"Headquarters, headquarters, out of a total of 30,000 starships launching, 18,721 immediately went missing upon reaching the edge of the image of the Cosmic Void! According to the fixed point's Demon Element sensors, these missing starships..."
"...are all destroyed!"
The brutal data instantly struck everyone's hearts.
Because it was different from the predictions, the further expansion of the Cosmic Void caused its influence to swell, turning areas that were once safe into dead zones.
Even the paths once traversed by the expedition team, areas that were confirmed safe, are no longer secure...
That's why the last expedition team had no choice but to take on this moth-to-flame method.
If there were no Demon Element... without this magical resource that suddenly appeared at the edge of the Cosmic Void, they would have no way to counter the Cosmic Void.
It's as if the Demon Element was birthed by the universe specifically to combat the Great Void, the opposite of it.
