Shun looked at the whale shaped small island with his sensory magic imbued with observation haki.
If he got serious, he could pretty much see everything within the entire magnolia, so this small island wasn't an issue.
After observing for a few minutes, Shun realized where he was.
'If it's here, it shouldn't be an issue to bring her.' Shun thought before swiftly going to the Mushoku world.

When Shun turned invisible and entered the house, Aisha was staring into the void with creased eyebrows.
'Is she stressed out? Then I was right with my choice to bring her.' Shun thought before covering her eyes.

After being alert for a second, Aisha took a sniff and…

Shun decided to just ignore her antics.
"Let's go out to play."

Aisha's eyes widened at this sudden situation. She was just thinking about Nanahoshi and her shameless desire to follow Shun earlier but…

"Aisha… what's the noise?" Lilia arrived with the two maids, Pursena and Linia. They had black eyes, unsettled hair, and dusty clothes.
'Were they fighting?' Shun decided not to ask.
"Mom! I'll go out to play!"
"Eh?"
Lilia was surprised by Aisha suddenly acting childish but smiled.
"Have fun." Lilia patted her head then went back to disciplining Linia and Pursena.
Aisha quickly dressed up in her 'precious' clothes, which were gifts from Shun for her birthday. She hadn't even worn them except the day she got the gift, because she always wore the maid outfits and felt they were too precious.

Once they got outside, Shun teleported the two of them to the sky above the whale shaped island.
"W-Where is this?!" Aisha was very excited, despite having experienced flying all the time. The sight this time felt different.
"It's a new world I haven't been to. I did a little research, the people of this world can't use magic. So don't use magic openly, I want us to pass as regular people in this world." Shun explained the basics.
"Roger!" Aisha saluted.
"Okay, let's land." Shun wasn't cold hearted enough to cool down her excitement.
Aisha looked around with her hands behind her back.
"We haven't even seen anything interesting yet." Shun reminded her.
Aisha nodded with a smile.
"If you're this happy, then I'm glad I brought you here." Shun had a rare look of genuine smile.
Before long they finally arrived at a family owned tavern.
"Welcome." Inside, a woman about the age of 25 and a grandma were the only ones working.
"We're new here, give us your best sellers." Shun's unfamiliar voice on the small island was enough to gather attention from the young woman who was wiping a glass.
Shun usually bragged about his looks as a joke but, it wasn't an exaggeration to say that he was attractive. He was currently dressed in just a t-shirt and shorts and a simple black gloves to hide his paws. Though it was simple, it displayed his muscular build. Thanks to the pure gold, Shun didn't end up as a chubby guy even with his lazy lifestyle.
The young woman named Mito blushed a little before coming back to her senses.
"Yes!" She went back to the kitchen while the grandma led the two to their seats.
Soon enough, simple but delicious looking food came. It was shrimp fried rice and a beer. For Aisha it was juice.
"Thanks." After eating, the two sat chatting with the grandma.
"I'm trying to be a hunter, do you know which port I should go to?"
"!"
At the mention of a hunter, Mito's expression froze.
"…You should search for a ship that's going to Dolle." The grandma answered in her place.
After paying with the money that he stole with time stop from the nearby clothing store under Aisha's shocked eyes, Shun left to search for a fishing kid with Aisha.
"I thought we shouldn't use magic." Aisha asked.
"I can use it but you can't."
"Eh?"
"Your control is still flawed." Shun didn't give her a chance to complain as he shut her down with facts.
Within ten minutes of leisurely walking they found the kid fishing patiently, which just showed how small the island was. They just took a seat next to him without speaking as the kid was too focused.
"Aahh-! So close!" The kid in green clothes lamented at his failure.
"That's a shame, I was looking forward to eating it." A shameless voice commented from the side.
"Eh? Who are you?" The kid named Gon finally noticed the two people.
"I'm Shun."
"Aisha."
"I'm Gon." The three short named people greeted each other.
"Did you want something from me?" Gon asked curiously.
"We heard that someone was going to take the hunter exam, since our goal is the same we thought we should meet you." Shun made up some lie on the spot.
'I do want to become a hunter. Hunters get a teacher that teaches them nen from the hunter association. Though I could probably steal it, where's the fun in that. Two weeks in the One Piece world means almost two months here.'
Aisha had no clue what hunter even meant but didn't let out any careless words or emotions.
"Hunter? Really?" Gon's expression brightened then gloomed. "Actually if I can't catch that fish from earlier, I'm not allowed to take the exam."
Apparently Gon had been trying for some time with no success.
After chatting for a while…
"Do you know if there is a hotel nearby?" Shun asked as it was getting late.
"If you haven't found a place to stay, you can rest at my place until I catch the master of the swamp!"
"Really? Thanks."
The two shook hands. Just like that Shun and Aisha found a place to stay.
'This kid sure is easy to manipulate, despite having a few loose screws in his head.' Shun was a bit scared of people that had Gon's type of personality.

"Mito-san, I brought friends over." Gon shouted as soon as they entered their house.
"Oh my, friends? Come inside." Mito invited them warmly only to freeze momentarily upon seeing their faces.
"Oh? You're the chef from earlier." Shun feigned surprise.

Aisha who had been observing Shun's Oscar level acting from morning was surprised.
'What is he trying to do? Does he act like this in every world he visits?'
Though his acting was good, he was an amateur in front of Aisha.
Mito felt it was a bit suspicious but soon dropped her guard as there wasn't anything valuable in their home.
"But, Shun-san. Those muscles are very cool!" Gon commented.
"You think so? I train hard every day, you will have a similar build if you train like me." Shun lied as smoothly as he breathed.

Aisha almost let out a laugh when she imagined the lazy Shun training hard every day.
While Gon and Shun chatted, Aisha chatted the other two up like the professional she was.
"Then I'm going to sleep! I have to wake up early and catch the master of the swamp!" Gon said and went to his room at 9 PM.
'Kid is a kid huh?'
"Okay, good night."
Shun and Aisha were led into the guest room where they had to share a bed.
Aisha was thrilled like the Greyrat family pervert she was, but Shun didn't really feel anything as he had other plans after putting Aisha to sleep.

In half an hour, Aisha slept soundly. Despite being sharp, she didn't even notice Shun had left the bed.
'If I can't get past her senses, I might as well retire. Leave the world government to Luffy.'
Shun used the calm fruit on himself as he boldly got out of the room without any noise.
'Oh? I was planning to make some noise and make her come outside but she is already drinking?'
"…Can I have a glass?"

