Synopsis
Genre: Psychological Thriller · Idol Industry · Power Struggle · Hidden Identity · Dark Drama # bl special E-mail - [email protected] This story is set around a huge survival show that is being created to form a new global idol group. The show lasts for four months, and the contestants live together while training, performing, and competing. At the end, only eight members will be chosen. The main character is Yan, who is 27 but enters the show pretending to be 22. He is already a talented singer and secretly works under the stage name AJ. He does not join the show because he wants to become an idol. He has another reason for being there. Yan's mother owns a major entertainment company, and she wants Jun, a very successful independent singer, to join her company. Jun has refused to sign with any company for years because he wants to continue his career independently. Yan's mother asks Yan to find a way to convince Jun to sign, even if he has to use Jun's weakness against him. Yan already has a bad impression of Jun. He thinks Jun is arrogant, rude, and difficult to deal with. After finding out that Jun will be involved in the survival show, Yan decides to enter secretly so he can stay close to him and understand him better. At first, Yan only sees Jun as part of his mother's mission. But spending so much time together slowly changes that. Yan starts seeing a different side of Jun and realizes that the person he judged from the beginning is not exactly who he thought he was. His feelings also start changing, even though love was never part of his plan. Jun is a quiet person who doesn't talk much and prefers having a peaceful life. He is an excellent singer and dancer and has built his career by himself. He loves his family, especially his two younger brothers, even though he has chosen not to take over the family business. Jun's mother wants him to join the business, but he has always found a way to avoid it. His second brother, Lee, is 27 and has taken on much of the responsibility that Jun refused. Lee manages the family business and also has his own agency. He is smart, responsible, and very good at business. He is also already in a relationship with Mingji, who has been his partner for more than five years. Mingji is a talented rapper and singer. He is more outgoing and playful than Lee and can be quite clumsy and emotional. Lee is the person he feels safest with, and their relationship is already strong when the story begins. The youngest brother is William, who is 19. He is spoiled, impulsive, playful, and sometimes says things without thinking. He has always wanted to become an idol, but his mother sent him abroad to study because she did not want another son to enter the entertainment industry. After getting an opportunity through an audition, William secretly comes to Korea and joins the survival show without knowing that his brothers are also connected to it. There is also Ryan, Yan's 29-year-old older brother. Ryan is one of the mentors and producers involved in the survival show. He is cold, blunt, serious, and not someone who easily gets close to people. His story becomes connected with William, creating another relationship that neither of them expected. The interesting part is that none of the families know the whole situation. Jun's mother knows Jun is involved with the show, but she does not know that Lee and William are there too. Yan's mother knows Yan has been given the task of getting Jun's contract, but she does not know that Yan has secretly entered the show himself. As the four months continue, the characters have to deal with the competition while also dealing with their families, careers, relationships, and the things they are keeping from each other. Yan has to decide whether he still wants to complete the mission he was given, especially after his feelings for Jun become real. The story mainly follows Yan and Jun, but Lee and Mingji and William and Ryan also have their own relationship stories.

Chapter 1: Before the Storm

The roar of engines echoed across the private track as Jun and Lee raced neck-and-neck. Both leaned hard into the curve, fighting for the lead, their motorcycles almost brushing shoulders.

In the end, Jun cut ahead and stopped at the finish line, raising his helmet with a cocky grin.

"Same result as always," he called.

Lee pulled up next to him, panting slightly, glaring through his helmet visor. "You only won because I was being nice."

Jun laughed. "Sure. Keep saying that."

Back at their villa, the mood was relaxed. They sat outside on the terrace, overlooking the city, eating lunch in silence. That was until the courier came—an envelope in gold seal, heavy with meaning.

Jun opened it first, eyes scanning the contents.

"Hunter Shark," he muttered. "Survival show. Judging panel."

Lee gave him a sideways glance. "Planning to accept?"

Jun stared at the envelope a little longer, then shrugged. "Honestly… never. Even I don't want to think about it . ..

Just then, Jun's phone rang. His face dropped.

"Mom," he sighed, answering.

"Jun," came the cold voice on the other end. "Your brother already refused. You're next. Join the company now."

"_"

What !

Jun glanced over at Lee, who looked absolutely done with life. Still holding his spoon, Lee simply stood up, took his lunch plate like it was a sacred object, and walked off toward the kitchen—no words, no explanation.

Jun turned back to the phone. "Mom, I already accepted a judging role. Four months and huh ...Contract signed."

His mother's tone sharpened. "Stop running. One day, you'll have to step in."

"I will. Just… not today," Jun replied, waving his hand like she could see him.

"You think you can play idol forever? The company can't wait for you."

Jun sighed loudly. "Mom, I'm married to my career. Besides, the contract's done. If I cancel now, your lawyers will cry before I do. So please... don't call me for four months."

He paused for dramatic effect. "Hello? Hello? Huh? Oh NO...:/ Signal's weak—hello?"

Then he casually hung up and shoved the phone in his pocket. "Problem solved."

From across the house, Jun shouted, "LEEEEEEEEEEE!"

You ..

Lee peeked out from the hallway, rubbing his temples. "Don't yell. What now?"

"_"

Jun smirked. "I'm leaving you all the business stress. Bye-bye, see you in four months."

"You're unbelievable ! Not my business," Lee muttered, disappearing again.

"It 's be soon just watch my dear brother"

Jun grinned to himself. Then he turned toward the front door and, at full volume, shouted like it was a public broadcast:

> "MING-JIIIIII!! YOU WANNA JOIN HUNTER SHARK? OH, YOU GOT AN INVITE TOO? WOW, WHAT A COINCIDENCE!"

"Cause close to next door all there conversation lee hearing"...

Ming-Ji appeared from the hallway, clearly startled. "Bro, why are you yelling? People sleep, you know!"

"Oh, come on. Don't lie—you were awake the second you heard survival show," Jun teased. "You're coming with me."

"No, I'm not," Ming-Ji said, trying to retreat. "I'm not leaving Lee like this. He's already dying under deadlines!"

Jun's eyes sparkled with mischief. "If you don't come… I might accidentally tell Mom about those videos you hid in 2019."

Hmm.. think again...lalala

Ming-Ji froze, dramatically clutching his chest. "…You monster."

"Pack your bags."

Outside the villa, Jun was already acting like they were celebrities headed to war.

> "So, brooo! This means no home for four months, right? Oh, we're basically married now!"

Ming-Ji, dragging his luggage with a half-crying face, muttered, "Okay, okay! I'm coming! Stop talking like I had a choice!"

Meanwhile, Lee stood at the balcony, silently watching them. His phone buzzed again—this time, from the company's legal department.

His assistant showed up right behind him. "Sir, we need to be at the office in 15min."

Lee's shoulders slumped. "I'm surrounded by traitors."

As Ming-Ji waved goodbye, guilt flashing across his face, Lee turned away quietly and left with the assistant. He said nothing. He didn't have to his sad eyes said everything.

 Let the countdown begin.

This… is Hunter Shark.
