In the evening, Chancellor Xue finally finished his backlog of work, walking home like a flickering candle in the wind.
If previously the only thing he cared about was his wife and kids, that last bit of concern vanished after discovering he was simultaneously traversing worlds.
"I'm back..." He arrived at the house he lived in this world, a place set up by that kid Howard. Apparently, Howard was eventually taught a harsh lesson by his tigress of a wife, whose screams sounded like Tom Cat.
This was why he didn't quite like this world; the people here were too violent, often resorting to physical confrontations, yet they love each other passionately. Indeed, different cultures and habits lead to discomfort, not to mention it's an Otherworld.
"Hmm?" He was a bit puzzled; clearly, his three wives were all pregnant and would get the appropriate rest time, not needing to work in such a physical condition. So where were they?