Shun's whisper made Mito's heart jump not from love but out of fear. After seeing who it was she calmed down a bit.
"S-Sorry, was I loud?" Mito asked as she thought she woke him up.
She poured a glass for Shun, as she owns a tavern. They weren't short of a drink and snacks.
"Thanks." Shun accepted and took a sip.
The two sat silently just drinking and eating until…
"You don't want Gon to become a hunter?" Shun asked causing her movement to freeze.
"…He is only twelve." After a long silence, Mito spoke. Which was valid reasoning.
It wasn't really a place for Shun to persuade her to let Gon go, he was just a stranger. So he just sat there and listened to her complaints.
After listening to her for a while Shun got a lot of information about Gon.
'The dumb theories about him were all wrong. There was a theory that Gon is from the Dark Continent or whatever but…'
"My sister was always lonely because Ging never came back…"
'So… Gon is Mito's sister's son.'
"I took Ging to court and took the custody of Gon from him."

'Things are surprisingly more realistic and complicated huh?' Shun was listening to drunk Mito's complaints for an hour.
"But if he succeeds in your little challenge, you'll let him go right?"

Mito turned silent with blushed cheeks from drinking too much.

Suddenly Mito felt dizzy as the wine did its' job and her head almost hit the table but, Shun heroically caught her before the danger. Resulting in the two of them ending up in an easy to misunderstand position.
Shun was sitting opposite her at the table but, he was next to her in the blink of an eye as he caught her body. Normally she would be shocked but now her mind wasn't in the right place.
"Ah, sorry. I think I drank too much. I'll go back to my room, thanks for listening." Mito said with a weak smile.
"I'll take you to your room." Shun said and helped her walk.
If someone who knew Shun saw this they'd be speechless as this was the usual pattern.
'But today will be different.' Shun had his own plans.
"Thanks." Mito muttered as they entered her room. Right when Shun stopped helping her balance herself while walking, she suddenly tripped over nothing and ended up pushing Shun onto the bed while she boldly looked at him from above.
"!" Mito's expression turned tomato colored as she almost sobered up by this accident.
Meanwhile Shun…
'Shiki must be proud of me for using his powers in such creative ways.'
It was him who made Mito trip over nothing and used a little telekinesis just enough to be unnoticeable to result in their current position.
"You're quite bold."
"W-What? It's an accident!" Mito tried to get up but…
"But I'll accept your offer." Shun raised his head just a bit but Mito decisively sealed his lips, surprising herself the most.
Meanwhile Shun thought…

Once the final push was given between two adults there was no stopping them.
Mito is a young woman with fair skin, hazel eyes, and bright orange shoulder-length hair. Due to her wearing baggy clothes, her figure wasn't visible. But now that it was taken off…
'She obviously doesn't have the super physique of the girls from fighting worlds but it has its own charm.' Shun evaluated her as he played around with her body, while Mito tried her best to not make noise.

After only half an hour Mito was knocked out due to her weak body and the alcohol finally finished her off.
Putting her to sleep, Shun sneaked back into his bed with Aisha.
'If she wakes up alone tomorrow, she might start some drama only to get something out of me.'
At exactly 5 AM Shun woke up as a parent of yet another protagonist and made some noise of getting up on purpose so Aisha knows he was here the whole night.
'Seriously, why do I have to act like her husband trying not to get caught cheating…'
After eating breakfast cooked by the awkward Mito, while Gon was clueless, Mito's mother and Aisha had their suspicions.
"All right, I'll definitely catch the master of the swamp today!" Gon determined as he was about to head out for another try.
"Wait." Mito who had been acting awkward and walking with weird steps since morning had a determined face as she went to her room and came back with a fishing rod.
"Use this."

While Shun and Aisha had no clue it seemed to be important for both parties as Gon thanked Mito with a big smile.
"Thank you, Mito-san! Then I'll be on my way."
"Do your best, I'm looking forward to eating that."
Shun told him but joined him with Aisha and watched him fishing from behind.
While Aisha and Gon talked, Shun closed his eyes and focused on something else.
'It's hopeless. I can't use nen, the special power this world uses at all. I had imagined myself to be overflowing with nen as a specialist type but, I guess I need to take the exam after all. So the hunter association can appoint me a nen teacher.' Shun lamented his memory as he didn't remember anything about nen at all, except that the Zetsu thing was for stealth and focusing nen on the eye is called Gyo.
Shun gave up on training on his own and chatted with the two children, Aisha 11 years old and Gon 12 years old.
"Do you want me to swim and catch that thing?" Shun offered as he was laid down on the ground.
"Thanks for the offer but I have to do it myself." Gon refused with a determined smile. He was an honest kid despite having a few loose screws in his head.
After two hours, Shun and Aisha were competing in a race of eating grapes. Suddenly…
"Ah-!"
Gon shouted as he got up with his fishing rod.
It was a weird shaped big red fish that had bitten his bait. Gon jumped up the giant tree nearby and used the thick tree branch as leverage to catch the master of the swamp.
Since it was his challenge, Shun and Aisha just watched.
"I did it!"
To Aisha's shock, Gon with his tiny body succeeded in catching the giant fish.
"This little kid actually did it…" Aisha muttered in shock.

Shun didn't remind her that she was about the same size as him.
"Good job." Shun patted Gon's head already taking up the role of his step father.
After celebrating for a bit, Gon spoke.
"Sorry for troubling you."
Not to Shun but to the red fish.

Then… he released the master of the swamp back into the sea.
"…Why did you release our dinner?" Shun asked.
"He is the master of the swamp, we were selfish to trouble him with our challenge."

Shun had no idea what this kid was blabbering about.

Then he jumped into the sea and caught the red fish that was having an emotional roller coaster. One moment he faces death, then gets released and starts enjoying his freedom for ten seconds only to get caught again.
"!" Gon was shocked by Shun's actions but more surprised by his physical abilities. "You caught a fish in water…"
"I'll cook something with this as a celebration."

