale, then continuously sucked into the Typhoon Devil's enormous, terrifying form.

"Damn man!!!"

The Typhoon Devil roared, mouth agape, as it lashed its thick, intestine-like brain matter fiercely toward Renji.

At the same time, it didn't forget to shield Reze with its fat infant arm, protecting her inside while isolating Renji outside.

Renji pulled the chains. Beam submerged into the wall, dodging the attack. They surfaced directly beneath the arm. Renji swung the Clothesline Pole, releasing magic in a flash of golden light.

The pole carved a shocking gash under the Typhoon Devil's arm. Instantly, Renji's figure flickered, and he slipped into the wound like a ghost, slashing wildly.

The Typhoon Devil abandoned its protection of Reze, raising its arm and screaming in agony. Renji slipped out and rushed toward Reze below.

Seizing the opportunity, he struck with his blade. In the blink of an eye, he cleanly severed Reze's left lower leg. Blood splattered everywhere.

"So painful!"
