Chapter 13 - A FIERY NIGHT

What happened with this man? Why he treated her like this after almost two months he abandoned her? She thought, he had forgotten about her.

But seeing how attentive he was right now, it confused her.

"It's done," Dalton said. His eyes turned into dull blue color for a moment, before it turned dark again, as he stared at her intently. "Don't you want to go out? Or do you want to continue what we were doing earlier?"

Meera was stunned by how bold the way he talked. He was so brazen and there was no slightest shamed when he talked like that to her, as if that was a normal occurrence.

"Don't bite your lip," Dalton growled when she did that again, because it made him wanting her more.

One of the reasons why he stayed away from her was because he barely could hold himself back, since the pull of the mate bond between them was so strong for him. it was him, who marked her without her consent, thus he took the greatest effect of that.

Meera lowered her head, she was afraid with the way Dalton looked at her right now. He looked like he was going to swallow her whole.

"Alpha." There was knock from outside the car door, followed by the sound of the young shifter. It seemed he had gone away for a little bit to give both of them privacy, to let the alpha finished his business.

However, didn't think that way. If he knew that he should go, it meant, he knew what they were doing inside.

"I… I don't want to go…" Meera stammered, she swallowed so hard and clutched her hands together, to stop herself from shaking out of shock. She had never felt so humiliated like right now in her eighteen years of life.

On the other hand, Dalton eyed her, he didn't have any slightest idea why she acted like this. In his opinion there was nothing wrong with what they had done. Everyone knew that she was his mate. He marked her and their ceremony would be held in less than two weeks.

"Don't be silly." Dalton tidied up her clothes and her hair. "I told you that I will show you the entire pack. What are you going to do inside the car?"

Dalton grabbed her hand tightly and then opened the car door. He pulled her out, a little bit too harsh, since he still couldn't adjust his strength around her.

This made Meera winced and Dalton frowned to see her expression. He couldn't understand why women were very delicate, he didn't even intend to use his strength at all when he pulled her out.

"Stop making that face," Dalton groaned.

"It's hurt," Meera whined, she had her head down when she walked out of the car and the young shifter smiled at her brightly, which made her even more embarrassed, knowing that he knew what they had done. Did he hear her strange voice? How embarrassing that was…

"I don't even use my strength," Dalton countered, he strode toward the building, which was an art gallery.

The building was painted in bright red color and had unique style, which would captivate you when you saw it the first time.

Meera even didn't realize that she needed to half running in order to catch up with Dalton's long strides. She didn't use to workout, therefore, when they arrived and was about to enter the lobby, she almost lost her breath.

"How weak you are," Dalton said when he saw Meera was panting. He didn't intend to slow down, neither he would release her hand, so he literally dragged her around.

"Can you stop insulting me?" Meera mumbled, she felt her hand would break with his strong pressure. "You don't need to be so mean to me."

Dalton glared at her when they entered the gallery, but he didn't say anything after that. He didn't think that he was mean to her, he only stated the fact and she needed work out more.

In the end, Meera could say that she didn't really enjoy her time in this art gallery, because Dalton spent his time there as if they were in the middle of inspection, instead of savoring the beauty of the object itself.

"You have seen them all, now we will go have lunch," Dalton said, after they walked through all the painting in less than thirty minutes. He didn't even stop to take a look at the painting.

On the other hand, Meera was pissed, she was mad, but she couldn't show it to him, thus she could only nod and agree to leave this art gallery, even though she still wanted to stay there a little bit longer, because there was a few paintings that took her interest.

"Do you want some painting?" Dalton took a notice when Meera kept staring behind her back.

"No." Meera shook her head. She wanted today to end quickly because she wanted to stay away from Dalton as soon as possible. She couldn't understand him and couldn't stand him at all.

After that, they went to have lunch in nearby restaurant. During the ride, Dalton didn't say anything to Meera, he crossed his arms and legs and closed his eyes, as if he was sleeping, but the moment their designated driver pulled over he would open his eyes and they were always dark.

Collin had told Meera that Dalton was using his beast's sight if the color of his eyes were like that, but it meant, he used extra effort in order to see his surroundings.

They went a lot of places, but Dalton barely explained anything to her, he assumed, she would be able to tell what kind of place was that by only saw it, which was true, since most of places were the same, only more grandiose compared to her old pack.

And when night came and all the lights on the street had been turned on, he decided to call it a day for now.