Leaving Gon, who was supposed to be the main character of today, Aisha and Shun headed back to eat the big red fish.
They returned to their home.
Due to Shun carrying that large fish on his shoulder everywhere, a rumor spread that Gon had completed his challenge with Mito.
The whale island was very small like Nami's East Blue village. If there was a small argument between people almost every neighbor would come outside to observe. So Mito and Gon's challenge were a hot topic among the citizens.
"Mito-san!" Gon entered the house excitedly while Shun went and started butchering the fish.
Shun used the kitchen with Aisha as if he owned the place.
Soon enough he returned with various dishes, surprising the Gon family.
"It's yum!" The reactions of the family were as expected. But for Shun…
'…It's just a normal fish from the One Piece world. Master of the swamp… is the Dark Continent actually just the Grand Line?' Shun hoped that one of the things that he was looking forward to in this world would not disappoint him.
Regardless the group celebrated despite Mito's complicated mood.

The night came, Mito was drinking again.
Her problem was only Gon until now… but since last night it became two.
'I had always thought my sister was a fool to marry Ging, a man with a profession that doesn't stay in the same place. But…'
Mito lamented as she now had two future hunters to worry about.
"Is this karma for scolding my sister and then Ging after her funeral…" Mito muttered as she sipped the wine.
Mito closed her eyes for about three seconds due to exhaustion but when she opened them, a tall figure with white hair and white pupil was staring at her.
"Did you call me?"

Mito was about to scream and wake everyone up but, her mouth was smoothly covered as she was pulled to sit on his lap.
Once she was calmed down, she was released.
"I didn't call you." Mito said but, she was carried to her room.
After committing a crime, Shun comforted her.
"You don't have to worry about Gon, because I will be with him… at least during the hunter exam."

"I'm more worried about you." After a deep silence and panting, Mito spoke confusing words.
"Me?" Shun asked as he pointed at himself.
"Yeah… I know you are strong." Mito said as her eyes wandered to his muscles then continued. "But I'm worried because I feel like I have to take care of you…"

Shun and even Mito weren't sure what she was trying to say.
After pondering over her words for a full minute, Shun spoke.
"I'm grateful that you are worried about me but I think you should worry about yourself now."
Shun said and lifted her body and turned her around as her back was now facing him.
"W-Wait!"

"So this is the ship that will go to Dolle Harbor?" Gon asked Shun.
"Probably."
Gon, Shun, and Aisha had already left the house after bidding farewell to Mito and her mother. Their goodbyes differed in their own style but each party was now satisfied and could go on without worry.
"But it's a crappy ship huh?" Shun said without a care even when the ship workers and captain were sneakily listening to their conversation.
"You think so? It's my first time on a big ship, I thought it was normal but it was a crappy one…" Gon didn't doubt Shun's words.

The captain was trying to act like an examiner but was a regular guy with no nen ability, so Shun didn't pay much attention to him.
Shun and Aisha went inside the cabin while Gon walked around and made friends. When Shun woke up Gon had Leorio and Kurapika with him.
The two groups awkwardly stared at each other.
"Who are those suspicious people?" Shun asked with a yawn.
"…"
"Who are you calling suspicious?! How can you sleep soundly during the entire storm?" Leorio, the taller and older looking one among Gon's new friends, refuted.
"There was a storm?" Shun asked as he headed out with Aisha.
Gon's group followed him outside too.
After breathing a fresh air, Shun turned to them.
"I'm Shun. Gon's aunt has asked me to take care of him." Shun said and shook the two's hands.
"…I'm Kurapika." The most attractive guy Shun had ever seen in his life introduced himself.
"I'm Leorio."
Surprised by Shun's sudden polite introduction, the group got to know each other.
Suddenly a footstep was heard behind them.
"You guys… why do you want to be a hunter?" It was the captain.
"Huh? It's none of your business." Leorio was really talkative but this time Shun agreed.
"I agree." Kurapika nodded too.
"I have to send the names of eligible candidates. I guess this time there is none then." The captain pulled out some paper and pretended to write something.
"!"
"The hunter exam had already started, brats."
"…"
"I heard the hunter association teaches some kind of power to the people that pass the exam." Shun didn't hide his intent at all but it surprised the other candidates, as they had never heard of something like that.
"I see…" The captain didn't ask anything more, as he wasn't an idiot. He could tell that Shun was dangerous.
"I want to become a blacklist hunter."
"Money, nothing else."
"For me… I want to find my father."
Their answers were the same as the original timeline as Shun hadn't done anything yet in this world so there wouldn't be much change.
"What about you? Little lady." The captain asked Aisha.
"Eh? Am I going to be a hunter too?" Aisha asked for confirmation from Shun.
"Yes." Shun nodded under their eyes.
"Actually I always wanted to be a hunter since I was a kid." Aisha made up some terrible lie.

'Wasn't she a great actor? Couldn't she make up something decent?'
The group was speechless but the captain didn't mind it as he spoke.
"Five people." The captain said and went into the cabin.
'Wasn't there many people from this ship taking the exam in the original timeline?' Shun doubted the fraud captain.
Suddenly… Shun's words seemed to have gained someone's interest.
"Can you tell me what kind of power they teach if you pass the exam?" It was Kurapika.
"Huh? I don't know the details but apparently the pro hunters all have it and it gives supernatural powers."
Shun lately was almost always honest without hiding anything.
"What? Is that legit information?" Leorio asked for confirmation.
"Yes, but if you doubt me just pass the exam."
Shun said and looked into the distance as they were about to get to Dolle Harbor.

After that without any agreement the group of five naturally started travelling together.
'Those small tests are not even worth interfering, I'll leave it to them.' Shun thought and let the group including Aisha handle everything.
Finally… they reached an underground tunnel like place after going down with an elevator.
As soon as they entered, a bunch of people with serious faces numbering around four hundred looked at them for about five seconds before minding their own business.
But a man cosplaying a clown couldn't take his eyes away… the victim of this harassment was unfortunately Shun.
Shun noticed someone staring at him but conveniently ignored him.
Soon, A green bean resembling guy approached them with a professional smile and gave them their badges with numbers.
"I declare the start of the hunter exam. Now then everyone… come this way."
Suddenly a guy that walked in a weird way appeared.
"Let me remind you, the hunter exam is extremely difficult. If you're weak you might even die, only those who understand the risk should follow."
The examiner Satotz led the 407 participants.
Shun and Gon's group of five people stuck together as they jogged lightly.
"You… how old are you?" Suddenly another participant with badge number 99 approached Gon.
Gon was shocked to see a kid taking the hunter exam but replied anyway.
"I'm twelve."
"We're the same age huh?" It was Killua, a white haired kid riding a skateboard.
"I'm Killua, nice to meet you." Killua said to Gon.
Gon nodded and introduced himself too.
Suddenly a voice joined the two kids.
"What a coincidence, I'm also twelve." It was Shun.
"…"
While Killua was at a loss for words.
"Whaat?! You were the same age as me?!" Gon believed him.
"…"
"He is obviously messing around, Gon." Leorio joined the conversation.
"Ah, I see…" Gon rubbed the back of his head.
"But I'm still in my teenage years." Leorio said for no reason.
Cutting Leorio's words were Kurapika. "Take the exam seriously, we're already done with the jokes."
Though he said that, he himself was joking around.
Just like that the group of five became six.
Killua earlier wasn't shocked because of Shun's words instead… the moment Shun arrived, his instincts as an assassin were giving him an alarm to… run.
"But… you two look familiar." Suddenly Gon said something weird.
"Wait, you're right. Are you two lost siblings or something?" Leorio asked as people with white hair were rare.
Killua just ignored it as a joke until Shun spoke.
"I don't know, never met my parents."

