Lucian's POV
I sat next to him, my legs hanging over the stone cliff. The mild sound of water from the falls filled the air, cold and soothing. No wonder it was his favorite place to be, his own territory.
I looked at him, but he had his eyes fixed somewhere far into the oblivion, his irises changing colors between red and pitch black. The muscles in his jaw clenched, trying to resist the urge of bloodlust.
"Give me your hand," I said, pulling out a tiny box that held the syringe. But I didn't wait for him and held his hand myself in a firm grip.
The moment the tip of the syringe pricked his skin, he closed his eyes shut and clenched his fists. Whatever content this drug held, it was lethally addictive to his senses.
By the time I emptied the syringe, he inhaled deeply, his body trembling as the drug spread through his senses.
"The more you give it to me, the more I am getting addicted to it," he said through gritted teeth. "Soon this much won't be enough for me."
