Chapter 342: Dual Gods—Reviving Our Parents
Sea God Island, inside the Sea God Temple
Before Bibi Dong stood a massive purple-black gate radiating endless resentment. By hunting down numerous 100,000-year sea soul beasts, she had completed her full set of soul bones. Her gaze turned toward Spirit Hall—she could sense two overwhelmingly powerful auras emanating from there.
"Those two bastards… Good. Once I become a god, I'll show them whether my dual godhood is stronger or theirs!"
Beside her, the Demon Soul Great White Shark Xiaobai looked dazed, her feelings a mix of expectation and unease. As the Sea God's mount, her highest reverence naturally went to the Sea God. But could she really—as Bibi Dong said—inherit the Sea God's position and become a true divine beast? That was a level even the Deep Sea Demon Whale King failed to reach.
Boom!
At Spirit Hall, a blood-red pillar of light soared into the sky. A colossal, hundreds-of-meters-tall, fully red angel appeared, bearing four pairs of crimson wings. Unlike previous female forms, this angel was male—and his face looked exactly like Qian Renchuan's.
Qian Renchuan didn't need a High Priest to sacrifice himself or guide him to the inheritance site, which made his path to godhood even faster.
The pillar of blood-red energy shook heaven and earth. All soul masters in Spirit City paused in awe, gazing up at the massive red angel. Some even fell to their knees instinctively, overwhelmed by the presence of a divine being.
The angel gradually faded, leaving only a suspended streak of red light. The Pope's Hall and all titled elders of Spirit Hall ran outside in a daze, staring at the radiant figure.
He had long, pale white hair, wore a blood-red suit of armor tailored perfectly to his form, and radiated a fierce, deadly aura. In his hand was a two-meter-long red sword. Behind him extended four pairs of crimson wings—evolved from the Eight Spider Lances into the Asura Eight Wings.
Around his feet floated ten soul rings: the first eight were all crimson, 100,000-year rings. Each was lightly infused with Asura divine power. The ninth was golden and also wrapped in divine energy. The final ring, completely blood-red, radiated chilling killing intent.
"Ten rings… My god… The Holy Son has truly become a god?"
"This overwhelming soul power… This is what a deity feels like…"
Qian Renchuan looked down toward the square outside the Pope's Hall. Titled Douluos, Platinum Bishops, and Red-Robed Cardinals all trembled—worried his personality had changed after becoming a god.
His gaze ignored all of them and locked onto a single person in the crowd—a beautiful young woman in a sky-blue gown, with long ice-blue hair and a flawless figure—Shui Bing'er, the woman he loved most, his fiancée.
Qian Renchuan retracted his Asura Sword and divine armor into his body. In an instant, he crossed space to the Pope's Square and embraced Shui Bing'er.
"Xiao Chuan… is it really you?"
Shui Bing'er was still in shock, frozen from head to toe. She didn't dare return the hug, fearing it was a dream. It wasn't that she didn't believe in Qian Renchuan's talent—but like the elders of Spirit Hall, she worried his personality might have changed after becoming a god.
"Of course it's me. Who else could it be?"
That familiar voice and tone melted her doubts. She leaned into his embrace, filled with happiness.
Nearby, Shui Yue'er pouted with envy but couldn't say anything. She had no chance at all—not compared to Ning Rongrong or Zhu Zhuqing, both far superior in looks and charm.
Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing both looked disheartened. When Zhu Zhuqing met Ning Rongrong at Spirit Hall, they'd discussed Qian Renchuan—and the more they compared, the more he resembled Tang San in both appearance and demeanor: pure, noble, and righteous.
Zhu Zhuqing had originally signed a marriage contract with Qian Renchuan, thinking he wasn't her "Third Brother." But later she realized Qian Renchuan had never accepted that contract—he had simply made her a maidservant under Tang Yuehua. He had rejected not only her but also Ning Rongrong.
Ning Rongrong looked utterly lost. Her father, Ning Fengzhi, had recently died from overindulgence in trying to produce heirs. Now the Ning Clan was hers to lead, but she was only a Soul Emperor with no strong man to rely on. And she had been rejected by Qian Renchuan. She lacked business skills, and now didn't know how she could maintain the family's legacy.
She had no divine-level strength, no powerful connections in Spirit City, and nothing compared to what the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect once had. She wanted to find a worthy man to entrust everything to—but even that seemed out of reach.
—
Before long, another platinum light pillar rose from Douluo Hall. A massive Six-Winged Angel descended, overseeing the entire Spirit City. Qian Renxue now had eight wings, wore divine angelic armor, and floated above ten soul rings: four black, five red, and one glowing gold.
"My sister's spiritual power… how is it this strong?"
Qian Renchuan was stunned. At level 99, he had previously far surpassed Qian Renxue in spiritual power. But now, she was not only equal—she had likely surpassed him.
Had he looked closer at her Snow Empress Jade Crown, he would've realized it had become a divine artifact. No longer a divine-level soul bone—it now matched the rank of her Angelic Divine Sword.
The Whale Pearl of the Deep Sea Demon Whale King had merged into the crown after she completed the Ninth Angelic Trial, evolving it into a true divine artifact and dramatically boosting her spiritual power.
"Sister, where's Grandpa? I can't sense his aura."
After Qian Renxue recounted the Angel God's words, Qian Renchuan nodded. "For Grandpa, that's probably the best ending."
"Xiao Chuan, let's go bring our parents back. The Angel God told me that ordinary souls fade after death, but the soul of an Angel High Priest is nourished by divine power and can be preserved."
"Father was once the Angel High Priest. His soul must still exist in this world."
Qian Renchuan nodded. "I think so too. Let's bring them both back to life—together."