'Could it be…? Nah, no way.' Killua stopped his suspicions. The reason behind his confidence was… 'Grandpa and father wouldn't let a guy like this leave our family…'
"…Sorry about asking something inconsiderate." Leorio apologized.
"It's fine. I don't feel insecure about it anymore." Shun waved his hands.
"You're a good guy." Leorio patted Shun on the shoulder and continued. "I don't know if it's even encouragement but I'm also an orphan—" Leorio started a tearjerking story in the middle of the hunter exam but before he could finish Shun continued.
"The only thing it changed within me is probably making me attracted to big breasts."

Leorio who got his emotional story cut before he finished was angry but, he smiled creepily as he started talking about his wild desires.
To Shun's shock, even Kurapika and Killua were interested in the conversation about breasts. They had their cheeks blushed as they paid close attention.
Gon hid it but even he had a blush on his cheek as he listened.
Shun just spoke without thinking too much but, he became the focus of them.
"So… since you're the oldest among us, have you touched a real one?" Killua asked still blushing

The group completely forgot that Aisha was with them.
Aisha looked at them with disgust. Kurapika waved his hands in front of them as he explained that he wasn't like the others.

Soon enough they neared stairs that led to outside.
"Look! Finally…" Leorio was panting hard as he shouted in happiness.
"Pathetic." Aisha commented from Shun's back. Since Aisha was a mage, Shun was carrying her on his back after about an hour into the marathon.

Shun was glad seeing Aisha interacting with kids around her age. The moment he realized what world it was, Shun thought it was a good idea to bring Aisha so she could make friends around her age. Gon and Killua were even prodigies that were similar to her.

They finally left the underground tunnel without any trouble. Only Leorio was delayed a bit but he soon got his motivation back.

The heavy door closed as everyone who hadn't given up came through it.
"Phew-! We made it." Gon sighed in relief with Leorio.
"You won't get down?" Shun asked Aisha.
"…No." Aisha got a bit bold and muttered softly.
"Well, do whatever you want." Shun said as it was him who suddenly brought her, asking her to run a marathon with dangerous traps was a weird request even from Shun.
"Don't believe him! That's not the real examiner!" Suddenly a beaten up guy shouted with a monkey resembling Satotz.
Shun had no intention of showing off for dealing with a threat even weaker than marine captains. So he let things proceed as the original timeline, until the right time.
Soon enough, Satotz started running again. This time through a misty forest.
"So, do you guys have anyone you like?" Suddenly Shun asked the group.
The pro hunters who were watching the participants were speechless by this group of six. It was the damn hunter exam but they kept talking about breasts?
"No, but I have dated a few people." Gon spoke shocking the group. Apparently he dated older women tourists on Whale Island.
After Gon clarified, Killua and Leorio sighed in relief for reasons unknown.
Meanwhile Hisoka was killing people around. This time due to the group following Shun's lead and talking about breasts, they didn't get lost and meet Hisoka.
"If you guys want… later I'll show you something interesting—" before Shun could finish speaking he fell into the mouth of a fat frog with Aisha still on his back.

But Shun came out of the other side of the frog's mouth, making a big hole in the poor frog.
"Are you okay?" Kurapika asked as they now realized there were frogs waiting for food to enter their mouth.
"Yeah but… it's disgusting." Shun complained as there was blood and saliva of the damn frog all over his body.
"Aisha. Grip tightly."
"Yes!"
Though he was planning to not show off too much, he couldn't hold back at this moment.

Shun punched forward with so much strength and speed that the sound came after the punch was fired. It created a strong gale that blew everything from their bodies. Even the misty forest was cleared for a few seconds before going back.
"Kah-! What is this?" The group was shocked by this sudden natural disaster.
"Let's go." Shun said now that his cloth was a bit better than before.

The group stood in shock but had to come back to their senses due to the misty forest.
"S-Shun-san, what was that?!" Kurapika asked doubting his eyes.
"Huh? I told you guys before that I was the fleet admiral right?" Shun replied as if they were the weird ones.
"Does every fleet admiral do that?" Gon asked in shock.
'No way, you idiot.' Killua thought.
The group and the hunter association workers that were watching them now realized that the guy that was talking about breasts the whole time wasn't a regular guy.

Soon they arrived at their destination.
"With this, the first phase of the hunter exam is over. I'll be on my way." Satotz said and left the group with two new examiners.
On a peculiar stage, a woman sat on a sofa while a fat man sat on the ground behind her.
Once everyone gathered in front of the stage, the woman explained.
"The theme of the second phase of the hunter exam is… cooking!"
"!"
Her words caused a ruckus within the group as people protested that cooking doesn't matter in being a hunter, but the examiners didn't care about them.
"Hunt the wild pigs in the forest and make us say delicious with your cooking. If you can do that you pass the exam." The woman named Menchi waved as she got tired of explaining the importance of gourmet hunters.
"Wild pigs?" Leorio asked as he didn't believe they would find pigs in a forest but…
A loud noise of heavy footsteps sounded not far from them.
"R-Run!!" The exam takers scattered in fear, as the wild pigs were more dangerous than they expected. One by one they got stomped until Gon found their weakness.
"Leorio! Hit them in the forehead!"
Shun followed his lead and smoothly caught two pigs, one for Aisha.
'Though not as powerful as the One Piece world people, the guys here are lifting pigs that easily weigh one ton.'
Everyone started roasting their pigs. One by one the examinees went to the examiner.
"Delicious!"
"Disgusting."
"Delicious!!"

