Chapter 298: The Killing King Cannot Fall
The Killing King renewed his slaughter of the Clear Sky Clan's disciples. Wherever his crimson Slaughter Domain went, no one survived; their bodies were torn apart, and their blood siphoned into the Slaughter Domain, leaving only dried corpses.
"Damn it!"
Tang Xiao, Tang Hao, and the clan Elders, seeing the Killing King slaughtering so many clan disciples (including younger members of the Tang family), gazed upon the growing number of mummified remains and were seething with anger.
"Uncles, Brother Hao, Grandfather is peerless under the heavens. Even relying on physical strength alone, he can unleash such terrifying power. We can't hold back any longer. Otherwise, by the time we awaken him, the Clear Sky Clan might be in ruins, our people annihilated by him!"
The Clear Sky Elders and Tang Hao all nodded.
"Tool Spirit Avatar!"
Tang Xiao activated his seventh spirit ring. His weapon spirit avatar flared, and the Clear Sky Hammer in his hand expanded wildly, its head growing to the size of a small hill. Yet, only Tang Xiao used his avatar technique – Tang Hao's Killing God Domain range simply wasn't large enough for more.
"Vast Heaven Nine Absolutes – Break!"
"Vast Heaven Nine Absolutes – Seal!"
Tang Xiao, Tang Hao, and several clan Elders joined forces. Three of them cast the 'Seal' of the Nine Absolutes to restrict the Killing King's movement, while Tang Xiao, wielding his hill-sized hammer, smashed it down. Two of the Elders plus Tang Hao struck the back of Tang Xiao's hammer, adding more force to the blow.
At once, the Killing King raised the Shura Demon Sword to meet this strike.
Boom!
A massive crash sent the Killing King hurtling hundreds of meters downward, from halfway up the mountain straight to the foot, forming a deep pit upon impact. His tall body gushed blood; both sets of wings were shredded, and his right arm holding the Shura Demon Sword hung twisted. Even the Slaughter Domain was on the brink of collapse.
"So much power. Am I—the Killing King—about to die here?"
He could have swapped with Tang Chen, returning the body to him. But the clan's martial spirit and the Tang family were obviously from here. If the real Tang Chen returned to his senses, those people would surely cooperate to destroy the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King parasite for good.
As the Slaughter Domain slowly faded, much of the blood it contained showered down, drenching the surrounding hundred meters and splashing all over the Killing King.
"Blood…"
Catching that tangy scent, the Killing King instinctively stuck out his tongue to lick the fresh blood at his lips. He recalled the "heavenly" life he'd enjoyed all this time.
Since the establishment of the Slaughter City, the Blood-Red Nine-Headed Bat King had been trapped in the Hell Road by the Shura God, forced to serve like the Ten-Headed Fiery Sun Snake. There, it was stripped of freedom, bound to produce fresh blood. At least in the Slaughter City, it could feast, but it was destined to become a stepping stone for the next Shura God candidate.
Not until it seized Tang Chen's body did the parasite truly taste the life of a king. Drinking blood at will, reigning like a lofty monarch, receiving the worship of countless fallen, along with endless human maidservants.
Human female servants, truly intelligent creatures – far more entertaining than female bats!
Now, all of it was destroyed by these "lowly beings" of the Clear Sky Clan. Its citizens, its maids, all perished under the blood's backlash. The King itself was poisoned, its blood ever evaporating, forcing it to replenish continually.
A genuine Shura God – it never dared challenge. But Tang Hao? Just a crippled Spirit Saint with no right arm? Could it not avenge itself? Tang Hao destroyed its kingdom, murdered its subjects and maids, left it poisoned and suffering. As the Slaughter King, how could it die from mere injuries?! The Killing King couldn't go down!
"Aaaargh—!"
With a roar, the Killing King summoned his iron will, pushing his grievously wounded body to re-release the Slaughter Domain. His blood-red eyes ignited again, drawing in the spilled blood from all around. That blood was all absorbed by the domain and funneled back into his body, rapidly healing his injuries. The twisted arm snapped back into place.
In just a handful of seconds, his wounds were completely restored – health bar refilled. Soaring skyward once more, he flew straight for the Clear Sky Clan's summit, slaughtering more clan members along the way to replenish his blood.
Tang Hao cursed inwardly, "Damn bat!"
"Big Brother, Elders, we need a stronger attack!"
"A stronger attack…"
The clan Elders and Tang Xiao looked downcast. That last strike had already shattered Tang Chen's body almost to bits; only the bat's blood-absorbing abilities had kept him alive. If they attacked even more fiercely, might they kill Tang Chen outright?
"Seventh Uncle!"
Suddenly an Elder shouted. Everyone's gazes turned toward the slope.
The Killing King, swooping toward the mountaintop, slaughtered every disciple he encountered. Next up was the clan's Seventh Elder, Tang Lie.
"Seventh Brother!"
"Uncle Seven!"
Tang Lie, once a contender at rank 89, had lost an arm to Qian Xunji and never reached Title Douluo. When the domain sealed his rings, he couldn't muster half his hammer's normal power. Not being near Tang Hao's domain, he was alone.
Seeing the Slaughter King hurtling his way, Tang Lie felt no fear. He cried out, "Grandfather, wake up! I am Lie'er!"
"Seventh Brother!"
Tang Xiao, the Elders, and Tang Hao all rushed to help. But Tang Hao, crippled to rank 70-something and lacking full bodily speed, was left behind. Tang Xiao, the strongest, had already sped far ahead of him.
Amid that confusion, the Killing King shifted direction.
"This is bad – Big Brother, come back!"
Tang Hao bellowed in panic, chasing after Tang Xiao as best he could. Likewise, Tang Xiao realized too late, stomping hard to brake, pouring soul power backward to retreat.
