Chapter 347 - Chapter 347: Wanna Play A Game? Part 2: Skipping Chains! Part 1

…

Somewhere inside an underground dungeon, an elder dwarf with an astonishingly long beard could be seen trudging down a hallway heading towards a certain prison cell as his subordinate followed close behind.

"And your certain it was her?"

"Yes sir! She matches the description given to us, and in addition to confessing her identity herself, both the informant at the head of the transport and Sir Jol attested to her identity!"

"Jol? Did that boy abandon his mission to return here?"

"No Sir! We received a call via communication crystal informing us of the prisoner's arrival in advance as well as the identity of the man leading the transport which was further corroborated by the dragonewts!"

"That's good to hear! Even if one objective is achieved, this skirmish is not quite over yet, and that stronghold is a vital piece in our strategy! If he succeeds, this conflict will practically be over" The elder dwarf spoke.

*Rustling chains*

As they neared their destination, they could hear the rustling of chains, accompanied by a woman's voice.

"Strawberry shortcake, blueberry pie,

Who's gonna be the unlucky guy?

Bee-hive, Old Goat, Long-!

Oh, hey there Long-Beard!" Nox said, using the long metal chain attached to the wall as a jumping rope.

"…!"

"You want to jump in! This chain is long enough for two!"

Without a word, Olaf just pulled out his mythical battleaxe and swung it down, splitting the space in front of him, severing one of Nox's arms at the shoulder, along with the chain.

*Pop**Clatter**Clank**Crackle*

"Oh, come on man! I was on a roll!" Nox complained as sparks of electricity came sparking from the inside of her robotic shoulder.

"Uh, why is her-?"

"You fool! You idiots captured a golem!" Olaf rebuked his subordinate.

"S-Sorry sir!"

"*Sigh* Forget it! I can at least work with this! Hm?" Olaf said as he put on an enchanted set of glasses before showing a confused expression as he looked upon the Nox-golem which was grabbing the now shortened chain to continue skipping.

"Hm? Don't look at me! You had your shot! Now it's a one person jumping chain!"

"…! How are you concealing your command signal!"

"You tryin to find the real me Long-Beard! Too bad, I don't have any! Better luck next time!"

"Do not play games with me! All golems need to receive a signal of some kind to understand what actions to-!"

Just then, the memory of a golem he encountered centuries ago. With a head made of gold, sculpted into the shape of a bird, even after he killed the one commanding it, though its movements were a bit rough, the golem was still quite clearly able to act on its own.

"You're independent!"

"Ding, Bink, Ding! Right to money-town Long-Beard! I'm a strong independent haunted golem clone, who don't need no main body to tell me what to do!"

"So, you have learned the secrets of the Watanabe!"

"Wata-what-now? Oh, wait, you're talking about those third-rate sex-dolls! Don't mistake my steamy, sexy golem bod for those heaps of scrap! I'm way more advanced than those butt-clowns ever was!" The Nox-golem said.

"Fascinating! Not a single signal being received nor transmitted! I always hoped I'd one day get the chance to study Watanabe's golem craft!" Olaf said with a glint of excitement in his eyes as he approached Nox's golem, numerous tools extending from the tips of the fingers of his gloves as he looked ready to tear this specimen apart.

"What are you doing! Hey, I told you, the chain isn't long enough! *Drilling sound* HEY, WAIT! DON'T YOU NEED TO KNOW WHY I'M HERE FIRST?!" The Nox-golem shouted as the dwarf had already torn open one of her legs.

"Oh, right!"

"Jeez! Look at what you did! You could've at least bought me dinner first before going to town on my leg! Pervert!"

"Just say what you are here to say already! If your creator sent you here to make a plea for mercy then-!"

"Oh no, no, no, no! That ship has already sailed my long-bearded fellow! This will only end when one side is completely annihilated! She wouldn't accept your surrender even if you waved your white undies in the air!"

*Drilling*

"WAIT!"

"Speak your business quickly!"

"*Sigh* Fine, all I'm here to do is ask one little question!"

Just then, the mouth of her mask snapped open, revealing a white dragon ring, sitting on a tiny pillow inside the golem's mouth.

"Do you want to play a game?" The golem said.

…

Meanwhile, to the west, an identical Nox-golem was sitting alone inside an empty field staring in the direction of the mass of fog in the distance.

"Oh, there you are? You're late!" She said as she turned her head 180 degrees to look at the old man who just teleported behind her.

At the same time, to the north, another Nox was sitting atop the tallest roof of a city, staring in the direction of the glowing high-elf walking towards the city wall.