While the man was fine with anything, the woman hated everything.
After a while of seeing almost everyone fail, Shun and Aisha started their cooking.
This time Shun didn't help Aisha, it was a good opportunity to test her.
Shun brought his cooking, it was simple pork fried rice.
"What? Where did you find rice?" Leorio asked in shock, he got humiliated a few minutes ago with his roasted pork.
"I work as a part time cook for high rank nobles, so I keep some food always in my bag." Though Shun said my bag, he pointed to Aisha's bag. He wasn't lying about being a part time cook either, he gets a lot of missions from high ranking nobles even from kings of various countries to cook for them. He just doesn't accept them.
'The grand magic games confirmed it… I'm more known for being a cook that made SHFC than being a wizard.' Shun sighed as he approached the examiners.
Though Shun felt a bit offended about his cooking being tested, he was also a bit interested in the woman examiner. As she was a single star gourmet hunter, which meant she had some impressive achievement in her field.
Shun presented the two bowls on the table for the examiners.
"Oh? Finally some good fucking food." The woman became bad mouthed after tasting terrible foods for a while.
Right before they were about to take a bite, Shun warned them.
"I'll say it beforehand…"
"Huh?"
"I'll not cook for you guys again."
"…What do you mean by that?" Menchi was previously liking the appearance of both Shun and his food but, now her bad side was about to show up.
'Even if it's decent, I'll fail you for talking to me like that!' She thought.
While the other examiner who was a big man about the size of Big Mom took a bite and fell silent.
"Huh? Isn't that guy approved every food instantly before?"
The silent fat examiner turning silent gained everyone's attention. But…
Drip. Drip.
The man, Buhara cried as he ate as if his life was on the line.
"…"
"Hey, Buhara! What's wrong?" Even Menchi was shocked as her partner was a pig that loved every food.
After finishing his bowl, the man finally spoke.
"It's… the taste of my mom's cooking."
"…"
"Ha? Aren't you an orphan like me?" Menchi asked.
"Yeah but… I think if I had a mother it would taste like this."
"…"
"Can I have a bit more?" Buhara asked as he wiped his tears but…
"No." Shun doesn't talk lightly, at least that's how he thinks of himself. He already said he won't cook again beforehand as he expected them to ask for more.
Buhara stood up and asked respectfully again and even bowed his head only to be refused cruelly.
Though she knew it was good already as she was a cook herself, she still doubted it. Only to end up in the same situation as Buhara.
"It's… the taste of my dad's cooking."

Just like that, Shun alone passed the second phase. After a few minutes, to their happiness they tasted Aisha's cooking.
"All right, the second phase is over. Only two people passed." Menchi declared as she rubbed her belly.
'No way, I want to dirty my stomach with their foods now.'

Everyone turned silent as it was too ridiculous, they were going to fail the hunter exam because they couldn't cook? They weren't here to become chefs or housewives!
Shun broke the silence as he spoke to the group of friends he made.
"…It was good knowing you guys, but people that can't pass the hunter exam have no right to be my friends. Good luck next year." Shun waved to the shocked group.
"…"
"T-This guy… let me punch him." Leorio cracked his knuckles but was held back by Kurapika and Gon who cared about his life more than Leorio himself.
Crash-!
A fat wrestler guy suddenly broke the wall as he complained angrily but he ended up getting slapped by Buhara.
But the argument didn't stop as even Hisoka pulled out his cards.
Suddenly Shun looked to the sky as a weird plane was flying above them, and it carried a man that was quite strong.
Suddenly… the old man jumped from the plane directly hitting the ground creating a big crater.
Crash-!
'Is he copying Kaido?' Shun thought while the old man Netero observed him curiously.
'…Such a strong life force from a regular man that doesn't know nen…' Netero was honestly shocked to see Shun, as he was the only one that noticed him from the start.
"C-Chairman?!" Suddenly Buhara and Menchi dropped to one knee respectfully.
"Hohoho, it seems there is a problem." Netero spoke as if he wasn't watching the whole thing from the sky in his plane.
After a bit of scolding, Menchi admitted.
"I got a bit upset after seeing them disrespect gourmet hunters… I don't deserve to be an examiner."
"Umu, it's good that you admitted your mistakes. Then let's change the content of phase two a bit, this time you join the exam too."
Netero said to Menchi.
"Yes…"

After two hours… most of the examinees passed the new test.
"Good job on passing the round." Shun gave the guys a thumbs up.
"…"
"…Didn't you say people that can't pass the exam can't be your friend?" Killua asked a bit upset.
"So? Didn't you guys pass now?"

Shun's logic was flawless, though they felt frustrated they just accepted it after some time.
"Everyone that passed phase two, board the plane. We will directly go to phase three." A green bean like guy announced with a smile.
'Is this guy an alien or what? Why is no one questioning it?' Shun thought but eventually decided to ignore him like everyone else.

After half an hour the examinees boarded the plane and it was back to flying again.
The examinees' number had dropped from a total of 407 to just 44.
The group of six had gathered again, they decided to forget about Shun's cruel joke earlier. Currently they were inside a small room with two beds, but they used the beds as a sofa and talked.
"Shun, can you tell us how you did that earlier?" Kurapika asked with a serious face.
While Gon and Leorio almost forgot, the power hungry Kurapika and Killua still were curious about it.
"Which one?"
"…"
"The punch that you threw in the misty forest…" Kurapika clarified.
"Oh, that's just a punch. Not a supernatural power or anything." Shun explained honestly, he didn't use anything earlier.
"That can't be true! Just say it if you don't want to tell us." Killua started words that sounded like sulking.
"I didn't lie, that's just how I am."

The group was still silent, Shun sighed and told them to grab his skin.
"Try to hurt my skin."
"W-What?" Leorio asked in surprise but, Shun insisted just punch or stab him. Without a choice, Leorio struck Shun's hand with a wooden stick only to witness the stick break.
"!"
"Aisha, give me a knife."
"Yes!"
Shun wanted to prove and show off a bit. He took the knife and stabbed his stomach.
Clang-!

To their shock the knife broke in half, even after it broke Shun kept stabbing himself until the poor knife ended up with no blade at all.
"As you can see, at least physically I am the strongest in the world."

