Xue Family Bridge Village is going to be demolished; they might be the last to know about it.
But it doesn't matter. Regarding the location of the new resettlement houses or any other compensation, Xue Dili isn't concerned. The existence being dismantled is merely an "oh" response for him.
Yet, Little Dragon Lady seems to think differently; she appears to be quite downcast. Whenever she thinks about the village disappearing, a place occupying most of her memories just vanishing, she feels upset.
"Daddy, Daddy, can the village not be demolished..." On the way home, Little Dragon Lady holds Xue Dili's hand and says.
Xue Dili stops at the doorstep and looks at this village, which isn't really prosperous.
His eldest daughter's mind is still like that of a child; her psychological age is akin to a two- or three-year-old. Perhaps for such a child, the village's disappearance is like the sky falling.
But this village has already pretty much reached its end.
