Lucien did not spend all of his time watching everyone else improve.
Once the researchers left with another mountain of sand, he withdrew deeper into his inner universe and resumed his own training.
That had become more complicated lately.
It was not because his strength had stopped growing.
The opposite was true.
The problem was that the changes occurring inside him no longer felt like ordinary increases in power.
His Omnigenesis Vessel had begun reacting more frequently.
Lucien had studied it before.
He had tested how it responded to different Laws, how easily it accommodated conflicting authorities, and how naturally it accepted things that should have required far more effort.
None of those observations had explained what the Vessel actually represented.
Recently, however, the feeling had changed.
The more time Lucien spent inside his inner universe, the easier it became to notice.
His Vessel responded whenever the universe itself changed.