It was an arrogant claim but they couldn't refute it anymore after witnessing it with their own eyes.
While the group was still shocked Aisha crawled around and cleaned the broken blade of the knife.
The group was still silent as Shun's shameless bragging about Big Mom's iron balloon skin was too shocking.
Shun sighed and broke the silence.
"It's a secret but I'll tell you guys this."
"Eh?" Gon asked curiously.
"The supernatural power that the professional hunters use is apparently even deadlier than my strength."
"!"
"Well, it depends on the user." Shun added making Kurapika's excitement calm down.
"So just focus on passing the exam first."
Shun closed the topic about strength that was making them insecure.
Then he spoke again…
"But that woman named Menchi… she was quite something." Shun smiled which brought a smile on Leorio's face.
"Yeah, I agree!" Leorio said meanwhile…
"She is only good to the eyes but her personality… she is a witch." Killua talked big.
After talking for a while Shun and Aisha went to sleep, while Gon and Killua walked around and ended up playing dodgeball with Netero.

Next day… the examinees were dropped on a big building.
"Get to the first floor from this tower in 72 hours. That's all for the third phase of the exam." The green bean guy said and left with Netero, at least in the eyes of everyone else, but they would follow and keep watching as it was the first decent hunter exam with capable examinees in years. They wanted to keep watching it.
Suddenly the 44 were left on the roof of the trick tower.
After waiting for half an hour…
Aisha looked at Shun for an answer as they could just fly or Shun could just jump to the bottom.
"Aisha. Sorry but go alone this time." Shun suddenly said and sent her through a secret door of one of the roof tiles.
"!"
"Where did little Aisha go?" Leorio asked in worry.
"She found a secret door. We'll go with one too." Shun said and purposefully rigged things so they would go through their original route.
Only this time Shun was switched with Tonpa's place.
'Aisha entered a free pass tile, even if there was a problem… she is a little monster so she should be fine.'
After entering through five different secret roof tiles, as Shun had rigged it the group found themselves in one room.
Suddenly the monitor in the room lightened up.
The examiner explained the majority rules, which was that from now every decision of them must take votes of everyone's opinion.
After going through a few small traps, the group found themselves in front of a big field with five prisoners.
"You guys have to compete with each other, first to win three rounds wins the challenge." The examiner with small eyes and glasses explained the rules.
"Killua go first." Shun unanimously became the leader of the group as he had already gained their respect with the perverted conversations, also he had the strength.
"?"
Though surprised, Killua went first and ended up taking the heart out of the former soldier turned criminal with 150 years of prison time.
After that Kurapika and Leorio went in… the result was Kurapika won and Leorio lost after some drama.
"Now we only need one win!" Gon said and turned to Shun.
"I'll go next!" He said cheerfully.
Which Shun agreed and gave him a thumbs up but, on the other side it seemed to have angered a dangerous guy of their team. As the guy that was originally supposed to be killed by Killua was planning to go next.
"…Let me go." A deep voice that had the stench of madness in it spoke shocking the other three prisoners as one of them had died in the first round.
"It won't even be a match." Jones the dissector spoke as he entered the field.
'…I guess it's too dangerous for Gon. It might be even dangerous for the current Kurapika.' Shun sighed and pulled Gon back and entered the field himself.
"Hey! That's my turn!" Gon protested but, he was silenced by Leorio.
"Leave it to Shun, that's Jones the dissector. One of the worst criminals in history." Seeing Leorio's serious face, Gon stopped struggling as he nodded.
On the square field, Shun and Jones stood silently. Both of them were feeling the same thing… they didn't care about this silly competition.
"…I'll tear you off. Flesh by flesh." Jones spoke making only Leorio and his own teammates of prisoners nervous.
"!"
To Jones' shock Shun stretched his hand out for a handshake.
'If Big Mom ever trained herself, she'd be the pirate king.' Shun began to think like this ever since acquiring Big Mom's physique.
After clearing his shock, Jones accepted the handshake and grabbed Shun's hand. Then he applied pressure… he had the most confidence in his grip strength as he used it to murder countless people. His prison sentence was too long that even if he had won this silly game that would reduce his sentence by 72 years, even if he won it ten times he would still rot to death in prison.

Suddenly a horrifying sound echoed in the silent field, it came from their handshake.
"Agh—!!" To only the prisoners and Leorio's shock it was Jones who was screaming in pain.

Once again it echoed… the sound of a bone breaking.
For nearly a minute the cracking sound and a man's scream echoed loudly. Until…

Shun's hand tore off Jones' hand with the handshake.
"Did you want to compare grip strength?" Shun originally disliked melee fighting as he didn't like the disgusting feeling of blood and flesh touching his body but…
'Ever since the day with the hydra incident, I feel like I'm becoming a bit unhinged. Or is this the real me?' Shun had noticed his small changes in personality but, he no longer cared as he threw the dirty brutalized hand of Jones to the ground.
Since he didn't want to act too brutal in front of children…
"Here you go." Shun lifted and threw Jones off from the field. Below them was a bottomless pit.
"Nice one, Shun!" To everyone's shock Gon smiled widely as he gave him a thumbs up.
'This kid really has a few screws loose in his head.' Shun nodded and went to the next phase. Since this time they had Shun.
Shun didn't want to spend 50 hours, which was a penalty of Leorio's loss, in waste so he just broke the walls and entered the room where the people that passed the third phase were waiting.
Breaking the wall was a breach of rules but, seeing Shun's strength, the examiner especially approved it.

After it, the story followed the original timeline until they arrived before the final phase.
Though Gon was getting beaten up by Hisoka in phase 4, Shun turned a blind eye as it would work as character development for him.
The eleven examinees that reached the final stage rode Netero's plane once again.
"There will be interviews with each one of you before the final phase." The green bean guy announced through the speaker, his voice echoed inside the whole plane.
One by one the examinees got interviewed by Netero himself.
"First, why do you want to be a hunter?" Netero asked Shun as it was his turn now.
"I want to learn nen, and hopefully use it to find and kill a guy that is hiding."
"…"
Shun's honest words made even Netero momentarily speechless.
"I heard a rumor that the hunter association teaches a supernatural power to people that pass the exam."
"…I see." Netero said as he noted down his words.
"Which of the other ten applicants are you keeping an eye on?" Netero continued with the interview.
"99, 405 and 406. Because they're like my children."
"…"
Netero was at a loss for words once again, then fake coughed and continued.
"Which of the other ten applicants would you least want to fight?"
"99, 405, 406, 404 and 403." Shun answered, it was all the badge numbers of his little group of friends.
"By the way, put me against 301." Shun said while Netero was taking notes.
"Huh? We haven't even come up with the plan for the final phase." Netero smiled.
"All right, nice job. You're excused."

