Kaidon only smiled. He knew she was so immersed in her reading that she didn't hear when he came in.
"You scared me," she spoke, placing her hand on her chest, trying to calm her racing heart.
"Sorry. I forgot something and came to pick it up. But you were so immersed in your reading that you didn't notice I came back," he said, still maintaining his smile.
Wondering what she was reading that made her completely forget herself, he was about to look down, but Lydia quickly picked up the book and hid it behind her. Unknown to her, he had already seen it.
"What are you hiding?" he asked playfully, moving forward, and she moved back.
"Nothing… Get what you want and leave," she spoke calmly, and he chuckled.
"Let me see it," he pressed, and she kept moving back. She knew he wasn't supposed to read someone's diary, but she had gotten curious, and now she had been caught red handed.
She kept moving back while he kept moving towards her until her back was now against the wall.
