Lucien eventually returned to the Big World.
The moment Lucien emerged, he sensed a familiar presence.
Alanthuriel.
The Abyssal Entity stood quietly beneath the open sky, and Lucien's expression changed the moment he saw him.
Alanthuriel was rarely easy to read, but today there was a gravity around him that Lucien had only seen a few times before.
Lucien approached immediately.
"Senior Alan, what happened?"
Alanthuriel looked at him.
"It has begun."
Lucien's chest tightened.
He did not need to ask what he meant.
The Prime Continuum.
Alanthuriel had warned him long ago that the seal would not hold forever. He had been one of the reasons the Parallel Timelines had remained locked away for so long, but the forces working against that seal had never stopped.
"The lock is failing," Alanthuriel continued. "The Prime Continuum will open soon. When it does, the Parallel Timelines will begin returning."
Lucien had prepared himself for those words.