The interview ended.
After Shun left… Netero was now sure.
"A monster is on the rise. Should we allow him to learn nen or not…" Netero pondered as he played around with his pen and notes.
"…Well, with his talent he will learn it someday." Sometimes even if hunters passed the exam, they didn't always send teachers that would teach them nen.

Next day… the group finally arrived at a luxurious hotel reserved by the hunter association.
Inside a big hall, Netero stood before hunters as he dramatically revealed a bracket of names.
"This is… how the final phase will go." Netero declared as he took the curtain off a whiteboard.

Seeing the group's surprise, Netero smiled and explained further.
"…The final test is one on one battle."
"This bracket… does this mean only one person will pass the hunter exam?" Leorio asked worriedly, there were already three people in his friend group that were monsters and there was Hisoka too.
"No. The opposite." Netero smiled.
"Only one person will fail, if you lose the match you will keep battling until either you win or become the only one failing the exam."
"To win, just make your opponent admit defeat. Killing your opponent will result in a failure and everyone else will pass the exam."
It was an unusual but easy to understand test.
Perhaps it was because Shun was one of the two people that passed the initial test of Menchi's cooking test. He was the first one to fight even before Gon as he had the chance to fight at least 5 times, meaning he just had to win one out of five fights to qualify.
'This old man really listened to my request huh.' Shun's favorability towards Netero increased as the first match was…
"First match! Shun vs Gittarackur!" One of the staff from the hunter association in black suit and sunglasses announced.
"You're going to fight that weirdo?" Killua commented not noticing his own brother.
"Good luck." While Kurapika just wished him luck…
"Hey just remember that, if you kill the guy you'll fail the exam." Leorio reminded him of the rules.

Shun just nodded to the cheers and backseating from Leorio and went to the field. Which was just a square area about the size of a basketball field.
When Shun looked at his opponent… it was a suspicious looking guy that behaved like a puppet controlled by a string.
He looked like a bizarre man with a large rounded head, pale skin, and mohawk-styled hair. His most noticeable feature was the collection of large round-headed needles sticking out all over his face and skull.
"Start!" The staff rang a bell as a sign to start the match.
'…Now then how will this go?' Netero was unusually excited to see…
'…Can a monster with unprecedented talent beat a professional Zoldyck family assassin with nen ability?'
Netero and all the examiners from phase 1 to phase 4 were present. They stood with the other examinees surrounding the square battlefield.

As soon as the start sign was given, an eerie and creepy aura oozed out of Gittarackur.
Inside the field, Shun spoke noticing the unusual.
"Hey, am I being crazy because no one seems to find it odd…"
"Huh?" A surprised voice came from Gittarackur who was just about to throw nen needles.
'He picked it up?! What a fearsome instinct…' Netero praised Shun in his mind but…
"…Why do you have a bunch of needles stabbed all over your body?"

Hearing Shun's question, Gittarackur smiled creepily. Then… he turned to the spectators.

One by one he removed the needles, looking at Killua.
"Kil… long time no see." Gittarackur spoke with a smooth innocent voice now that all the nen needles stabbed in his body were removed, his real identity as Illumi Zoldyck was revealed.

Killua who had been trash talking about Gittarackur's appearance earlier was now trembling in fear until…
Crash-!
Out of nowhere, Illumi who revealed his real identity was sent flying to the wall. Crashing the wall and going to the next room.

"I hit him because he was ignoring me when the match started… was that bad?" Shun looked at the black suited referee.
"N-No, that was a legal move." The referee explained as the room turned silent until Aisha started clapping and cheering.

Illumi came back without any embarrassment or shame. He wasn't built like that, but he did feel a bit of anger.

Illumi Zoldyck released his nen ability. Due to guarding Shun's punch in the last moment with nen and Shun didn't use nen and it was just a raw punch he didn't suffer much damage.
It was a dark purplish creepy aura, resembling Shun and Acnologia's magic power. Shun could feel there was something releasing from Illumi's body but couldn't see. So he just continued staring.
Out of nowhere, in a speed untraceable by most people in the room, Illumi threw his nen needles to Shun's body but…

It all fell to the ground after making contact with Shun's skin.
"…Am I being paranoid or is there something coming out of your body?" Completely ignoring the attacks Shun asked a question, shocking the nen users.
Nen aura wasn't visible like Haki but, it could be felt if one was familiar with them but Shun shouldn't be at least from what they knew.
Despite being surprised a bit, Illumi decided to shoot the needles with more nen this time… only to get the same result.
Once again ignoring the attacks Shun asked.
"But… are you a boy or a girl? I want to attack but that long hair and facial features make me hesitate…" Shun shrugged his shoulders.
"Pfft-!" Hisoka covered his mouth after getting glared by Illumi.
'Didn't you already attack him?!' Gon's group thought but, it seems even Illumi had his limits of patience. This time he went for a nen infused punch.
Smack—!
Illumi's fist smoothly landed on Shun's cheek sending him flying a few steps back.
"…"
Gon's group wasn't sure whether to worry about him or not. They looked at Aisha for an answer but… she wasn't even phased.
"!"
Suddenly… a shockwave of raw, unfiltered dread rippled out from the room, bursting through the hotel walls and tearing across the sky.

'…Did it really work?!' Shun was surprised himself at this result.
The overwhelming aura that came out of his body was even visible to regular people… it was nen!
"…Did he provoke him to forcefully open his aura nodes?" Netero muttered in surprise.
'But this amount… how scary. However it's a bit surprising that his aura doesn't have any malice.' Netero had been observing Shun's ruthless nature so he expected it to be a creepy color like Illumi's.
Shun was previously troubled by himself being unable to learn nen alone. Whenever he tried to feel that unfamiliar power, a haki or magic power surged out instead of the nen. It was similar to just trying to fart but other things end up coming out.
So… he decided to use the method Chimera Ants used. Just get hit with a nen infused punch to get his aura nodes awakened.
'I was planning to get punched by either Hisoka or Menchi who had been asking me to cook for a while but, since I got the chance already why not use it?'
Shun's aura nodes opening meant his nen was currently being aggressively released, if he didn't stop it soon he'd get tired quickly. Much like the haki and magic power.

