Killer Queen's ability is to turn anything it touches into a bomb. It can then detonate it by pressing a trigger with its right thumb.
There are two types of explosions: one where the person who touches the bomb is killed while the object itself remains intact, and another where the transformed object explodes.
Killer Queen can also choose which part of the object to detonate. The affected portion turns to ash, and the explosion itself is completely silent.
It can only create one bomb at a time, and each bomb can only be detonated once.
In addition, Killer Queen possesses a secondary ability in its left hand—Sheer Heart Attack.
---
As Joey walked toward the door, these abilities surfaced clearly in his mind—the power he now possessed.
But after only two steps, the angry shouting outside abruptly turned into chaotic screams.
Then came cries of terror.
Then panic.
Then agony.
"Something's wrong!"
The thought flashed through Joey's mind instantly.
But he didn't stop.
Instead, he quickened his pace and rushed to the window.
Carefully, he lifted a corner of the rough cloth covering it.
What he saw made him freeze.
---
Grotesque monsters—creatures that looked as though they had been stitched together from different animals—were pouring out of the forest not far from the village.
At the same time, winged, insect-like creatures swooped down from the sky, attacking fleeing villagers.
The monsters weren't especially large—most only slightly bigger and stronger than an adult human.
But their appearance…
And their cold, merciless brutality…
Made them terrifying.
In the blink of an eye, the peaceful village had been turned into a living hell.
More than a dozen monsters rampaged through it.
The villagers who had been banging on his door earlier were nowhere to be seen.
---
Strangely, the monsters didn't seem intent on killing everyone.
Many villagers were being captured instead—dragged away, as if they were meant to be taken somewhere.
---
Joey's heart pounded violently—easily over two hundred beats per minute.
His mind went blank.
Even though he had experienced a life-or-death struggle before, he wasn't prepared for this—
This raw, brutal, survival-of-the-fittest reality.
---
BOOM!
A loud crash came from the door.
Joey flinched, snapping back to his senses.
A monster had found him.
---
He turned sharply.
His gaze fell on Killer Queen.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself—but his body still trembled uncontrollably.
Gritting his teeth, he forced himself forward, step by step, toward the door, which was already splintering under repeated blows.
At the same time, he forced his mind to calm down.
He had to think.
Only by thinking could he find even the slightest chance to survive.
---
He stopped about two meters from the door.
Killer Queen stepped in front of him, its gaze fixed on the door just like his.
Two meters.
That was its effective range.
More precisely, the maximum distance it could move away from Joey.
---
Suddenly—
A sharp, blade-like appendage pierced through the wooden door.
It resembled the scythe-like forelimb of a praying mantis—thin, hard, and razor-sharp.
The wood creaked under the strain.
Joey's heartbeat thundered in his ears.
---
Killer Queen moved.
Slowly, deliberately, it approached the blade-like limb that had pierced through the door—and was now beginning to retract.
It reached out.
And touched it.
---
Contact.
---
In that instant, Joey let out a silent breath.
From that moment on, as long as he wished it—
A single press of his thumb would mean death for the creature outside.
The monster… had become his bomb.
---
But as Joey forced himself to calm down, he realized something.
This wasn't the right moment to detonate it.
There wasn't just one monster.
He had seen more than a dozen.
And there were likely many more hidden in the forest.
The best option… was to lure it inside.
Kill it here.
---
There was another problem.
According to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, non-Stand users shouldn't be able to see Stands.
But Joey himself had seen one before becoming a user.
So he couldn't be sure these creatures wouldn't see Killer Queen.
---
And although Killer Queen's explosions were silent—
The light wasn't.
The flash and flames could easily attract more monsters.
And if that happened…
He had no confidence he would survive.
---
Running blindly wasn't safe either.
As he unconsciously bit his nails, Joey recalled what he had seen.
Then he realized something dangerous—
These monsters…
Showed signs of intelligence.
---
If that was true, then the disappearance of one of them wouldn't go unnoticed.
---
Joey quickly analyzed his situation.
There were only two options:
Kill the monster at the door and escape through the back window—
Or stay here and try to eliminate every monster outside.
---
He didn't hesitate.
He chose to run.
---
He had no idea how many monsters were still in the forest.
If he stayed and fought, once discovered, he would be surrounded and killed.
Escape was his only real chance.
---
Before leaving, he needed to prepare.
Food.
Water.
A flint and steel.
Weapons.
Rope.
Anything useful for survival.
A map, if possible.
Without these, surviving outside the village would be extremely difficult.
---
He also needed a distraction—
Something to draw the attention of the flying monsters.
Otherwise, he would be spotted the moment he stepped outside.
Fortunately, he already had a few ideas.
So he focused on gathering supplies.
---
Time was running out.
The monster at the door had already seen him.
---
Joey quickly collected basic necessities from the kitchen.
Then he moved to the bedside cabinet.
He pulled out a cloth bag—
And froze.
---
Inside were things that absolutely did not belong in a primitive village:
A pistol.
A grenade.
A cell phone.
A flashlight.
---
There was also a marked map.
And a wallet made from some kind of animal hide, faintly glowing white in his vision.
---
Inside the wallet were several banknotes—
And an ID card.
The photo showed a handsome young man with black hair, dressed in a white combat uniform, holding an assault rifle.
---
Beneath the photo…
Was a familiar name.
---
Kira Yoshikage.
---
Joey's thoughts froze.
…What is going on?
