Chapter 63: Tiamat Rescued!
"Boom—"
"Crack—"
"Bang—"
Above the waters of the Persian Gulf, the once-clear sky was suddenly swallowed by black clouds. Lightning struck from the heavens, and the Sea of Genesis began to boil.
Wild gales raged, even forming waterspouts and tornadoes. It was as if the entire world was screaming in fury.
On the shore, Kingu and Ishtar watched in shock, confused as to why the situation had shifted so violently.
As the Mother Goddess of Creation, Tiamat herself was the origin of this world. Even though she had been exiled to the Imaginary Number Space, her authority returned the moment she stepped back into reality.
The world would not deny its own "Mother."
The lightning, the storms, and the tsunamis were all manifestations of Tiamat's state of mind.
Power at that level influenced the world through every word and action.
If Tiamat was angry, the sky wept lightning and the seas rose in rebellion.
But in the next heartbeat, the Tiamat who looked like a colossal monster emitted a blinding, pure white light.
"Swoosh—"
Within that light, Tiamat's massive form began to shrink rapidly. Finally, she took the shape of a woman about 160 cm tall, with a pair of magnificent horns upon her head.
She possessed a perfect figure—a slender waist, long legs, and a bust size that defied normal standards. This was the Primordial Mother Goddess, Tiamat.
At this moment, someone's face was buried against Tiamat's chest. More accurately, a man's face. Tiamat was holding him with incredible tenderness and affection.
"Hey... are you sure she's Shin Akira's mother?"
Watching this, Ishtar's lip twitched. She turned to Kingu, her voice skeptical.
"This..."
Kingu didn't know how to answer for a moment.
Q: What should I do if my older brother and my mother have a... complicated relationship?
A: Join them and pretend you didn't see anything.
"My child, my precious child..."
On the surface of the sea, the Sea of Chaos continued to expand, but Tiamat, the source, had stopped her advance.
Having been freed from her restraints, the only thing Tiamat wanted to do was stay by her son's side, to nurture and love him.
Tiamat could feel that, in order to save her, this man had burned away every drop of his energy.
His body was now incredibly weak. For the foreseeable future, he would be in a very fragile state.
Therefore, Tiamat would protect him. Until her son recovered, she would not allow anyone to hurt him again.
"Mother, you've finally awakened. Onii-chan succeeded..."
At that moment, Kingu flew toward the sea with Ishtar in tow. But as they got closer, Kingu realized that Akira's aura and Mana were faint—like a candle flickering in a storm, ready to go out at any moment.
"Boom—!"
However, Kingu's arrival didn't bring Tiamat joy. Instead, they were met with a heavy crushing pressure from the goddess.
"Kingu... you did not protect your older brother well. You even let him become like this just to save me."
Aside from her guilt and sadness, Tiamat felt a deep dissatisfaction toward Kingu.
She had forgotten one thing: Akira was always the one in control, not Kingu. Kingu hadn't known what Akira intended to do.
"Yes... Kingu admits her fault. I await Mother's punishment."
Seeing the weakened Akira, Kingu felt a wave of guilt. To her, Akira had become slightly more important than even her mother.
Since the beginning, Mother Tiamat had never responded to her—had ignored her many times. It was Akira who had given her a new life and comforted her time and again.
In this situation, Kingu's feelings had naturally shifted. She would always be loyal to Tiamat, but Akira's position in her heart had gradually surpassed the Goddess.
"I will not punish you, for you are the child he cherishes."
"Mother..."
"You should know what he needs. Go and bring back the object he desires."
"Understood, Mother."
Kingu knew exactly what Tiamat meant. The Holy Grail of Uruk—the thing Akira had always wanted.
Even recently, Akira had sent his nine subordinates to secure it.
Tiamat then turned her gaze toward Ishtar. In an instant, every pore on Ishtar's body tightened, as if she had suddenly been dropped into the freezing depths of the Underworld.
After all, this was the supreme deity of Mesopotamian mythology, a Creator-level god. Forget Ishtar; even her father, the King of Gods, wouldn't dare raise his voice in Tiamat's presence.
Ultimately, Tiamat ignored her. In her eyes, Akira was the only thing that existed in the world; nothing else mattered.
Cradling Shin Akira in her arms, Tiamat began to sink into the Sea of Genesis. She would protect her son, using the entire Primordial Sea as her shield.
Furthermore, there was a "world" her son had given her. She would reshape that world, creating a sanctuary that could house her and protect him at the same time.
As Tiamat disappeared beneath the waves, Kingu stood there with a dark expression. It wasn't because of her mother's attitude, but because of her own helplessness.
She hadn't been able to do anything, and it left her frustrated and angry.
"Hey, Kingu, what do we do now?"
"I am going to Uruk to claim the Holy Grail for Onii-chan."
"And what about me? Let me tell you, I'm not helping you with that."
Uruk was her city, after all. She wouldn't harm her own devotees.
"Hmph, I don't need your help. I will bring back the Grail myself. As for you, go to the forest. That is Quetzalcoatl's territory, and she is Onii-chan's woman."
"Wait, you're joking, right? That Venus Goddess—the same as me—is Shin Akira's woman?"
"Yes. And it's the kind of relationship where Quetzalcoatl was the one chasing him."
"I seriously..."
Ishtar wanted to curse, but the words failed her. As a fellow Goddess of Venus, was she really that "eager"?