Shun took a deep breath and masterfully calmed down his nen as it now enveloped his body.
'Well, Killua and Gon did it on their first try. It's not something to brag.'
"Phew-!" Leorio got up from the floor finally as the terrifying invisible weight on them lifted.
Shun conveniently ignored the clown cosplayer that was giving him weird glares and played around with his newly acquired source of power called nen.
Illumi observed curiously as he considered forfeiting.
'This guy is using me to train, I don't like it. I have no chance to win if I'm not allowed to kill him, and from what I've seen this guy isn't the type to admit defeat…' Illumi sighed and was about to forfeit but, just when he was about to speak… Shun moved.

'When did this guy come here?' Illumi looked at Shun's punching motion and used a cross guard with his arms crossed with nen added as well.
'Did he use Zetsu? He should've just got his aura nodes opened, did he learn it now?!' Illumi wasn't the only one shocked by this, as the examiners, Hisoka and Netero were having their moments too.
Shun cancelled his Zetsu which was the stealth ability of nen and imbued his fist with nen and threw a punch toward Illumi which he guarded but…
CRASH-!
He was sent flying through the wall. He didn't stop there. He kept flying from the impact, after flying for ten kilometers with his arms still crossed Illumi came to his senses and used his own nails against the next building he would meet to hang on them to finally stop his little journey.

Meanwhile back on Shun's side.
'I don't remember the name but it's the move Gon and probably Uvogin used, just using every nen I know into my fist.'
"Y-You bastard, I reminded you not to kill him." Leorio complained, more upset about Shun being disqualified now than Illumi's death.
To Leorio's worry… Shun replied with facts.
"It's fine. I'll just take Aisha's hunter license."

Shun was honest even in front of Netero, the hunter association chairman.
"…He isn't dead." The one who replied to Leorio wasn't Shun but Killua.
"He wouldn't die that easily." Killua spoke while trembling a bit.
"Killua…" Gon muttered worriedly, as Killua was a bit off ever since Illumi removed his needles.

Shun walked over and patted Killua's head, surprising everyone.
"Are you being blackmailed by that guy? Should I go finish him off after all?" Shun asked with a kind smile, at least what he thought was a kind smile.

Before Killua could reply as he was caught off guard by Shun's kindness, Illumi came back.
This time Shun didn't bother with nen instead… he pulled out a gun from his pocket.

Shun was shocking the poor people gathered today a lot.

He aimed it at Illumi. Right when he was about to shoot it.
"W-Wait!" Killua shouted but at the same time Illumi raised his hands.

Though the first round was too suspenseful the referee blew his whistle regardless.
"Winner of the first round, Shun!"
"Congrats!" Gon came for a high five, not questioning the weird ability Shun awakened. But, others were full of questions but…
"Next round! Pokkle vs Aisha!" The referee announced.
"Ah, it's little Aisha's turn. Just give up if that bastard dares to attack you." Leorio was full of worries but Aisha ignored him and went for her fight.
Aisha had a wooden sword as she was prohibited from using magic.
"Start!" As soon as the match began, Aisha dodged the arrow of Pokkle's bow and closed the distance. Despite looking like fodder, Pokkle fought back fiercely but, after being pinned down by a girl much younger than himself, Pokkle couldn't take the humiliation and forfeited.
'I taught her magic but in the original timeline she was a magic knight, well she is an all rounded talent.'
"Gon vs Hanzo!"
Gon got beaten up the whole time but ended up winning like the original.
Gon was sent to an emergency aid room.
"Next! Leorio vs Bodoro!"
"Killua, let's talk outside." Though it was bad for Leorio, Shun took Killua outside.
"…What did you want to talk about?" Killua asked once they got outside in fresh air.
"I thought you just had a trauma or something but… after awakening nen I can tell."
"Huh?"
"You're under manipulation of some kind of ability."

"W-What do you mean by that?!" Killua didn't doubt his words but couldn't fully believe it either.
"Just trust me." Shun said and touched his forehead and… stopped the time in the radius of a hundred kilometers.
'A needle placed in his brain huh? If I had Law's ability it'd be easy.' Shun sighed and tried to pull the needle out but…

Killua stared at the nen needle in shock. He was silent for nearly five minutes until Shun broke the silence.

Kurapika was surprisingly doing a lot of damage to Hisoka once his eyes turned red.

However the two couldn't focus on their fight, because someone was backseating their fight. Even Kurapika's eyes turned normal.
"Kah-!" Distracted Kurapika got hit in the stomach and fell down.
Seeing him fall and the blame might come to him, Shun left the room with Aisha.

"Yes!" Aisha replied as she was feeding Shun grapes she got from the hunter association staff.
"Rudeus invited us to his wedding, there's also Cliff's wedding soon. Let's return for a few days and come back here after getting our license." Shun informed her of the plans, to which she just nodded.
Since there was nothing else to do, Shun started practicing his nen. He just released his nen and enveloped his body, then used Zetsu for stealth. He had no clue what he was doing but assumed repeating it would probably help it grow like a muscle.
"Can I use that power too?" Aisha asked.
"Probably, but not now. The way I awakened is too dangerous for you. Let's just leave that for later when we get a teacher."

When the two re-entered the room, Kurapika was beating up Bodoro. While Pokkle was already defeated by Killua. The final match was Pokkle vs Bodoro, in which Pokkle ended up losing.
'Isn't this guy that fed nen to Chimera Ants? Did I change the future too much?'
Kurapika didn't blame Shun for his loss, apparently even being distracted was his own mistake.
After the final exam was over, except for Pokkle everyone was now a pro hunter.
"Cheers!" Though it was bad for the unconscious Gon, everyone else from the group celebrated in his room while he was unconscious.
"What will you guys do once you leave here?" Leorio asked then replied to his own answer first.
"For me, I'll study and become a doctor." It was a surprisingly realistic goal.
"We'll go to Heavens Arena and train my nen by fighting some people." Shun replied.
"That sounds like a good plan, maybe I'll go too." Killua spoke after stealing a glance at Gon.
When it came to Kurapika's turn he turned silent.
"I'll avenge my clan and find their lost eyes."

"Well, good luck. I was a bit of an avenger myself just recently, so I have no plans of persuading you otherwise."

Shun's words surprised them, as they thought this guy probably just plays around all the time.
