Under this kind of overwhelming firepower, the Undead Army actually can't really gather up, or maybe the mastermind behind the Undead Army is deliberately refusing to let them fully assemble, just to avoid getting wiped out by some random full-screen AOE. So in this world, the Undead are mostly coming in as small squads taking turns in a war of attrition.
As for the humans, you can only say they're roughly united for now. According to the people in this settlement, although the whole world has all sorts of different names for them, they're all just warlords. Right now these warlords occupy the best few pieces of land and have founded their own "nations", each one insisting that they're the true orthodox Empire.
Even though they're "allied" for the moment, if there's any chance to screw the other side over, they absolutely won't hold back.
